>Not Branderburg
>*TRIGGERED*
RockedBR what is a "Branderbug"?
brandenburg's ugly cousin??
it was called that in the video
Lennart On Fire he was pointing out that the player in the video formed Germany as Hesse, rather than the popular choice, Brandenburg. (or in this guy's case, Branderbug)
i fucking know that. but the other people said "lol whos branderburg" even tough it was called like that in the video by the uploader, this guy who commented just adopted that typo
World Conquests and blobbing are boring but stuff like this is actually interesting and more realistic. Sensible borders are more satisfying than a big old mess.
Flimpeen Flarmpoon I absolutely agree.
ya playing realistic and managing vassals and trade companies is sooo much more satisfying.
Batavan republiek in 1641 is not realistic
Chester Agote I have it big boi
Lord Of Onions this is true
I always enjoy myself a bit of Anschluss ever so often.
Once a day is really healthy
Swecraft1 one Anschluss a day keeps the nazi's away
Quite the opposite actually
Simon Weibel one Anschluss a day keeps the SS away??
That's more like it!
couldnt stop watching the action in spain, aragon dominated, only to get stomped later on by france, who in turn imploded.
Aragon was wreck of country, they were in constant debt of few thousands of ducats, at the end they bankrupted and were exiled to Africa. France didn't implode on their own, I forced them to release everything....
Objective Gaming oh sorry I missed that part, we'll hats off to the German empire for causing the fall of the BBB
Objective Gaming have you ever played with MEIOU?
Alexander West se
Mate, I god damn love your use of client states to shape your own alternate history of Europe, and the way you clearly care more about fun and cool events (Deliberately having the President lead a coup and become emperor, justifying creating new client states) than just micromanaging everything for maximum tryhard/efficiency is awesome. So much more fun to watch. Subbed.
Thank you, I'm bored of games where you take country 'X', and make their font largest... This way it looks realistic someway, like something Napoleon did IRL...
+Objective Gaming Indeed! I enjoy it so much more. Keep doing what your doing, thanks for it.
Czechoslovakia in 18th century.... it's magic
and yugoslavia
FRiPciuch bohemia
heh, 5:05 italy looks like the flag of italy
The borders of Europe look so clean! No border gore in sight.
Because you're used to it, Europe is a border Gore.
gotta love them client states
Karl Marx
Very useful.
I dislike micromanaging what I don't really need.
I loved how most of the client states were states napoleone also created! Really well done!
*watches video*
*inner German irrendentist kicks in*
Nuuuuuu you forgot the rest of Silesia, Carinola, New East and South Prussia.....
ikr he should've kept going in Poland and taken everything germany held before WWI
+Connor O'Neal
If we exclude Ratibor, wasn't these pre WW1 borders between Russia and Germany?
Objective Gaming
No, that's what it looks like. Germany owned all of Silesia, but I guess we can't blame you since EUIV's provinces don't match up with Germany's WWI borders.
Ryan Brown Ratibor included. Its actually mostly possible, just take Poznan and notec from Poland, have the teutons, connect in the north, own up to Memel (the second thin bridge thing), and extend down to Ratibor to be the most accurate.
@Jose Raul Miguens Cruz It's just a game yeez.
>not taking Luxemburg
>not interating entire Böhmen
>not taking Krain
>not keeping entire Silesia
>no Adriatic port
and you call this a Germany playthrough, hah, don't make me laugh
From all this thing only thing i would change is Adriatic port. My goal was to create pre WW1 Germany with Austria(modern Austria, not AH) + Swiss. I' made few changes like Ratibor and Krain, but technically they are all under my indirect control.
Lord Tyrion I mean, he had indirect control of the whole Adriatic and held domain over all of Italy. His control extended from the Baltic to the middle of the Mediterranean.
That's what BND did in this timeline :)
Lord Tyrion to be honest, this was a great playthrough.
Something that bugs me - why is Austrian culture in Krain and Gorz, when there should be Slovenian?
I'd love to see a Buddhist merchant republic next please!
I like you idea, it won't be next campaign but i will do it in next month or so.
Just need to decide with who to play:
1. Already existing nation
2. To make custom nations with my custom trade ideas
Objective Gaming I was thinking Ayutthaya because you can vassal spam and migrate to the rich Bengal node, but a custom nation would be cool! Thanks for the reply.
