  • I am doing this one just to get the basic understanding of the maintenance that would/could/should be done on a system. Of course it can be done differently and this is just my way of doing it. I try to walk through the process as if I were at a customers home. Feel free to change it up and make it your own. The whole point is give you an idea of what should be done (at a minimum) and not necessarily the order in which to do it.
Does anyone even look at or read the descriptions anymore?? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks. I kinda botched the sound up a little on this last one but i can't quit my day job to start full time editing yet! I love doing the electrical videos because i think it is where a lot of techs have trouble truly understanding. It takes time, studying and or reading after work to develop the skill. Glad to hear you got them up and running and I know they appreciate it!

Do you pull the breaker before tightening the disconnect? Could you accidentally create loop through ground and send 120v through your body?

Usually (like I imagine most techs do) I just make sure to be careful and tighten it up while the line power is coming into the disconnect. Not a problem unless you get sloppy and start angling the screwdriver towards the side of the enclosure. You probably would not create a loop through you before you tripped the breaker if you accidentally grounded the circuit!
