I never met a person who is so motivational as you regarding learning Spanish language (and I’m sure that your advice applies to learning any other idioma).
Exposure every day as often as possible is the key to success. One must REALLY want to learn to become bilingual in any language. I have 12 friends in South America and they only speak Spanish language. I plan to visit them in the future. So many times every day we communicate in their native language.
First we communicated in text messages (I used Google translate a lot back then). But I learned to read español language very fast. As time passed we communicated using audio messages on WhatsApp. As time passed I understood their audio messages and I send them audio messages in Spanish language.
I’m not 100 percent fluent in Spanish language but I can chat with my friends in Spanish language very well.
Learning a new language is a process that takes many years. But as time passes language learning becomes a natural process.
    Be patient.
Find native speaking friends even if they don’t speak your language.
Continuous exposure is what teaches us a different language.
It is a fulfilling journey that never ends.

No person can tell you how long it takes to become fluent...For one you have to have a passion for the language to learn the language...As this young man said, it is a journey...I will say to you it is a long continuas journey...From learning vowel/vowel consonant combinations, to verbs and their meanings, tenses, commands, to sentence structure, to subjunctive, imp subjunctive etc, etc,etc the list goes on.
As far as I am concerned it is best to take some non credit classes to hold you accountable and for the teacher to show you your mistakes...Not many can self motivate...It would be like the gym, I will study tomorrow but tomorrow never comes...When you get frustrated there is nothing holding you accountable for putting the book down and not getting back to it.

I want to say that you have family tree that stems back to Panama. Panama has a Spanish origin, so what I’m saying is you are more then African American you have some parts of you that is Hispanic. I love your videos and keep up your Spanish....

I mean you are right but by that logic majority of African Americans are mixed considering most of us are atleast 10 to 15 percent European because of slavery. But in the grand scheme of things we are just considered black because whiteness is built on exclusivity in the U.S and to be fair most of south America as well. So him identifying as Afro American isnt necessarily him denying white/latin ancestry you know? I am not trying to argue or come off aggressive just giving my take as a black u.s American. And I'm not saying you are saying this, but I dont find anything wrong with identifying with your blackness exclusively/majority of the time especially when you have to move through this world as a black presenting person. At times when I've met black people who were Latin claim being mixed it was usually in means to seperate themselves from blackness, though blacks here in the states would appear similarly and maybe even have the same mix of European blood. That being said I've also met mixed blacks who didnt do that so I know its complex
