- Upgrades for the 911
FINALLY... my first REAL upgrades are done to the 911! In this video I utilized custom parts from Emc2 Design to add 991 side skirts, 991 front lip spoiler, as well as front and rear splitters to my 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera S. Watch along to get the story of Emc2 Design and to see the transformation happen.
Adding subtle aero upgrades to the 997 adds a custom look as well as improved aerodynamic properties to the 911.

Great video Michael - thanks for your support and all the effort that went into creating this. Your 997.2 looks amazing!!
Sooo happy to have this done! The whole idea of making real Porsche parts work so well across the 911 generations speaks to me. I’m a fan 😬
Looks much better than I thought it would. Makes me want to get the kit for me now, lol. Good video.
Thanks buddy! I’m pretty sure they have widebody available.
Wow. That does look killer!!
Thanks, Andre! I’m super pleased with it.
Aswome upgrade and looks phenomenal. Another great video.
I love it! Thanks for watching.
initially came here to hate on downgrading the best gen 911 (997) with inferior gen parts and surprisingly i don't hate.
Ha. Thanks for sticking through it. Those 991 pieces look really at home on the 997!
good job bud! I think it would look cool had you painted those parts first before install. either way looks great.
Thanks for watching😬
I wish they made that for the 996.
Awesome video!! I have a factory Aerokit and I’ve been wanting to get the EMC2 kit since they announced it late last year. The side skirts and rear skirt will finish the look of the Aerokit IMO. And I want to throw the front lip on my wife’s Boxster. Good to see the material is heavy and durable. Kind of hard to see how much of an impact the kit has on a black car, but definitely noticeable. Ribs look tasty too!
I bet on a yellow car that black trim would be bangin. I’ve already scuffed four or five times and the lip has held up really well to the abuse. But I have learned some new parking lot angled exit techniques.😂
@@motorsandmeats88Yeah it should stand out a bit more in yellow. Over the weekend I was test fitting spacers. While looking at my “comparison pics” of the different sizes it realized the wheel gap looks huge. So that got me thinking about a drop, but a small one. But not sure I wanna mess with ride quality. This stuff is an endless cycle!! LOL!! 1st world problems!!
@@K1dPhresh1 ha. For real. I’m gonna use the Eibach lowering springs on this car. Supposed to be no more than 1 inch drop. I used H&R lowering springs on the 996. I hear that the H&R springs for this one can drop it over an inch and a half. Might be too much for an S model that already sits a little lower than a standard Carrera.
@@motorsandmeats88 that’s the same conclusion I came to: Eibachs. I’d be content with 3/4 of an inch drop I think. Don’t care for the slammed look and certainly don’t want to compromise the ride.
@@K1dPhresh1 I liked the H&R‘s on the 996, but it rode, what seemed like, a lot higher than my 997 before lowering it.
