Waiting on Another Crab's Treasure patch and SwitchUp's All Patched Up video to address performance improvements for Handheld mode. Once thats sorted I'm buying ASAP!

A huge patch for Another Crab’s Treasure” dropped yesterday guys . They have fixed a memory leak and the game is running and looking much better. Better textures and much more stable even on portable mode.
More patches are coming, IMO it’s pretty much playable now.
Another Crab's Treasure was the triumph of April with its reported 100,000 sales in its first weekend. What a result for an Indie, hopefully this converts to great after release patches and support as well as future projects from Aggro Crab! I'm patently waiting for the patches to improve handheld performance before purchase and hoping for a physical copy someday. Thank you SwitchUp for reporting its issues in the review, it helps. To be fair it Another Crabs Treasure seems to have ps5 performance issues and small stutters so it’s not just the switch version. Hopefully it will be patched on everything.
People are that desperate to have something to play on Switch these days.
They have released a patch, & it seems to have improved it a bit
After I break free from Zelda I’m definitely jumping to Eiyuden chronicles!

I am REALLY hoping the physical delay for Eiyuden on Switch is for them to get a good performance on the cartridge after some updates. But I am glad I got my digital Kickstarter copy for Steam to start playing right away on Steam Deck.
505 Games has said they are working on performance patch for Eiyuden Chronicles on Switch. Looking forward to your PatchedUp video on this.
Be great to see a video on the NSO games. I got the expansion recently and really enjoying going back to some great games. Mario and Luigi Saga on GBA is great!

In Balatro theres at least 5 different ways to change or negate the boss effect from vouchers, to jokers, to tags. And theres that joker that stops your run from ending. You may not be utilizing every tool at your disposal. Your example where you couldn't draw a pair, did you bother bringing a Strength tarot card into the boss fight to change the card numbers? If you hold left trigger during a blind, you can see a chart of what cards are left in your deck so you know which ones to discard and which ones to hold while chasing a pair.

I used the give Kril a gun and demolished 2 bosses in one hit. I thought it would only be small enemies that went down in one hit but it seems it’ll kill anything. It was fun but I took it back off to actually fight. Nice to have it if it gets too tough though.

I know loading sucks on eiyuden chronicle but you can pull up an info menu with square on ps5 idk what it is on switch though :P So that gets rid of a load of loading for menus i imagine, to see runes and equipment.
Was looking forward to Wrath: Aeon for years now! It was supposed to release a longtime ago and kept getting delayed. Sad to hear your review!
I took the risk on ArcRunner - It has potential if they add more music tracks and Gyro controls, it looks slick but its crazy hard to aim your attacks -
I got Another Crab's Treasure before the review was up to get the discount. Got to just the first boss fight for your first shell and said nope since I know a patch is coming before I play it anymore. Fighting just the basic enemies without the shell is fine but once you get to need good timing with the shell and it doesn't feel right it really brings it down. That's docked as well. I don't know if it's the framerate or if there is input delay but it really feels bad compared to any recent soulslike I have played. Can't wait for a patch though everything else about the game besides performance is great.
I’m excited to play Hundred Heroes even though I dislike random encounters. Waiting for switch physical. I just recently finished Eiyuden chronicles rising.
I believe this would have been the perfect time for Mina The Hollower release. It would secure top spot for sure. 🐁
Unity works very well on Switch, that's a common misconception. It's a matter of how well the game is coded. Even Nintendo uses Unity for many of their games. Also you can disable the save token system.
Hmmm you could be right, anecdotally though Unity seems to perform poorly A LOT on Switch. Mark
@@SwitchUpYt The problem is, that unity in its free version requires you to put its logo in the intro of the game, but the paid Version doesn't. So there are a dime a dozen of horribly optimized, cheap games with the unity logo in front of it. And all the great ones you don't notice to be made with unity.
Planet of Lana the winner for me this month. Haven't felt so relaxed playing a game in years.

Lana looks like it could be a good Oddworld type game. That I can happily get on board with as a long term (first ever PS1 game) Abe fan.
I remember seeing gylt awhile back and was shocked it was only for stadia,thanks for putting it on here since i tried to find the game but forgot the name.also will gylt get an American release? Probably not
Picked up Wrath of the Muntants for $20 bucks. You can definitely tell this was an arcade game that was brought over to the Switch. Nothing special, feels very basic and bare, but my little daughter who is 5 is loving it. I personally wouldn’t pick it up for $30. $10-15? Perhaps this is the better price range for the title.

