Then he teleports to him in front of them like he's not aware that's not normal. The whole time I'm wondering why she has to push him to pretend to be normal as if what's normal to him wouldn't look better. He saves the universe from time to time, sometimes on demand of a G-d. Why wouldn't the school admins favor his son who also would be better mannered than any other student?

I don’t think Goku is a bad father. He’s just an unconventional one who had to get his child through tough times. This scene shows that Goku was never against Gohan studying. It’s just that they’ve been so busy dealing with major foes that Goku needs Gohan to Constantly learn to defend himself.
And people also always forget with the Saiyan saga it was Piccolo who kidnapped Gohan to train him so of course he couldn't study then. Seriously, I love Piccolo. One of my favorite characters. But people seriously keep forgetting about that whole kidnapping a child thing.

Kakarot/Goku and his son, Gohan on Saiyan mode, the two are eating when suddenly, Gohan breaks the glasses filled with juice and then followed his father break the glasses filled with juice, chichi gets very aggressive on both of them breaking the dishes and the furniture..
He knows she's right because Gohan wanted to be a scholar when he was younger (it said in a data book it was one of his personal goals, not just Chichi's whim) and this is one of the few times where Gohan chose not to help himself with that goal and while Goku did get wrapped up in his son's potential, he never downplayed or rejected Gohan's aspirations for stuff outside of fighting.
You know people say Goku's a bad dad but this is a perfect example of him actually caring about Gohan's education which is something a good father would do in real life instead of wanting his son to be like him
I wouldn't say Goku's an bad father, just a stereotypical Asian one. He has high expectations for Gohan to succeed and is trying to push him forward. Goku is also going through an existential crisis where he believes his presence is doing more harm than good.

Cuz 1, I've been there and it sucks, and 2, it costs way more to keep buying disposable dishes and throwing them away, than it does to buy regular dishes and wash them. So to anyone who's poor: Keep that under consideration. Sometimes they'll sell glass or ceramic plates at Walmart for 50 cents to $2 each, and they can last decades if you take care of them. Can get a 5 pack of plastic bowls for a dollar, buck-fifty (as long as you're not using them in the microwave). The only sort of expensive thing is silverware, but once again, they can last forever. Look for the little bundles of them (like several spoons or forks tied together with a UPC label) or sold individually (just a spoon or fork wihth a UPC sticker), sold sometimes in a little container-shelf in the kithen section, instead of those big box sets; they tend to be way cheaper most of the time. Reach on in, grab just what you need, wash it when you get home, and they'll be your eating buddies for life. Just that, being of lower quality with more iron in the steel mix, they might rust if you leave them festering in water for too many days (so it's recommended to wash them promptly, or load them into the dishwasher right away). But even if THAT happens, get a Brillo scrubber pad, wet it (no need for soap, they already have a special cleaner for metal woven into them), wear thick rubber kitchen gloves or use a washcloth to protect your hands, and you can scrub that stuff off. Rescued all kinds of my metal kitchenware with those things, like rusty spoons, and especially burnt pans. (That's what they're pretty much made for, not for routine dish washing since they're so abrasive and scratchy. But boy do they clean off rust, corrosion, and baked-on grease very well!) They might be reusable several times, if you let them dry thoroughly and not sit in water too long. I like to think goku wanted gohan to study cause after the fighting was done, he probably wanted his son to follow his dreams of being a scholar. You can debate all you want about how Goku is a terrible father or husband or how Chi Chi is an obsessed, control freak who always rages at her family, but in the end they're still together in what seems to be a fairly happy household. Chi Chi yells and rages all the time at her husband and sons, but not once has she ever threatened to abandon them in any way. She performs her duties as a mother and wife with as much devotion as you can possibly expect from anyone. And truth be told, Goku, Gohan and Goten deserve most of the scoldings they get. Goku may be clueless and painfully naïve, but he obviously cares a lot about both his sons and his wife. He isn't human after all. He has Saiyan blood and Saiyans only dream of fighting and getting stronger. He's doing his best to mix the habits of Earth with the natural instincts of a Saiyan. When push comes to shove, he loves Chi Chi. He never cheats on her and his innocent, naïve nature prevents him from lying to her. It's not a perfect marriage, but then agains, I doubt a perfect marriage even exists.
So... She acted like Goku was getting a worse punishment, but she legit just sent him to go hang out with his friends on a fishing trip. Then said Gohan was getting off light... And he had to cleanup that bigass mess they made then forced to study nonsense? Yeesh.
To be fair, this means the normally active Goku is gonna be sitting around while talking to Krillin. With great strength and speed, cleaning up a mess is quick and easy. And Gohan wants to be a scholar so he’d need to catch up on his studies. So in a way, Gohan did get off easy. A quick clean up vs sitting around for who knows how long?

