Yeah... I love Chi-Chi but sometimes she can be irrational. I do agree! Goku and Chi-Chi have a bond. A strong one. They have a very deep love for one another and their kids. They both want what’s best for them, they just don’t always agree on what that is. That’s fine. That’s normal. They’ll occasionally argue and bicker too. Also normal. But they do always come to a compromise in the end, and that’s how normal relationships work. Is it exaggerated for the sake of comedy? Oh heck yes, absolutely so. But there’s nothing abusive or unhealthy about it. They’re not beating each other. They’re not making each other worse for being together. Their children are happy and healthy, and they both have learned to understand one another’s quirks and adapted accordingly. That’s a pretty healthy relationship, barring the comedic exaggeration. Way too many people seem to think a healthy relationship means no unpleasantness or arguing at all. This is not the case.

I don’t agree with the title. Chi-Chi’s angry moments are honestly moments that displays her passionate side to her that makes Goku so in love with her. She’s a strong woman. More than that, Goku is attracted to that feisty nature! Fears and respects his woman dearly. Her anger mostly comes from a good place, and with good reason. Can it be a bit too much? Yeah, but her husband and sons get where she’s coming from.

I do agree! Goku and Chi-Chi have a bond. A strong one. They have a very deep love for one another and their kids. They both want what’s best for them, they just don’t always agree on what that is. That’s fine. That’s normal. They’ll occasionally argue and bicker too. Also normal. But they do always come to a compromise in the end, and that’s how normal relationships work.
Is it exaggerated for the sake of comedy? Oh heck yes, absolutely so. But there’s nothing abusive or unhealthy about it. They’re not beating each other. They’re not making each other worse for being together. Their children are happy and healthy, and they both have learned to understand one another’s quirks and adapted accordingly.
That’s a pretty healthy relationship, barring the comedic exaggeration. Way too many people seem to think a healthy relationship means no unpleasantness or arguing at all. This is not the case.

She is aware that the world may get destroyed, but she'd rather it not be Gohan to bear the brunt of it all. Be aware of what Gohan has gone through... he was kidnapped by Raditz, then he was kidnapped by Goku's archrival at that time (Piccolo) who put Gohan through inhumane conditions in the wild, yes he is a sayian and he should be expected to survive, but he was not accustomed. Then he went of to Namek, where he was almost caught in the self destruction of the entire planet as well as being brutalised by Reccoome and Frieza. Through all these events, it is likely that a toll has been taken on Chi Chi's mental state, and she wishes to hold what's dear to her the most, yes - this is selfish, but with a deteriorated mindset, it is understandable.

The two possible instances I narrow this down to is Chi Chi marrying Goku - which was because of a promise Goku made (yes this is arguably completely unrealistic I shall agree, though I will defend the point slightly) or Videl marrying Gohan, in which case it was about Videl's money and not how she looked - (although Krillin comments on Videl being good looking on numerous occasions) which happens frequently in real life.
Now I cannot say I can defend Chi Chi marrying Goku because of a promise he made as a child because it should be impossible, but I'll try - Chi Chi was a princess, throughout her life she had been pampered by the ox king, eventually she would be lead to the belief that everything in her life would turn out the way she wanted, and as a young child, she wanted Goku, hence she was blind and chose to seek no other alternative.

I don’t agree with the title. Chi-Chi’s angry moments are honestly moments that displays her passionate side to her that makes Goku so in love with her. She’s a strong woman. More than that, Goku is attracted to that feisty nature! Fears and respects his woman dearly.
