  • JUDY. LONDON. 1969. has been selected as TJGE Album Of The Month, and director, Jaycub, has made a video utilizing Judy's opening song from the album featuring remarkable video footage of Judy out and about in London in early 1969, as well as rare photos of Judy onstage at the Talk Of The Town where the album was recorded. Garland's husband, Mickey Deans, and singer Johnnie Ray, can also be seen. By the way, remember Easter Eggs on DVD's? We do too ;) hint.

Almost everyone says that about this time in her life, but she doesn’t look that bad to me. Maybe it’s just because I love her so much, but I just don’t see it. However, I feel very sad when I see her because of all the men who made so much money off her, and the ones who just outright stole from her. If only someone had taught her how to handle her own money, and not to trust anyone. She should not have died broke! Why didn’t the countless millionaires who loved her just buy her a house and set up a trust fund that no one could touch. They all knew her situation!

      Cause she worked hard
I come frm family who work hard put 100% into it some of thier faces look older than thier age cause hard work stress that came with it we were taught to do farm chores age 5 that was hard but strong Morals and responsibilities we came away with it , Judy Garland as other actors are taught bad habits like drugs so thier bodies allow them to get through that's wrong ,and very sad to me that speaks poor professionalism on the part those who they sign contracts with
Unfortunately it's only a money deal for producers so they run them like rats expect them to look ,feel thier best like tag on clothes for sale
I'm sure some are little more respectful but not many
I enrolled in to acting when I was younger ended up having surgery frm illnesses thought hard about the career choice and learning about so many actors actress being burnt out frm alcoholism or drug addiction I decided to turn it down I didnt come frm good up bringing and that's one of the leading Crises that most Actors that come frm bad upbringing end up becoming frail CHOSING alcohol or drugs to get them threw I wanted better for myself never have looked back that is choosing our heavenly Father he made me prosperous in other areas of my life 😊

There was no one like her. I've always known and loved her, but until I saw Zellweger's fantastic performance, I really didn't realize how difficult Judy's life really was. I saw her on stage at the Palace Theater in 1951. After an exciting set she said to us (the audience) that she was tired, and if we didn't mind, could she kick off her shoes and relax. Of course, everyone applauded, and she did -- she kicked off her shoes and sat down on the stage letting her legs hang into the orchestra pit. The lights dimmed, spot on her, and she sang Over the Rainbow. MANY years later, I realized she didn't do it just because I was there. It was part of the show. But remember -- back then I was just a kid, and really believed she was doing it for me.

Judy Garland stands as the penultimate cautionary tale of Hollywood. Everybody there loved Judy for her prodigious talent, everybody used Judy because she made them lots of money, and everybody got rich except Judy, who died impoverished in her fifth husband's tacky low-rent flat in London's Chelsea District. The trajectory of her life is heartbreaking.

I don’t know the end of her story though, so I can’t speak to if anyone denied support for her in the end.
Such a sad journey for Judy Garland,, I think all she wanted was unconditional love. Someone was always using her for their own gain.

    • @89ksokd91

@@marahmillicentbalarny8447 I think in those times people were often not allowed to ask or need the support, and
if not allowed, it is a natural response to trauma to cover it up or not show it. My grandma was from Judy's time and the term "buck up" was uttered when any problem surfaced, and this reprimand was passed from her to my mother to her offspring. It's a harsh world that people were just expected to "deal". Well, it's still true today, but moreso in her time. Anyway, we help cats and cats don't show their pain often, I do not understand the issue extending helpful resources to other humans. And I agree it appears she just needed unconditional love and support and didn't seem to have it in any adult.

I think the dress we are seeing in these clips is the dress she was buried in... and to fast forward to 2017, she was just moved from NY to CA so Liza and family could be eventually interred next to her, no room in NY I guess... and it would be that dress that took another plane flight this year... and was placed in CA.

And this film is yet another bunch people making a buck off Judy's name and telling the story about her they want to tell. Renee seems very sweet and well meaning but none of Judy's kids are happy about it and I don't blame them - they're fed up with everyone focussing on her scandals and struggles rather than her talent and light and it's not what Judy would want to be remembered for. Also I would HATE to see someone portraying me and inventing conversations I'd apparently had without even asking me if I'm ok with it - it must be incredibly uncomfortable and painful for Liza, Lorna and Joe to be subjected to that. We need to learn from history that the performers we love are often hurting or being harmed in order to give us the performances we cherish. We need to start taking care of people and not letting our greed help the destruction of human beings. I am grateful for what Judy and others have given us during their long walk on this Earth. We need to start caring more about people's health than what they can do for us. I would rather Judy had stepped back from fame and gotten herself okay if it had been possible and lived to be an old lady, than to have had her burned out, in so much pain she had to self medicate, to be dead at 47, and left three children motherless, just so we could all hear her sing or so she could pay some bills. It's NOT ALRIGHT WHAT PEOPLE ARE PUT THROUGH. it's not just performers and athletes. It's also preacher's and politician's children forced into performing and being perfect for their perspective audiences. We need to look out for people and rip apart society's status quo. People like Judy, Shirley Temple, Amy Winehouse and others still living or dead that represent an epedemic - people seem willing to sacrifice for a little entertainment or for life to feel easier. It isn't right.
