Thank you for this very helpful video on selecting colors. That is one of the things that I have never been able to do, and that has kept me from being able to color for years. My older comment from 4 years ago right below was never answered, so I just wanted to be sure it's question about whether or not I understood what you were showing us was correct. Thank you so much!
Just discovered you and watched this one and the next one, which goes with it. Love this cheat sheet idea!!!! Thanks from a new subscriber!
Great info, thanks for sharing! ♥️
Thanks this was perfect for what I've been looking for.
Just what I needed. I just started coloring and needed a hack for creating pages that look amazing ! I am finding that my 138 pencil set doesn't contain every color. I might add Crayola too!
Great video. I am just starting coloring for adults, and I started doing that ! It's great to find colors that match. Thank you for your advice.
Love your videos! Learning a ton from you :) Thanks for sharing your time and talents.
That was great! I already use Pinterest for color palettes, but the idea of a cheat sheet for those palettes is genius! I'm definitely going to start doing that. Thanks so much for sharing. I was wondering if you would share coloring a page using one of those palettes. I would love to see you pick a palette, your pencils and creating the cheat sheet, the final pencils selection and then the actual coloring.
Thank You; great idea. I will be using your palette color cheat sheet. Love it! I am enjoying your expertise!
That Pinterest tip is golden! Thank you!
What a brilliant idea.
Thank you so much! I've been frustrated with choosing colors and related colors. This was exactly what I needed.
Thank you!! You are always so informative. I’m just starting out and you seem to have every answer to my questions. I’m leery of pallets yet so this came in handy!! Off to Pinterest to find some and to follow you there!!!

Thank you for the tips! Pinterest ideas are great!
Thank you, this was a really informative video. I have used color pallets before but not quite in the same way. Your way looks less limiting and more enjoyable.
Super idea to use Pintrest for ideas. I have done this as well. But you took it to the next step with swatching color selections in a range. This is clever and a very helpful tip.
Loved this tutorial! So glad to find you out there! Color palettes are really hard for me!
Enjoyed the video. That was a really good tip. Thank you!
This was a huge help! Thank you!
Fantastic video; you are always so great in teaching us; thank you so much🌹🤗👍🏻
What a great idea! I've been keeping a "log" of the colors I've been using on each page since Dec/Jan but I love the idea of a color swatch!

This video is a huge help to me. Trying to figure out what color palette to use is one of my biggest challenges. I've been collecting color palettes on Pinterest lately but hadn't really started working with any of them. I wasn't really sure where to begin. I like the way you presented the information on your video -- very informative!
Thanks so much!! Glad you found it helpful! I just uploaded a video today you might like, showing you a coloring page with utilizing the cheat sheet. Check it out!

Hello 👋 thanks you 😁 very much... ☺ for your video, it help me a lot in coloring... But I didn't know that we could extended the palette color.. I'm using often Pinterest but only the 4, 5 or 6 colours from color palette, but now I know... Thank you 😁 😘, and I see that it's interesting to have others brand of pencils... Good continuation... ☺
I’m new to your channel and love it
awesome video.
Great video! 👏 Another great tool for making the color palette cheat sheet is an app called Arty! It will actually tell you what pencil from the Prismacolor, Polychromos, & Luminance ranges is closest to a color. It has changed my coloring game completely, and I highly recommend it!
Wow!!! I️ have never heard of that!!?? Will definitely check that out, thanks for the tip!!!
Thank you so much for this!!!
Another cool app is Jazza’s Arty Challenge. It picks random color palettes in Prismacolors and polychromos. I believe it also does a set of markers.
You're welcome!! 😃 & Thank you Shannon for your tip, I have to go check out that app right now!
The best ever site for FREE color palettes, there are more than 4000 to choose from!
I really enjoyed this at Touriel thanks for uploading it
New sub. Great video.
Thanks for the video. I recently discovered an iPhone App called Arty to which you can upload a photo and then use their color picker to find the matches to Polychromos, Prismacolor and Luminance pencils. Its very useful for finding pencils that match specific colors.
💕
Recent subscriber here. This is a cool trick and something I think I would enjoy doing. I'm new to coloring so I'm just learning the tricks but I've enjoyed the videos of yours that I've seen so far. I'm looking forward to implementing some of your tips.
I have been doing this for a very long time. I actually print out the pages put them in sheet protectors and label the colours......
Hi!
I'm an artist. I'm just starting with watercolor.i have never done watercoloring before.maybe got overwhelmed.but now that I have started using it. I love it. I really enjoyed your video.
Could you show me how to do a water colour cheat sheet?

