Btw is that valheim music in the background or am I crazy?
it is. they seemed to be having issues with the music in ASKA and suggested muting it so i changed it.
I am hoping to follow your advice on setting up defenses, so far your tutorials have been good - Thank you! I made it to the bear attack on my own w/out help and did things wrong. It ended badly; had 5 villagers ended up with 1 or 2 and just gave up on that seed!
yeah not setting up a couple guys to help you with defense early can really hurt your later progression because it feels like you are in a downward spiral

getting a set up early on is important because its a snowball effect. also winters are very very hard if you don't prepare well for them so getting a head start is a very good idea