Maybe you should have played higher with development, especially in your capital, but still awesome job. For the next one, what about an Irish minor playing high with development and trade, as I suggested before?
I constantly developed provinces with lowest development cost, but i had to much provinces so at the end it isn't so obvious. Next one is outside of Europe, after that we are back in Europe with Global Colonial Irish Britain...
Objective Gaming Good. :D
germany is so fking low on development so you have done an amazing job there anyways
I've played for 600+ hours, and my development is nowhere as well spread as his was. I find myself forgetting to develop provinces and can at the end of 1700 find myself having "mountain" or "woods" provinces which I have like 7 development in, since I conquered it at an early point and more or less forgot about the province.
Well, the whole of Germany is actually around 1200 development at the start of the game, making it a region with more development than Ming. and lategame this number can be insane. But... Developing Germany... Fucking sucks... I played a Brandenburg -> Prussia -> Germany game not long ago... And my development was waaaaaay low in areas that I had controlled for 50+ years, since I never had the points to develop the provinces, since I was always expanding through war... So each province I conquered almost always was better than all my other provinces. End game, my weakest cultural group was Prussian and my strongest was Westphalian and Rhenish (which was the last germans I conquered in 1750) :P
Hey nice video I always enjoy war map videos like this! Keep up the good work
Thank you ;)
best time lapses iv seen great information
NICE, you almost got the flag of Italy with your Italian vassal states. Green - White - Red (Purple)
Didn't notice that ;) interesting coincidence ;)
I congratulate you on your astonishing success. This is the best thing I've seen this month
5:03 some things never change
outeast7 He got it right
Ah but you missed some Germans. Riga is Prussian.
Russia culture converted them, Riga is Novogradian culture at the end... There are two Austrian provinces that i gave to Yugoslavia, but technically they are under my control...
Objective Gaming Should have still counted as German province. Oh well, this is a great timelapse..
Objective Gaming
Bloody Russians, oh well, I didn't think the AI culture converted actually.
Riga now is mostly russian city))
Mr Vegan *The capital of Latvia that has a large Russian minority)))
Really well-made, love the extra ally/war graphic.
Thank you ;)
I'm not sure how you did it but you made Hesse into an absolute beast whiles still keeping the realism of not just consuming everything, I also love the map you show at the end showing all the vassals and previous flags of the empire
It's amazing how you completely fucked over the ottomans but they still had more points in the end :D
Yeah, i barely got any points until midgame they were already far away at that point, and i didn't focus on navy until late game i could get more points there...
+Objective Gaming Yeah you could but really dude that doesn't matter. The way you used your power to completely shift the european landscape is brilliant. I mean holy fuck you did all this being Hessen at the beginning. To you it may not be such a great deal, but I only played like 160 hours or sth and never got that big.
Oh wow, I've never seen your channel before, this seems p cool!
Italy protestant? WTF?
they were his vassals, thats why
Virtually every game one of the italian states goes protestant because they're rivaled by the pope.
Oh mamma mia pizza Lutherina
A protestant Italy is one of the most cursed thins I have ever seen in EU4
My goodness. Have you seen how fragmented France became? That would put Germany in an unchallengable position in Europe.
WW1 will be interesting to say the least.
Subscribed!
How did you immediately form revolutionary Germany?
It's a timelapse bug.
Its beautiful.
First EUIV game I’ve ever seen that didn’t end in a clusterfuck and huge blobs
nice job mate
Thanks ;)
Dosent post for 1 years: *P A N I C*
You're right, some things newer change
2:49 "Common wealth"
Now this is a save I would export to Vic 2
'constant coalition until the end of game'
I've never felt such pain when reading a sentence before
everybody is just playing eu4 but no one knows the joy of playing age of empire II from 1999
Best game
One thing you could if you play a nation of the HRE is to tell who is the emperor with the information of alliance vassals and wars because many times it will dictate how aggressive you are ( for instance if the emperor is a micro nation with not a lot of allies you could tend to be more aggressive because he doesnt frighten you also knowing the fact that the emperor is the one who a lot triggers the coalition :) )
5:00 Look at Italy :D
Very nice. Also you solved sectarian violence in the Western Balkans region by making everyone Protestant by force. Have a Nobel Peace Prize!
