Ferguson never wanted any part of Kurtenbach...! He knows what would have happened! Dirty player, even Bobby Hull said that in his last book... He rated him and Bugsy Watson as the two dirtiest he played against!
No. 4 Leafs. Is that Kurt Walker or Dave Dunn?
Milbury still feels it in 2024 lol
These days were best
Marv albert wow...love it.
These were the golden years of Bruins and Habs . Great hockey and players.
From what i remember watching the game on NBC, Tim Ryan announcing is Mr. Ashbee was down for quite a while. Very sad for everyone involved in that game.
The sound of the hit is so vivid, incredible actually.
Bobby Orr couldnt carry Keith Magnusen's jock strap
Reggie Fleming was gooid size, could really throw a punch, and was tough as hell.Afraid of no one.
Sorry those years are gone , but I have the memories
When I was a kid watching Bruins games on WSBK-TV38, I would’ve died to have had reception this good.
Viktor, do you have this full game by any chance?
The Black Hawks probably lost more talent to the 1967 expansion than any other O-6 team.
Henry Boucha sitting next to Hextall and Dave Forbes sitting next to Orr in the penalty box. It’s chilling seeing them sitting there, knowing what will happen when they leave the box. The Bruins will win this game, 8-0 and Bobby will collect 4-assists. However, the lives of Henry and Dave will never be the same.
Just a "butt end" to the eye socket! Forbes was incensed because Boucha got the better of him prior too the penalties.
Forbes nailed Boucha with an elbow while checking him hard into the boards. While Forbes back was turned, Boucha hit Forbes in the back of the head with a right, then when Forbes turned, Boucha nailed him in the face with a terrific right. Forbes landed one punch but O’Reilly jumped in receiving the third man in penalty while Forbes received 2 for elbowing and 5 for fighting. Boucha received 5 for fighting and an extra 2 for jumping Forbes from behind.Forbes warned Boucha while they were in the box that “this isn’t over”. It’s all in the court documents and the video of the entire game can be found online.
Dave died last week.
Whenever one of the Frenchies were touched, Ferguson was paid to step in to protect them
Guy throws a hard cheap shot around the ref and Flaman takes it and keeps coming lol
I vividly remember this series--the Leafs lost both games in Boston by scores of 10-0 and 7-0 and then returned home and lost both games there by one goal each game. Following game 4 Leafs coach Punch Imlach was fired right in the Leafs dressing room after game 4. The Bruins would go on to lose the next series against Montreal 4 games to 2. The sixth game of that series was one of the most tense games I can remember and ended early on a Friday morning when Jean Beliveau scored an OT winner in a 2-1 win for Montreal
Wally Harris was a horrible referee.
Pilote was a savage. He laid a full two handed swing with his stick at Shack's head. If he had of connected he might still be serving time in the big house.
Wally Harris was a good ref but didn’t have a good night that day. Still, he had to have balls to throw out Bobby Orr in Boston. He’s lucky he got out with his life!
Barclay Plager, Bob Gassoff and Gary howett it’s a shame all those gentlemen have passed away now
Sorry we didn't see Nystrom and Irvine. Unger could fight but Howatt clocked him there.
I don't either Irvine or Nystrom wanted to go. But yeah, I was hoping they were gonna go.
Ha ha ha. I saw this when it happened, back on WOR channel 9.
Funny Schultz reaching over one last time, looking more like trying to grab from the cookie jar
Ron “Captain Crunch” Harris. I guess the NYC legal system was referring to the game and the Flyers were Trump.
Stemma! Stemma!
Not sure where Don Luce is here. But must have learned pretty quick not to fight. Sabres lost the Cup to Flyers because of guys like him, great players, skilled and fast but missing bulk and toughness
Bruce, there it is! In answer to ‘hey, Holmgren, where’s your fist?’!
Great!!! I hope someday someone will find the Sather-Foley fight at MSG to dispel the rumor that Sather won. I was there...Foley was giving him a beating before Nelson pulled him down from behind.
100% CORRECT Have the front page New York Daily news pics from that fight and remember the call from Marv Albert on the radio. Foley was winning big. That fight was expected because Sather had sticked Foley in Philly a couple of weeks earlier. Great find on this fight from the good old days. Will be posting more on Paul Bruin 2
@@paul72717 Yes, the game before was when Sather hit Foley, with his stick, from the bench. The game was televised on WOR 9.
Hey clown, it's Clark Gillies, not G Gillies.
The game has changed, thank goodness, so pigs like John McKenzie would not be tolerated by the league or even other players. He was out there to injure others.
How about that skating behind the goalie , then leg off the pipe, that gotta leave a bruise…
Gare looked like a school boy, maybe got underestimated. But man he had a temper and would go nuts.
Simon Nolet, not known for his fighting, actually did well in a bout with Ferguson.
I loved the Flyers when I was a kid in ‘74/‘75! They were rough, tough, and dynamic. They deserved most of the penalties they got, but definitely deserved to draw more than they did. Take this late hit by Gainey. Definitely deserved a roughing penalty.
Refs ruin everything!
Talk about the WORST no tripping call ever!
nice clip of the wolfman , gonna be putting up some old clips on Paul Bruin 2
The Flyers were gutless cowards
I find it interesting that they're carrying their sticks so high
Silly boy
Odd that Ian Turnbull wasn't penalized lol (#2 for the Leafs)
Harris was one ruff guy not big but tuff as nails
Bruh
The subtle commentary of Danny Gallivan…..😊 And the penalty boxes with no walls or glass between the crowd and the players 😮
Good days.
Wally Harris the greatest Montreal Canadian fan to ever ref a games. I loved him.
Makes me sad watching old epic highlights . Ladies league now
