I do want to mention when you mentioned you shouldn't throw exodia into a random deck and expect to draw into it. Well a few years ago online, I was down to about 100 LP 4 pieces of exodia in random deck with random cards. I was going against Blackwings. Goes to my turn and I drew the last piece of exodia and won. Now granted that won't happen often, but it is an interesting surprise win condition as your opponent won't expect it. I'm not saying you should run exodia or shouldn't run exodia in a random deck. Just that sometimes you can pull it off.
However, 1 rule I always use when I make a deck is, "Do I have enough recovery options?" Say I'm playing Legendary Six Samurai and my build is a build that was used when Gateway was at 3 or even 1. So a FTK variant. Considering 1 well placed Raigeki/Mirror Force can destroy that build the deck will not be able to perform to the best of it's ability after you used a lot of resources for your field. So then I would add the Double-Edge Sword Technique. If that isn't enough, I would add Soul Charge. If still having problems, I would try to find room for 2 call of the haunted. Of course decks these days can easily replace their resources but it is still something to make your deck ready for.
Rom Kin the only real issue with random exodias is consistency. In the long run you're way more likely to draw four exodia pieces and then have the last one sit on the bottom of your deck not doing anything while 4 cards in your hand are being wasted by the pieces than you are to randomly draw all 5 pieces without huge draw power

This is not all that basic... Never having built a yugioh deck, I'm totally missing all the basic information.
Otherwise, seems good, but just not the basic stuff I expected with the title.

I'm trying to make a monarch control deck that alsow lets me proparly sumon sky palace Babylon to take advantage of its effects but i also want to incorporate atmosphere to neutralize annoying effect monsters like 5headed dragon and the one synchro dragon that just keep powering up and other cards like that any advise
Hi! I am currently using a Dark Turbo deck that utilizes Dragon and warriors as its main archetypes. Its main objective is to special summon powerful synchro monsters and swing for game. It utilizes Destiny Hero-Malicious, Destiny Hero-Diamond Dude, Dark Armed Dragon, Dark Grepher, Armageddon Knight and Plaguespreader Zombie. Most of its archetypes are Dragon and Warriors. Do you think by adding another archetype will affect the deck's play style?
i dont think so but a Destiny Hero i find to work great especially in multiples is defender. i have drained an opponents deck because i couldent draw any fusion cards as my deck at the time was fusion based.

i try ti make my blue eyes deck pendulum summon and is four too much or i only need two because sometime i draw blue eyes for a dead draw so i can pendulum summon it wit witch and white flower and hunter dragon and black sun so which is better
Sadly, the card shop near my home closed, and the next nearest is kind of out of the way. So I have nobody to play.
Because of the moment I stopped, I have 1 Pendelum monster and no Link monsters.

Yes ur right but the game is much merely a luck.. If u draw the right cards at the right time then u can win, but if not u lose.. There's also a scenario that no matter how good ur hand cards are, but if ur opponent uses an annoying card against u, still ull b in tight situation and might lose.. Its all about timing and luck.. No matter how good the deck is, theres no certainty of winning or losing the duel..
