You have to laugh at how the homer announcers conveniently forget to mention that Gary Dornhoefer whacked Mike Palmateer with his stick from the ice intentionally before he got whacked. I was playing competitive hockey during those years and I remember one of my coaches telling us "never throw a punch or start a fight when you are laying on the ice" ....this is a perfect illustration as to why those were wise words.

He did hit the Goalie in the face with his stick first, But,, the goalie has a mask, and the goalie's stick is twice as heavy.
