    I have lived in Hungary for more than five years. It is my home now. Without exception I can say that you make THE BEST videos about all things Hungary. Whether museums, restaurants, non-Budapest cities to visit, etc. Unlike most visiting CZcamsr's who drop in for 3 days and say the same thing as everyone else, you really know Budapest (you did a review of Varosliget!) All future tourists and visitors should watch ALL of these videos. You will really get a great experience on your visit. I live here and even I have learned things from these videos. Köszönöm Akos.

    Would be great to see an episode about good quality restaurants/bars/food trucks serving reasonably priced typical Hungarian cuisine (gulyásleves, csirkepaprikás, lecsó or... töltött káposzta). There are lots of them at Váci utca, but they are pricey. An episode about getting around by public transport would be also brilliant. Cheers! 😃

    Hi Akos, I will be there in Budapest from 20th Aug, I really hope I run into you somewhere, you look like a really pleasant person and it would have been lovely to meet up. I am going to try and find some of Kolodko's mini statues hahaha. You take care and keep up the good work. Conrad.

      Thank you so much! Hunting for Kolodko's work can be very entertaining and an excellent way to explore the city 😊 I may be out on the streets on the 20th, I want to see the fireworks this year 😊

    Thanks a lot! Congratulations for the channel!! I am coming to Budapest next Christimas and could you let me know if the markets will work on the 23rd and 24th of December?

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Thank you! :) the Christmas markets will be open for sure (though as most things they will close earlier on 24th which is Christmas eve and celebrated in Hungary). These Markets we showed in the video may or may not be, they should have events scheduled on their Facebook page, so maybe a check in prior weeks could help 😊

    These videos are awesome and so helpful. Thank you! I will be there for Easter this year. Do you have any recommendations on special activities?

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hey there! To be very honest, the traditional Easter activities are more prominent in the countryside. For example the small village of Hollókő has it's special Easter Festival. Budapest doesn't have much going on other than a few localised small events and masses at Church. But if people sprinkle water or perfume on others on the streets... don't be suprised :D although in the countryside it's sometimes a bucket of water (yes... we did "Icebucket Challenge" for a very long time already :D)

      Thank you so much for this information, it’s so helpful! I live in Germany and most stores are closed
      On Sundays with almost everything shut down on religious holidays. Is it like this in Budapest?

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Hey there! Places like Gozsdu, Szimpla weekend market are surely available in colder months and WAMP usually is organized at a different venue where it can be inside 😊

    Are weekend markets shown in this video open in November?

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  Před 5 měsíci

      Hey there! Some of them are. WAMP designer market is usually hosted at a different venue where it's indoors, I have seen that Pancs Piac operated during colder season as well, and Szimpla also regularly has it's weekend market. The one at Erzsébet square close to Deák tér may not happen at the same place outdoors. As your trip gets closer you can check the links in the description to see their planned events and schedules :)

    Life in Hungary is very expansive, i was shocked as austrian, when i lived 3 month in Budapest, many things more expansive then in Austria. Salaries still low, also in Budapest, compared what you pay for good furnished apartments😑

      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hey there! Certainly, you shouldn't have any issues with that. Just note that since it's kind of rare for locals to see this, so some people may stare a bit or turn a head, but that's mainly because they are not used to it. But since in recent years tourism has increased, many people from various cultural backgrounds can be seen on the streets 😊
