The thing to remember, Vegeta was stronger than Goku on earth, it was the Kaioken that allowed Goku to match him, so upon the end of the battle and each of their Zenkai's, up until Goku finished his training in the gravity ship, Vegeta was still stronger. Vegeta only got Zenkais, he didn't train. Goku trained and received multiple Zenkai's on the way to Namek.

unpopular opinion here: the namek saga is where db started going crap with this zenkai boost thing. Until this DB was about martial arts, techniques and training, not this cheap plot black magic. DB was always a light-hearted anime, but it was somewhat consistent until zenkai boost appeared with giving first small increases in power, then in a short amount of time became some exponential multiplier not to mention increasing somewhy the speed as well? And lastly based on the amount of zenkai boost Goku got from the base DB series, he should have wiped the floor with raditz and the saiyans (assuming they never got one in their lives which is hard to believe with a proud warrior race with insane healing facilities - however if they got boosts Vegeta was underpowered when they met.) Vegeta, who not long ago was not match for transformed Zarbon went in little time to match frieza's first and second form, maybe even third, because for example he let krillin shoot him? Please
Lol true, but the idea isn’t that bad, just the execution. The reason being was db never intended on Zenkai until around Z started, I think u know that too. Humans irl got Zenkai, just very tiny increases in our muscles fibers. I like how saiyans took it to a strong level, but the plot was very inconsistent. But to be fair, there’s a billion inconsistencies in dbz.
@@MoPiccolo The saiyan saga was fairly consistent. The only cheapshot was kaio ken, but it was only a temporary boost and drained even goku's outstanding stamina fast. And then namek saga started all the bs, piccolo for example needed to unite with a dying, at-that-point-irrelevant character to... suddenly match frieza at all? I mean goku vs frieza lasted longer than the time for a couple of couple thousand powerlevel guys to catch up to frieza... and then they almost dropped zenkai boost in the next sagas :D Honestly feels like majority of the billion inconsistencies happen in namek saga. Which funnily is usually people's favourite saga because of the ssj transformation
@HuNgerforrock While you are correct about the inconsistencies, the reason Frieza Saga is my favourite is because of Vegeta's character development, the villains are entertaining, the fights are great, Frieza is a very convincing final boss, Gohan & Krillin manage to survive while out of their depth and the great feeling you got every time Goku came to save the day.
@@antology7 fair enough, though I still believe it would have been more perfect if Vegeta got only zenkai boost after earth to beat dodoria and zarbon, then another after transformed zarbon. he would still no match against frieza. Goku got one boost after the shenanigans with captain ginyu to somewhat match base frieza with kaio ken, frieza would have only 1 transformation when they though finally he would be defeated, and then as SSJ goku saves the day
@@HuNgerforrock I don't know if it would ever happen but I wish they would go back in time rather then forward for a series and focus on character development and do a what if planet Vegeta was never destroyed I think everyone would love it even though it obviously changes things in the main series but if you throw a what if in the title it works or make it an alterative timeline. I think its the most unexplored thing of the past of DB that they could do you could even have Frieza taken out somehow without them having to get stronger to see how they would rule if they were the strongest around. Alot of different interesting direction's you could go with revising the past rather then the future and keeping planet vegeta and expanding the saiyans.
