Daragh Ó Tuama drives the Peugeot 508 in Ireland. The car itself is quite impressive, but it's the small niggly bits that can be annoying. The 1.6 BlueHdi engine is very impressive and returns an excellent fuel economy.... but the placement of the coffee cups might get on your nerves!
The styling of the Peugeot 508 is still attractive, and if you go for the right trim line, you will find the seats to be extremely comfortable. There are a few things that could be done better - practical things, like the aforementioned positioning of the cupholders, and even the armrest storage door could be done a lot better. That sounds a bit petty... right?
The suspensions set-up of the 2016 / 2017 Peugeot 508 is nicely suited to the roads in Ireland, and even the styling is pretty.

The fact that he had to bash the cup holders shows that this car does not have any real down sizes or problems!
Price - great
power 1.6hdi - good // 2.0hdi - great
Reliability - great
Fuel economy - great
made from galvanized steel - rust prof - great
suspension/ride quality - made for comfort, but stiff - good
looks - good
interior - good
A decent car that looks good. Nothing special, but stands out more than competition in terms of style.
Oh come you guys credit where credits due.
I have owned a 2015 308sw gt line very flash in black
2.0 litre auto turbo diesel and kept it for about 6 months.
The icockpit design was great but my arms and shoulders ached from such a small steering wheel
I'm a big chap I guess but it flew along just nice.
When I saw on my Peugeot dealerships forecourt a 508sw gt 2015 facelift in cumulus grey
Wow what beauty
19" alloys too the car is fully loaded with everything and the whole package just works
It looks amazing when it's cleaned every week and yes it gets lots of looks
Led lights and have been mistaken for an ol bill car on several occasions
People just see a mass of blue tinged led lights in their rear view mirror and pull over
How strange
Anyway you have to drive this car to appreciate it before you comment on what you may think it's like.
Auto box super smooth, the road holding, is very surprising for such a big motor it sticks like glue.
And trust me the 2.0 litre hdi blue diesel auto absolutely goes like a bomb.
It pulls like a train.
There is so much torque. Yes sometimes you catch it out pulling out from a roundabout but then wow it's off and it takes some catching too
There is stacks of legroom in the front and rear and the headroom is great and you can fit plenty in the rear as well.
Napa leather seats all round the cup holders work just fine I swear to god these car reviews are so biased it's untrue
Yes the storage is a bit odd and yes the cup holders when used do block things but you shouldn't be drinking when you're driving anyway.
If you have half a brain you only make the cup holder mistake once.
Review people get a grip for gods sake.
The interior is posh and you'd be hard pushed to know it was a Peugeot if it didn't have the name on the steering wheel.
The short answer is try it you might be pleasantly surprised
So therefore review people lets not go on about how good the German build quality is
All my bosses have had bmw from new
Trust me they are boring and built just not as good as you guys think they are.
Try it and see.
Remember Peugeot 508sw gt top spec and go for it.

What a bullshit my friend. You've got nothing against so again we have to listen bullshit story about cup holders. I've made in this car 120000 miles and there is no problem with ergonomic in this car.
Did you have 508 active 1.6L deisel automatic ?
