    INGREDIENTS AND RECIPE:
350g Shrimp (Shells removed and deveined)
    40 Wonton Wrappers
    1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
    1/2 Teaspoon Salt
    2 Teaspoons Chinese Cooking Wine
    1/2 Teaspoon Sugar
    1 Teaspoon Pure Sesame Oil
    2 Teaspoons Cornflour (a.k.a. Cornstarch)
    1/4 Teaspoon Ground White Pepper
    1 Teaspoon Chicken Seasoning Powder
Add baking soda and salt to shrimp and rub both into the shrimp. Then keep in refrigerator or about 30 minutes.
Then clean shrimp with cold running water to wash off excess baking soda and salt.
Cut shrimp into 2 to 4 chunks depending on size of shrimp. I like to leave half of the shrimp whole also. Marinade shrimp with Chinese cooking wine, sugar, pure sesame oil, ground white pepper, chicken seasoning powder and cornflour. Mix well and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Place shrimp on one corner. It is important not to overfill wrappers as they will break. Put a line of egg wash halfway across wrapper. Roll up the corner with the shrimp just until it lines up under the tip corner.
Push out air bubbles and seal edges. The pull together corners from left to right and pinch. Finally pull the top corner down for a final seal.
Drop the shrimp wontons into boiling water. When it floats it’s ready to eat!

The baking soda trick, that's what I wanted to hear. I've been using that very method for years now. So glad you're spreading the word!
And about your issue with constipation, I got nothing. Lol!

Hi, hope all is well with you 😀 Yes I do use baking soda on my shrimp especially when it is the main ingredient such as this case.

This was great easy way to make shrimp wontons 👍👍👍 . I agree the ramen noodle by itself isn’t enough for my guy …I usually buy frozen shrimp wonton or pork dumplings to amp up his lunch . the shrimp wontons are his fav and prices have increased .
Your method is simple so I will try to make a batch and freeze extras to add to his lunches.
That baking sofa tip was nice .
Thank you Wally for another great tutorial 🙏🏻🙏🏻 .

Hi Berniece, for me I did that in NYC too. But here in Thailand at my local supermarket 4 pieces of shrimp wonton cost $2. So better I make it myself 😀

Great video! What’s the crunchy stuff inside shrimp wonton that some place have in them? Can I lightly chop up the shrimp or not a good idea?

Hi Lien, I'm pretty sure the crunchy stuff is water chestnut. And sure you can chop them up as you wish 😀 I just like full shrimp cause looks better after cooking.