Subbed to this and would love to see the let's play. I still have no idea how u did this
Thank you ;)
I doubt that i will make let's plays, I would need much more time for that and currently I don't have it. Also for me let's plays are slow, boring and repetitive so it's hard to amuse people and keep their attention.
What do you use to create the thumbnail maps? I absolutely love them!
I make them i paint(dot)net
Dovska made greate tutorial about making this kind of maps:
czcams.com/video/0QFSpztmYcs/video.html
Batavian Republic, Belgium, Warszawa Republic, Czechoslovakia, Cisalpine Republic, Piedmontese Republic, Yugoslavia, Roman Republic... WTF?! How did you create?
All of them are client states, they are part of Art of War DLC, you chose name for them...
Do they cost diplo slots?
Thank you for answering :) for me like it :)
+Try.to.make.a.kripperino.acoount.but.no.one.likes.itirino Kripperino
Yeah i was 9/7 diplo relations at the end...
37 30k stacks excluding your vassal's troops? That's quite a lot of troops.
the good thing of this game is you can modify the bases of food, manufacture and soldiers production mthly.
that rock version of the theme is so badass
I haven't played much EU4, but I love watching Timelapses like these.
Can someone tell me what PLC means?
PLC = Poland-Lithuanian Commonwealth
The PLC is an acronym for the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
Zach Bell polish Lithuanian commonwealth
best empire in the World.
I played a lot of EU4 and i watch 2-3 youtuber play EU4 but in this video i saw for the very first time that Germany,Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia formed.
Germany is formable nation, you can form them if you are German culture and you own certain provinces. Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia are client states you can make them if you have 'Art of war' DLC. You pick name and flag for them and they become your vassal, you can't play with them ;)
So with Art of War you can have any type of client state you want? for exp. Gummybears of the Doom? :D
I normally play on extended timeline, my focus is never to blob or to do world conquest, it may be weird but I like to sorta play out some ideas on speculative history with what if scenarios, I also ain’t the best at the game I’ve only played a few Ironman games, one where my entire goal was to form the HRE as Austria and another where my goal was to get the French PU as England at that start during the surrender of main, the Austria game was much easier, but I found both to be more stressful when I couldn’t reload the game, I get really discouraged when playing Ironman cause whenever I make a mistake it could mean the end of that save, so kudos to those who are good at the game and can play Ironman, I’ll stick to the way I play which is more relaxing and enjoyable in my opinion
i hope you kept Hessen ideas as they're very nice.
You can't change them, Westphalia and Germany don't have unique ides tied to them. Most of other formable nations have unique ideas and you can chose to change to them...
How the heck did Aragon beat Castile? Did they get help from Naples? Also how did Portugal take Granada before Castille? I've seen odd things on Eu4 but that was great. Also for forming Germany I find Braunschweig a good pick too
I love tall empires - they always feel so realistic. And this one is great, especially with all those puppet states.
Thank you ;)
I like how it's slowly progressing to a map of WWII except for France
You made pretty realistic borders
4:48 look at italy's colors xD
Jesus Christ that army force limit
How did you creat such countries as Republic of Warsaw, Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia
client states
As Aleksandar said, they are client states, you can create them if you have Art of war DLC...
how do you make maps like the one at the beginning or the thumbnail?
I was distracted with the rise and fall of Aragon...
Despite conquering half of Iberia they were never powerful, they were in enormus debts, they bankrupted at the end and after that they colapsed.
How did you get Revolutionary Empire so early? I can usually do it only after 1750...
Insomma... si è realizzato il sogno della Lega nord. La parte nord Italia divisa dal resto XD
ELIA ARDUINI Ahahahah, anche tu qua?
Nice job on the 3k dev on Germany. Now only if they had a place in the sun.
Always wonder how such things are possible, since my Denmark/Scandinavia was not able to be the dominating nation. But was bankrupt then a lowtech-country and had in 400 years only 4 (!) Generals with two stars. But as long as little Hessen forms Germany and Cyprus controlls the whole mediterranian coastline everything is just fine *tries to smile but has a tear runing down his face*
Denmark should have easy job with finances, just assert control of Lubeck trade node, after that take Scotland for North sea and tunnel everything to Lubeck, as you colonise NA you will get more and more money from trade.
How do you organize your armies? I mean the ratio of the units.