Sheetal
Very helpful video. Just wondering do you look at a page to colour and have an idea of a palette in mind or look at the palettes for inspiration? I'm always spending ages choosing which colours to use when starting a project! Thanks for your help
hi, can u post your penterist page and the prior videos you did on pc and crayola pencils? ty soo much
love ur vids
Amazing! I'm going to trace the circles on the color chart since I couldn't find a blank one I like and I use tombow irojitens not prismas
unicorn were you talking about a blank chart for color swatching? If so Jennifer Stay with Coloring Bliss has downloadable blank ones that she designed. I use them quite a bit
thanks
Thank you! I love that idea. I am wondering if you could do a video that shows you using those colors to color a picture.
You’re reading my mind! I’m actually going to be coloring the Spring picture I️ have a sneak peak of in the video to tie in with the first day of Spring coming up here 😁
I have just looked at Pinterest for colour palette ,that was such a great tip. Would you know how to achieve rose gold in coloured pencils ? I would really appreciate help for that ,and l just cannot work out how to figure out what colour to start with , light to dark or dark to light , if someone could help with these questions. I am 75 years young and just starting out colouring.
Beverley Gardam hi. I have a good combination for rose gold done in Prismacolors. I used Deco Pink, Pink Rose, Rosy Beige, Clay Rose, Chestnut and a blender pencil. I hope this helps!!
Oh I forgot. I used chestnut with very fine lines for shadowing around said object. I wish I could show you my finished picture....
instagram.com/p/BdyK6BfgFBF/ if you have Instagram here is my picture. 💖
THATS A GREAT QUESTION, NOW I WANNA TRY TO ACHIEVE A ROSE GOLD LOOK ON SOMETHING :)
Shannon Coppersmith thankyou for your help l really appreciate it .
Im new to this and i love the idea of a cheat sheet but unfortually my Staedtler pencils dont have numbers or names on them. So how would i use this merhod?
Can you please show how you use the palette once you’ve chosen it? I find it very difficult to make it work harmoniously on the page.
What book is that..that you show quickly underneath.. after first color pallete..but before 2nd one please. Thank you.
Cheat sheet is a great idea! I have been using Sarah Ranae Clark's "The Color Catalog," and I love it, but adding palettes from Pinterest is something I hadn't thought of. I will be using that. P. S., I tried to find you to follow you on Pinterest, but I couldn't find you. What name should I be searching for?
I have been using Prisma colored pencils for years. Are the Crayola pencils really that good? How do they react? Thanks!
what crayola donc you use please?
What should I look for in Pinterest for your name and your boards. I just subscribed and love but you did. I go by the name Fran Post
I need a prisma color chart
I wish tht I could totally understand the reason of going to all the work of making.thd chart a drug what. For some reason I simply am not understanding the why for it alli have, a hex chart.how is this different?
I want to make sure I understand. You find one color that matches the one on the palette and then use your cheat sheet to find two colors to go with it, one lighter and one darker? So on a palette of 6 colors, your aim is to end up at the end of the selection process with 18 pencils which includes the 6 on the original palette, is that right? Thank you, Dee
Rachel I tried to find you on Pinterest, what popped up is blank. What did I do wrong.
Nice when money seems to be no object. Wish I could afford to buy every colour pencil out there.
The 100 pack of Crayolas are around $14 at Walmart. Also, if it doesn't have a color you need, you can mix different colors to make a specific color, just like she did in the second example using Crayolas.
what book are you using for creating these swatches? what paper?
I like to use Strathmore sketchbook paper or something that is going to be fairly close to the coloring page paper I'll ultimately be using.
www.coolors.co and die App "Arty" will be very useful for exactly this :) Both of them are able to tell you by a photo or a colouring palette, which pencil colours you need from prisma, polycromos and copics. Not from the cryola though, but its very cool :)
Is Arty just an iOS app I'm not finding it for Android.
I don’t use color palettes because I’m not always sure of my colors because I’m part color blind and cannot always tell what color is what
MAY I PLEASE HAVE YOUR PINTEREST LINK. :)
Are you on Facebook
choose the colors and generate palettes is easy, how hard to know how to use the palette, that is, what color to use as a background, what color for the letters, etc., the video was useless
