Em made this song bc Benzino threatened Hailie’s life. He said Hailie was gonna end up like Jonbenet Ramsey (the little paegent girl who was found murdered at 6 years old). This and “quitter” are my 2 favorite diss tracks by Em. “Quitter” is a brutal diss to Everlast where he remixes Tupac’s “hit ‘em up” in the 2nd half of the song and even uses D12 in the track like Tupac used his group-The Outlawz. Eminem, 50Cent and Busta Rhymes also had a diss track to Ja Rule called “Hail Mary remix” where he again remixes a Tupac song-Hail Mary. That one’s 🔥 too

Having a ghost writer for any hip hop song is wack unless you’re upfront about it from the start like Dr Dre who let’s everyone know he doesn’t write his verses. When you have ghost writers what talent exactly are you displaying as a rapper? Hip hop is supposed to be reflection of your life, struggles, pain, storytelling or even if it’s a fictional story it’s creative. So if someone else wrote it then all the artist is doing is using their voice kinda like a kid in school reading a paragraph out of a book in front of the class-the kid didn’t write the book so no one’s gonna be impressed that you read a paragraph from a book! Singing- I can understand using ghost writers bc you still have to have a great voice but in hip hop where you’re not required to have a great voice, it’s about using your brain, wits, using creativity. No rapper who uses ghost writers should EVER be considered as a GOAT or top hip hop artist!