Would you pick Another Crab's Treasure over Grounded? I can't decide which one to choose. Looking for at good open world game to spend lots of hours playing. I love exploring, crafting and doing "missions" /objectives.
Gylt was nice. I think if it was too much longer it would have been too boring. But I managed to complete it on my short time with Stadia. It's nice to see it on other platforms.
Is it fixed camera and if not can you invert both x and y? 🙂

I'm playing it and it's better than it was to begin with, so it's getting there. Those load times though, go make a cup of tea when you go to a rune shop.

I wouldnt say I love random battles but grew up with them and it's alright.. I do find myself in the OG FF7 pausing the random battles if i have to go back cause i think i missed something... yeah random battles are kinda rough LOL
Has the performance on Switch been fixed for Eiyuden?
I made it about 2 hours into another crabs treasure before stopping and deciding to wait for a patch to continue. Just far too many performance issues for me. Hopefully the patch comes soon. The issues here seem worse to me than what we had with Pennys big breakaway.

Another Crab's Treasure is awesome, but it's lacking on the performance front on all platforms... I think it dips into 0.5 frames per second when I enter a new area on PS5
can you guys do a review of library of ruina? its a new game on the switch and it seems very interesting. nintendo life did a bad review where they did not get past the tutorial and reviewed the game negatively. I am curious of what you guys think of it

I bought Teenage mutant ninja turtles and paid 18 bucks for it. It's exactly what it's described, an arcade game. Personally it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Is it shredder's revenge, no but overall it's a fun beat'em up game. The only downside is there's no online play.
Eiyuden Chronicles looks like it could be great once they patch it up
And fix the localization
I always wonder how you guys calculate your scores... Been bugging me for as long as I've followed the channel 😅
Watch some of their early videos. They break the game into 5 categories, each category gets a score between 0 & 20. Then you add up the categories and presto the switch up score. I believe it works somthing like that.
@@Bobby-Dingers I know the categories and have watched plenty of their vids, but it eludes me how some categories are awarded pretty high scores, but the end result is in the 60's % 🤔
@@theMeshtarIt’s really designed to allow you to hear the different elements and then choose what’s important to you. For example on game scores 18 for gameplay so is great but is broken in performance so you know when they fix it it’s worth buying. We’ve reviewed so so so many games now and 99% of the time it’s just us doing that. Most review channels use a bunch of writers with random opinions I think with us you kind of get to know how and why we score and our system has worked well for us. A long answer to a short question that probably doesn’t really help haha 😜 - Mark
The calculation itself has gotten easier as you review more games, all our scores assist each other. As with all systems it’s subjective though so we do try and give extra info so you can say “actually I like those graphics I’d give that section 17/20” for example. Mark

It’s tough to see eiyuden in a list on a lower tier than a game you guys had very little to say good about (the rogue lite shooter whatever that was). I am REALLY hoping they fix the performance issues.
To be fair, they were tied but I know what you mean. Hopefully Eiyuden gets fixed up.

How long is Eiuyden Chronicles to experience it as a graphics and game expert, The new turtles sucks because it's done by a company that wants drama. Expeditions: a mud-runner, Biomutant, Ace Combat 7 are on my list A.T.M. If Switch 2 is released I hope they have settings for graphics (more like on a computer) on their machine or it might be something that spontaneously combusts like Sony, Incomplete editions in a library, and so forth.
In general, Unity is garbage on Switch, except in cases where the developers know what they're doing. For example, Moon Studios and both Ori games. It's crap for the random indie developers who download it and make stuff using out-of-the-box code.
Speaking about TMNT: Wrath of the Mutants, a patch dropped the other day for the game. I can't find any info about what exactly the patch did though.
A card game was number 1....think I may have bought my last switch game 😂 although with the incoming gov and economy that's probably a good thing!

I just can't see how Balatro can be good? I watch Aliensrock play other games, but I have no interest in watching him play Balatro. I love card game Bridge and can sucked into playing hand after hand at BridgeBase Online.
Balatro is more a game you should play yourself to really know how fun it can be, but it really depends on the person if you don't enjoy rogue likes or card games it might not be for you, but it's too simplistic yet too complicated for CZcams I feel, especially if you have never played it, it's best to experience it with these type of games

Balatro just seems like one of those over hyped gamed that some dev paying reviewers off. Not saying that is what is occurring just not seeing it for myself, like other over hyped games of the past.