He knows she's right because Gohan wanted to be a scholar when he was younger (it said in a data book it was one of his personal goals, not just Chichi's whim) and this is one of the few times where Gohan chose not to help himself with that goal and while Goku did get wrapped up in his son's potential, he never downplayed or rejected Gohan's aspirations for stuff outside of fighting.

I wouldn't say Goku's an bad father, just a stereotypical Asian one. He has high expectations for Gohan to succeed and is trying to push him forward. Goku is also going through an existential crisis where he believes his presence is doing more harm than good.

Hopefully you mean "poor" as in like, pitiful, and not lacking money. Cuz 1, I've been there and it sucks, and 2, it costs way more to keep buying disposable dishes and throwing them away, than it does to buy regular dishes and wash them.
So to anyone who's poor: Keep that under consideration. Sometimes they'll sell glass or ceramic plates at Walmart for 50 cents to $2 each, and they can last decades if you take care of them. Can get a 5 pack of plastic bowls for a dollar, buck-fifty (as long as you're not using them in the microwave). The only sort of expensive thing is silverware, but once again, they can last forever. Look for the little bundles of them (like several spoons or forks tied together with a UPC label) or sold individually (just a spoon or fork wihth a UPC sticker), sold sometimes in a little container-shelf in the kithen section, instead of those big box sets; they tend to be way cheaper most of the time. Reach on in, grab just what you need, wash it when you get home, and they'll be your eating buddies for life.
Just that, being of lower quality with more iron in the steel mix, they might rust if you leave them festering in water for too many days (so it's recommended to wash them promptly, or load them into the dishwasher right away). But even if THAT happens, get a Brillo scrubber pad, wet it (no need for soap, they already have a special cleaner for metal woven into them), wear thick rubber kitchen gloves or use a washcloth to protect your hands, and you can scrub that stuff off. Rescued all kinds of my metal kitchenware with those things, like rusty spoons, and especially burnt pans. (That's what they're pretty much made for, not for routine dish washing since they're so abrasive and scratchy. But boy do they clean off rust, corrosion, and baked-on grease very well!) They might be reusable several times, if you let them dry thoroughly and not sit in water too long. Even if they rust a bit after a few months or years, they can still do their job to an extent, though when in doubt just grab a new one. But hopefully you won't need them often.
A one-time investment of a little more money can end up saving you a lot more in the long run. 😉

You can debate all you want about how Goku is a terrible father or husband or how Chi Chi is an obsessed, control freak who always rages at her family, but in the end they're still together in what seems to be a fairly happy household.
Chi Chi yells and rages all the time at her husband and sons, but not once has she ever threatened to abandon them in any way. She performs her duties as a mother and wife with as much devotion as you can possibly expect from anyone. And truth be told, Goku, Gohan and Goten deserve most of the scoldings they get.
Goku may be clueless and painfully naïve, but he obviously cares a lot about both his sons and his wife. He isn't human after all. He has Saiyan blood and Saiyans only dream of fighting and getting stronger. He's doing his best to mix the habits of Earth with the natural instincts of a Saiyan. When push comes to shove, he loves Chi Chi. He never cheats on her and his innocent, naïve nature prevents him from lying to her. It's not a perfect marriage, but then agains, I doubt a perfect marriage even exists.

To be fair, this means the normally active Goku is gonna be sitting around while talking to Krillin. With great strength and speed, cleaning up a mess is quick and easy. And Gohan wants to be a scholar so he’d need to catch up on his studies.
