The entire mini arc with Videl and Gohan during the Buu saga was honestly my favorite part of the entire series. Events and people years and years beforehand leading to the meeting of this otherwise bizarre pairing, evolving around each other over the saga, with them going from being on very shaky terms to complete and total trust and closeness is just such a wonderfully fascinating and heartwarming thing.
Man, I still love the little arc of Gohan in highschool. The Great Saiyaman stuff, the romance with Videl, the brothers hanging out, the Briefs family dynamics...
I just realized that Videl must've really felt bad by this. In DBZ, she's always shown to be this tough girl with sass but here you see her vulnerable because of those around her. You got Gohan who is an expert martial artist and very good with ki control and you have his little brother who is quite younger than them and is learning quickly as they go while she's left in the dust trying her best to compete
who else tried this for ages as a kid just to do this and after hours you find out "Yeah that's not gonna work"?
Young Videl is like a mix of Chi Chi and Bulma. She’s rich and knows martial arts. She’s also feisty AF.
