Thanks for the review! I have the exact same gun and its hard to find videos on the exact one. I love this gun so far, im a new shooter and i can it the center repeatedly. Bad news is the trigger mechanism broke but S&W is fixing it with no problems it was a simple process of just taking back to the dealer. Im still happy with the purchase and would recommend this gun to anyone interested since it easy and fun to shoot!

Yes, I recently purchased the Performance Center 2.0 9mm 5” CORE with ported barrel and slide.
Main series, M&P 2.0 base model
Pro Series, M&P C.O.R.E. Optics ready, no porting
Performance Center Series (flagship) combines all the advances. Optics and porting if desired

I purchased mine from the Kentucky Gun Company web site. They shipped it to my FFL gun shop (opt for the shipping insurance). They provide you a list of FFL Gun shops you can have it shipped to. You will pick it up there after the required background check is performed. I have a concealed carry license and was able to pick it up the same day the gun shop released It ( they have to place it in inventory first and may take an additional day). If you don’t have a concealed carry license, you will have to wait the usual 3-5 days after the background check is done.

There are several models of the “Performance Center”.
Shield Plus, Shield EZ, M&P 2.0. Different calibers, different barrel lengths, ported or non ported, optic ready, non optic ready. I chose the flagship M&P 2.0 ported 5” barrel 9mm optic ready. I was looking for a full size ported handgun. I previously owned the M&P 2.0 with a 4.25” barrel. I thought about having the slide cut for an optic, but decided to sell it and upgrade to the Performance Center. It’s heavy, it’s accurate. Strictly home defense. I did have jamming issues right from the start. After 2 or 3 rounds it would jam. I polished the feed ramp and slide rails with a dremel conical bit and metal polish. Never had another problem. I do notice a slight difference in muzzle flip (kick). The ported barrel reduces it, but not dramatically.
To answer your question directly. Yes, I ordered it as described on their website. Make sure you read the description very carefully. Some models look very close but the barrel length might be be different, or the porting is not listed

The long first pull on the trigger is a safety feature. So you don't accidentally discharge the weapon and blow your big toe off drawing the gun. If you don't like that feature have an apex trigger installed. I personally like the stock trigger on my m&p 2.0c. I just ordered the 5 inch pro series 2.0 a couple days ago shopped around a found a pretty good deal on this gun. I'm not interested in running a red dot, so the core wasn't really in consideration for me, prefer the fiber optic sights. It's a good looking gun indeedy.

    • @ThruMyLens100

Matt H - this is a gun designed and marketed for competition shooters, not Tactical Timmys. The long trigger pull on this gun is definitely an issue.

@@ThruMyLens100 maybe for some it's an issue. I like the safety feature of the long pull trigger. Not one issue for me with feel, or ability to get off a series of rapid fire. You can make almost any trigger work for you by practice.

I wasn't impressed with the 2.0 c.o.r.e. The trigger feels like a standard m&p but mine didn't have a reset. It was so weak and quiet, may as well consider it non existent. Wasn't impressed. Is this normally how they should be?? Should I send mine back for inspection? Because my regular m&ps have better triggers than the c.o.r.e. and actually have pronounced resets. I don't have the reset you have, I think my trigger is defective.
