    Wonder why they always have those refer a friend bonuses? They need to keep getting new ppl in to take the crap orders and play their little game for a while before they catch on and start not taking those crap orders. Almost like one big ponzi scheme because if we all stopped taking those crap orders they will fall apart but the new drivers are more willing to take those

      Somewhat true but in a lot of areas people are doing earn by time ALOT the payouts is more better. Thing is even under earn by time you can barely get an order because it’s so over saturated they have enough drivers to take the crap orders they just over saturated it. It’s not only doordash fault it’s these dumb azz customers being bold delivering to their big house with no tip little do they know them immigrants gonna leave a nice jizz in their smoothie

    If they wanted as many dashers on the road as possible wouldn’t they let everyone dash when they wanted instead of having to schedule

    • @lnqxr
      @lnqxr Před 5 měsíci +10

      If they did this it would be too obvious. Allowing people to "schedule" gives them the illusion that Door Dash cares that the driver's get a liveable income, or a worthwhile income as a side job. They are a business, if they cared about the drivers, they wouldn't allow Snap benefit to be a means to pay for a Door Dash. They know these EBT aren't going to tip. They don't care. It's revenue for them. Are you really this naive? You combine this with AR and people willing to deliver no tip orders to keep an AR and you get people who will deliver for 2 and 3 bucks regardless of miles. Eventually Door Dash will have nothing but 2 and 3 dollar orders as the higher percentage of orders, and those orders will get delivered. The 10% good orders will be left to be divided amongst the throngs of those who stick around at high AR delivering low paying orders. The writing is on the wall, the Door Dashers don't see it. They are still waiting for their Pie In The Sky to return, and it is not.

    • @Loveaintreal
      @Loveaintreal Před 5 měsíci +8

      Only reason they do that is to make sure u accept all the orders at the end of the week for a 70 percent AR for top dasher which is worthless because if the map is gray and new drivers are out u ain’t getting NOTHING

    • @Moore.Driven
      @Moore.Driven  Před 5 měsíci +8

      They don’t allow it so it forces people to accept 70% of orders and become a top dasher if they want that feature, they care more about getting the no tip orders delivered than having more dashers on the road, if that makes sense

    1000% correct. Love your honesty. I have only been dashing for about a year and a half and I am feeling the difference. Keep up the awareness and please don't sell out like other dashers on this platform. I had to add, I live in Charlotte which is becoming a busy area. Charlotte typically pays between $17/hour up to around $20 during peak hours. However, I NEVER get an order that takes me beyond a few miles so I am making less than I would to do a pay per delivery order. So, what DD will do is limit the hours if I choose to be paid per delivery. So, I have moved from working within Charlotte to smaller surrounding towns. The do not offer pay per hour in these areas because the distance if further.
    In Charlotte, we have delivery robots so I am sure that is coming in place of the driver.

    I've been saying this all the time. They need an army of broke and hungry drivers making just enough to survive one day at the time. DD is the most evil of them all with their enslaving high acceptance rate doctrine. You may wonder who the hell is driving those $2-3 orders. Top Dashers do. They will brag about how well they are doing on DD platform but in reality just select few are making somewhat decent money. Once a driver agrees to their AR policy he/she becomes a slave and forced to accept bunch of trash orders in exchange for a few good ones. DD have rolled out a new algorithm update last November. No more cherry picking here. If your AR is less than 50% then it's all long distance trash for you all day long. Another thing if that DD is constantly running a referral program. Back in a day you had to wait on waiting list in order to get activated....

    NYC dasher here, yes the pandemic we made more money but that was a unique situation. The mandated $30 EBT has been a big boon for many people here even with the insane over saturation. Personally before the change I typically average 18 per hour and with the mandate I have been consistently averaging 25 per hour for the last 2 months.
    Not only that since they put tipping after delivery they seem to have compensated that buy making the base pay worth it for the most part. The average base pay I see is anywhere from 6-12 dollars and higher depending on the type of order and distance.

Like I see people complaining about not making enough door dashing, I thought it must be horrible. Then I started dashing and literally averaging 100-120 a day. For a lot of people, even 20$ a day is life changing. That helps pay bills that they otherwise couldn’t pay. No one is entitled to better pay from door dash. If it isn’t enough money for you, and you have skills then go use those skills to make money.

    You make a good point with the robots. I don’t know how that’s going to affect everyone economically. Elon was saying the robots could work most jobs but there could be a universal income. Dunno if that universal income will happen but there will be protests in the streets if that happens.

Whixh were about .5 miles and I'm on a bike. One customer tipped me 5 so it went up to $16. And I got a 12 or 13 dollar adjustment because I didn't meet the minimum guarantee earnings

      I heard someone say on a comment DD lost $1 billion last year. If that's the case there is absolutely no business model in this world that can sustain itself or manage to stay open and turn a profit "After Expenses" on a consistent basis if there losing that kind of money year in and year out. The only way they can stay in business is to make much more than they lose. Honestly I really hope Tony and DD go bankrupt for being such greddy savages. Same thing happened to Enron, AIG, Lehman Brothers that they were to big to fail and well they did. Remember Block Buster, Kodak, Pan Am, Compaq, General Motors, Sears? Well they went bankrupt and the same can happen to DD.

      To tell drivers that DD is a "non-profit" company is WRONG!

I asked 2 different people waiting there if their orders were slow. Neither one spoke English.😮

    When you keep saying you've been a doordash driver Six years, It doesn't make it sound any better. I've endured dashing since 2018, and as of right now, I feel so embarrassed. I think you should stop saying that cause it makes us sound foolish, knowing that we're wasting our time on a 1099 job and getting low ball orders, then having to pay those taxes back at the end of the year, with the same money your making from doordash, or whatever gig app your utilizing. Me walking around with this red door ass bag makes me look stupid now as I look back over what I could have been doing following new endeavors in my life.
