    Thanks for making that more clear. Suggestion, make a tutorial to similarly clarify the speed setting for the percentage or degree of overhang. Those really confuse me

    Many thanks Chris, another great tutorial. I was struggling with this just a couple of days ago. You made much more sense than the Bambu wiki. Keep up the good work.

      Awesome I’m glad I could help. I really struggled with this for a while. Glad I could clear up some confusion on the topic

    Thank you, I just got a new Bambu printer, this is saving me some time and pooop shoot diaper cleanup. I really appreciate your channel and what you are doing.😊

    Nice information. Appreciate the discussion. So, I don't have to know what my overhangs are in my prints, just need to know what angle needs supports. So, should I always enable supports and put in a good threshold angle based on tests I have run?

    Nice and informative. About the angle thing being backwards, for me that is normal. I've studied physics and math and every angle is measured from the ground, as a reference. So the Cura thing is backwards.

    Arg! I been looking at the angle backwards too! No wonder why it was never working right for me. LOL Thank you for clarifying!

      I want to know how to ADD supports, new to Bambu software. Not new to 3D printing…

    Any chance you can make up the same cheat sheet for all Bambu nozzle sizes (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8)? Great video and very helpful.

    How about how to adjust settings to get parts to break away easier. What settings, patterns, number of interface layers do what.

    The problem with going from the vertical to calculate angle is that a model may not always have a vertical surface, so it makes more sense to go from the horizontal build plate.

  • @michaelbraaten
    @michaelbraaten Před 5 měsíci +2

    The reason it is measured from the bed is because that is how it would be done in a math class. 0° is horizontal, not vertical. Not only does it make sense, it’s how we teach people to do it lol. That said, I understand why overhang angle makes sense too.

    Wouldn't that angle change based on orientation on the build plate because of the cooling fan location.

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  Před 5 měsíci

      That’s an interesting point Denny I haven’t experienced it to be different cause it’s the angle it can print before failure so the orientation might give different angles but it wouldn’t effect what angle prints well. Least that’s my theory. Might be worth testing.

      I hear you can use petg supports. Haven't tried it yet but seems cool also I would just use the interface layer but like I said haven't tried it
