    These are some very useful tips, especially the safety brace you mentioned 6:40. At one point I had a lot of issues with failures anytime I used a more viscous resin and printed larger models, but with the combination of your Resin 3D Printing guide and this video, I've learned so much! I now understand why things fail and seldom experience random failures. I just wanted to say thanks, your tips have allowed me to really appreciate 3d Printing with resin.

    Pro v, is very reasonably priced, I would recommend it to anyone who prints frequently

    Can you tell what is the "new" puurpose" of the new calibration part updated on cults and visible at the beginning of this video ? I printeed the Tesseract_J3D.stl file but what is new to check versus the previous one ?
    Thanks

      I'll make a new video for version 2.0.
      Overall the part functions the same. If the box is fit, your dimensionally accurate. The pillars also function the same once your dimensionally accurate. Look at them and don't use any support tips that are next to a failure.
      So if 0.1mm failed and 0.12 mm was successful, I wouldn't make a support tip any smaller than 0.14mm.
      There are some other features on the raft, but they are hidden features. Or if you wanted to take digital calipers and measure the spacings you can. But these are for different type of calibration that I don't completely agree with. However, a few users wanted those features so the part could be used in that manner.

    I think your bitrate might be too low on whatever you are using to record, even tho I'm on 1080 I'm getting blocking and smearing in your videos.
    Very informative tho

    • @J3DTech
      @J3DTech  Před rokem

      The software I was using only let me do 1080p. I've moved to a new software that will export much higher. However when I play the video I don't get blocked or smeared. Did you try forcing 1080p?

    • @wack1305
      @wack1305 Před rokem +1

      @@J3DTech bitrate is separate from resolution. If you are using OBS you can find the setting under Output > Recording Quality
      Bitrate is basically how much or how little compression your final recording will have. A higher bitrate will use more data and therefore have lower compression; lower bitrate leads to higher compression which causes the blocking

      @wack1305 Před rokem +1

      @@J3DTech it’s possible it might be on CZcams’s side. Since the video is contains a lot of solid grey colors that make the compression very visible I might not have noticed this in other videos

    • @J3DTech

      @@wack1305 I was using ClipChamp free, but that did not give me any control. I'm moving over to Camtasia, which will give me a lot better quality.

    • @wack1305
      @wack1305 Před rokem +1

      @@J3DTech I’d recommend OBS, it’s free and open source. It’s might be a little harder to get setup, but once you do you’ll have complete control
