BMW R1300 GS | SW-Motech Engine Guards Installed and Compared to the Hepco & Becker Crash Bars!

- Made the switch to the Motechs. Absolutely nothing wrong with the H&Bs but going a different direction.
The main differences are powdercoat finish (Motech = Fine textured | H&B = Satin black) and where the lower rear bolt goes into. On the Motechs, it bolts to the frame. On the H&Bs, all three bolt into the engine. As for the rest, you can see for yourselves how both are shaped on the bike.

I really like the SW Motech ones. What’s keeping me from ordering them is the fact that they only have 3 points of contact. I would have preferred 4 points of contact.
The SWs and H&Bs look the best in my opinion. They definitely look the sportiest. But if you do a lot of offroad, then a 4-point system might be best, such as a touratech or Wunderlich. They just look too bulky and cluttered for me. They take a way from the lines of the bike. Good luck!
Your videos have been a huge inspiration to what I wanna do to my bike as soon as I receive it next month. Just finished a video about the BT Moto tuning. Even the stage 1 looks promising.

People on the internet get bent out of shape when someone copies or rips an idea, look, etc off someone else. I don't get it. But I guess way too many people have too much time on their hands and like to flame people for imitation.

Seen a lot of different crash bars on videos and some in real life, and for me OEM bars still looks best.
