The plastic side case is the best option IMO, because it saves weight for the actual packaging inside, unlike the aluminum version.

Nice one my German friends. Food for thought. I will be looking into luggage solutions next year. I’m not sure what way to go as yet. The OEM panniers look decent. I will not rush in. I’m not touring till April 2024 and I do have your dry bags which I could use anyway.

You guys make the best luggage. I have your bags for my BMW R18 and Super Tenere. Top kit. You can save money by buying your stuff first (also less clutter).
Previous GS had plastic tank with weak nut inserts to hold on gas fill area and therefore weak tankbag mount. R1300GS has the aluminum gas tank and should hold the tank bag mount much better. Previous GSA had an aluminum tank.
some nice luggage options there and i like you can take the bracket off when you're not using it
Just a heads to anyone, always buy the waterproof tank bags. You'll regret it in a down pour if you don't.

Honestly, it was the Vario case system on the r1300gs, which prevented me from buying a new R1300gs Trophy. I had Varios on my 2017 1200GS. I have top loader aluminum on my 2022 Rally. Your bags and systems, look like a good alternative for the 1300.

Would be nice to see the pannier frame put back if only 30 sec
Thanks for the great video. I will probably get one of your tank bags, but would love to see some straps on them so it's easy to carry around when on and visiting places, so all your valuables can be with you without using your hands.
The other thing I would LOVE to see from someone, is a locking topbox (hard or soft) that will carry two full face helmets!!
So, (en route especially) we don't have to carry at least one helmet around with us when stopping for sight seeing.
If you are motorcycle camping, unless you are already pitched up somewhere, the panniers will be full.
Also, I wonder if you have designed locking panniers hard or soft, that will fit on the BMW panniers racks and connect into the central locking system where possible and even have a light.
Are your seats heated at all?

How do you prevent for those cases not be stolen, and how do you make what is inside them to be protected cause I don't see any locks?

unfortunately, we haven't found a solution yet. As the system is strapped to the back of the bag together with the adapter plate, we haven't yet developed a suitable lock for this.

These aluminum side bags look great, but wonder how much abuse the side mounting system can take in a low speed tip over?

So far we have received positive feedback from customers.
The cases have withstood it or have been scratched. with a fully loaded machine and rider, it can also come to dents depending on the situation.
Hi Guys, I've just this week purchased the Trax Adventure package for my R1250 GS and what made me go for your system was knowing if I change to a R1300GS I just need to purchase new frames. My only real question is regarding the lid retaining strap, Could they not be made on some sort of quick release so they can be detached if still wearing gloves? Also, I have the Yukon case which is excellent but ideally, I'd like the GS Pro tank bag, any plans to increase the selection of waterproof bags? Thanks Jay

As a top case (regardless of the carrier load) you have a maximun load of 5 kg.
As a side case (regardless of the side carrier load) you have a maximun load of 10 kg.

The Vario luggage case mounts come with the premium package selection. I’m not sure if I can remove that from the selection. If not, will your luggage racks still fit around the Vario mounts even if not being used? In other words, does it matter if the Vario mounts are there or not?

Unfortunately, you can only attach our panniers to our pannier rack. And we have only tested and developed our pannier rack on the original series condition of the R1300 GS. //KS
@@SW-MOTECHThanks, but I think you misunderstood or I didn’t phrase my question correctly. The BMW Vario mounts are part of the premium package on the GS1300. Do I need to remove the Vario mounts in order to install your pannier rack? The model in the video looks like a Triple Black. If so, what did you do with the Vario mounts before you installed the SW Motech pannier rack, or did you not need to remove them? Or maybe this bike didn’t have the Vario mounts at all?
Hey Ron, if you want to mount our PRO side carrier or our Adventure Rack luggage carrier on your R1300 GS, you will have to remove the original carriers from BMW.

Nice quality, as always from SW Motech. But for the love of God, can someone not make a quality ABS plastic pannier (lighter weight, less cost) that is "TOP" opening, for practicality?

But their bikes are already heavy enough without luggage, and few use their $30k Adv-Tourers off-road, so lighter-weight top-opening touring panniers, which are more watertight and less prone to flexing than side-openers, and more secure than soft luggage, would be ideal - and would be a genuine unique selling point to any pannier manufacturer who realizes that gap in the untapped market. Make it and the buying public will respond positively...

I'm just about to order a new R 1300 GS - my first GS. And I already found a Dealer of my Trust and told him which Accessories from SW-Motech I want him to pre-install on my new bike. Like the whole Protection bars, Side and Top Cases, a few few other things.

The seat covers are pretty but shaped wrong as they're higher in the center than the edges. It should be like a tractor seat where it's lower in the center and higher on the edges

Hey @SW-MOTECH, a headlight guard would be good. Only one available now is Touratech (very ugly) and the bmw one. BMW one is on the right track as it protects from stones and such. Touratech would let too many stones through! Make it happen!!

@@SW-MOTECH excellent. Thanks for the response. Just make sure the headlight cover is a solid piece so it doesn't let road dirt and stones through. Like clear polycarbonate or whatever is durable :)
You guys should steal from Mosko’s tank bags and offer a water bladder and more organized t’s k bag storage options.
Also, an entire rack just for your soft panniers isn’t great. Both Mosko and LoneRider are better.
Finally, having to purchase a new rear brake lever to accommodate the extender is a bad design and there are better out there that don’t require it. Seems like you don’t employ anyone who’s riding the GS off-road.

A headlight protection that completely masks the horrible oem design will be very nice.
Or a completely new headlight will be even better .

Removable rack is cool, but “it’s so easy to remove” that you can’t show us isn’t too convincing. 😂 it’s a good idea, but perhaps just a terrible sales team.
No footage of them putting the rack back as well. I suspect not so easy.

I fitted your crash bars to my GS 1300 and let it fall on the right hand side onto a flat concrete surface. The cylinder head struck the ground and was damaged because your crash bar does protrude far enough on the right hand side to keep the cylinder head from damage. Very poor design. I would not recommend your product for this bike and I am amazed that you sell such a poorly designed product. Contacted your customer care who basically told me to go away.

@@akaxe77 I got no resolution. @sw-motech ignored my original complaint and basically told me to get lost. Then they said here that they would be in touch. Well guess what! They never bothered getting in touch. Disgraceful disregards for customers. Do not buy their crash bars as they do not protect your bike.
