      Agreed! This is the best section of the Hooch. Crazy to think this river starts up in the mountains near Chattahoochee Gap on the AT.

      Thank you my friend! This week, I took my father to Akers Mill Trailhead which runs along this area where the jumping rock is. We had lunch by the river and then hiked the trail along the river. He loves going back to places where we went over 30 years ago. Good times!

    Awesome yak trip with your dad. I need to get my yaks out for a paddle soon! Got a new car so trying to get use to putting them up on the new rack set up. I need a better camera setup. You would laugh if you saw how I had it jimmied up in the front of my yak. Its a hot mess! Another great video Metro!

    • @MetroOnTheMove
      @MetroOnTheMove  Před 3 lety +3

      This was the run of the season and it’s getting hot out there in Georgia! Trying to upgrade my ride to a Tacoma so will be easier to get yaks in the back. I use the Yakima Jaylow systems and it’s easy to throw them on the rack. For the camera system, I mounted a GoPro adhesive mount to the top of the yak and use a jaws mount from GoPro set up for the camera and it works great on the river and on trail. Thanks for watching and the kind words my friend! Cheers!

    Super cool that you and your Pops got out and had some fun together. If you ever come to Florida, hit me up, and we can explore some crystal clear springs. Citrus County is home to some of the best paddles on the west coast of Florida.

      Thank you my friend and I appreciate your support! My dad was super stoked to get back out there. At 70, he was a trooper to paddle 9 miles. Felt bad as at the end, he fell in the water and fried his iphone. I have taken him on a few adventures now, and he loves to get there when he can. This is such a great section of the river and we are always out there in some fashion. Love Interstate North for weekend hikes and such if we can't make it to the mountains. Thanks for watching and the support!

      @MetroOnTheMove  Před 3 lety +3

      We saw an eagle 🦅 in this area last year in the 4th of July! Less traffic on the river from Morgan Falls to Powers Island. Not too crazy except for a few areas but should be fine. Just make sure to bring a PFD for each kayak as they are required in this area.