Do you have mods for all these extra countries and flags because I have never seen Yugoslavia or the republic of Warsaw
He created client states and named them that.
nice video
Thank you
How hard is it to get into this game?? wish I had the patience since I love these type of games
You dont need a lot of time, maybe a week for basics. After that you learn from playing
What mod did you use for countries such as Belgium and Czechoslovakia to form? I used to use the extended timeline mods which would include those nations but they don't seem to support latest versions of the game.
There was no mod for Belgium or Czechoslovakia, they were client states.
Very nice! Ideas?
You can see ideas at 8:16
Props to that Irish state that lasted all the way up to 1814. You were so close.
locket this savoya, papa!
how do you make the landboarders on your Thumbnails?
11/10 Spelling and Grammar
I know this is old, and I mean oooold, but how do you get out of the Minor stage? Every time I am stumped at the start because all the other OPM's either have a ton of allies or allied to a major power, meanwhile I can't get a single ally lmao
It's hard in HRE, sometimes you need to wait for opportunity for 10-20 years, wait for them to be at war, wait for their allies to be at war. Can't remember for this game but sometimes you need to restart game and start over, it happens
nice music
Great video, but in my opinion, Belgium becoming a state didn't make sense to me
How did you rack up so much development without falling 100 years behind in tech?
How do you create vassals such as Yugoslavia, Belgium, Roman Republic..? I don't think they have cores in anywhere.
Those are client states, from the Art of War DLC. Apparently you can name them what you want.
@@gengarzilla1685 thx man
and then when the empire is good and prosperous France comes in and annex it, the end
oh man, I thought I had amazing army when I had 750k army as england, bloody england. (4k dev)
I actually recently formed Germany for the first time. Fun stuff. I only had 4 or 5 30 stacks, but I used Prussian Ideas + Quality + Modern Firearms techniques (I think that's it's name) for +50% infantry combat ability with like 17.5% discipline. Even if I somehow ended up 2 tech's behind I could win a battle despite being outnumbered.
I decided "If Germany was formed this early, would they have African ambitions?" and annexed Tunis. I gotta say, it was one of my most fun games as of late (that along with Hungary forming what I call the "Eastern European Empire"). Admittedly most of my recent games were failed attempts at forming Germany because I usually go Asian country/Colonial European so I knew fuck all about working in the HRE.
701st sub!
No complete Silesia, I cry.
wait what how tf did you get so much development
Funfact: Rhenish nations can form the most nations. these are:
Westphalia > Hannover > Prussia > Germany > Rome.
this is the end of history hegel wanted
While doing that awesome Germany run, did you get the Hessian Mercenaries achievement? Or did you already have that achievement.
Also, Russia seems to be a bit of a superpower in your game. In my games Russia always falls apart, so it was neat to see that happen, as well as some actual clean borders in euiv. My eyes are pleased with the lack of border gore.
I doubt it as it seems he didn't play on ironman
+John Meyer
This one was Ironman but achievements were disabled because Lucky nations was set to Random, prntscr.com/dp783y
Yeah I didn't seen strong Russia in a while, or they have bad start or i mess with them and they often don't form Russia
Russia and Great Britain are never as strong as they historically were due to how the game works :(
I love that map. Do you use a program for that or did you make it yourself?
I made it in paint dot net
if you are interested how its made Dovska made great tutorial about it:
czcams.com/video/0QFSpztmYcs/video.html
These videos are great. seeing countries blob up get old. is english your second language?
Thank you. Yeah English is not my native language ;)
wtf when i integrate a country i cant move the troops that were in that country
Aragon what happened? You were doing so well :(
Borders in Europe especially in east look really good
Which is the dlc that allows you to create satelites like ChecoSlovakia?
How in the world can you annex anything in the HRE, once i annexed 2 province and got the entire hre against me!
I quite like your thumbnail maps. Have you ever heard of mapping videos?
Thank you ;) Yeah I started making thumbnails with Dovska tutorial, but latter on I inserted some details to make my distinctive style.
+Aqua
I like you videos, very interesting. Just make Serbia bigger ;)
Kidding, keep up with good work ;)
Thanks!
I started as frankfurt and i finished with the whole german empire, france's territories and a part of italy ... Not bad as your play
You can form Jugoslavia? How nices is that!?
how did you create yougoslavia and greece and bulgaria this way ?
