Meh. Who in his world growing up wouldnt? Thats disingenuous to say. Get bullied enough and everything becomes a trigger. Get some recognition and it emboldens you to fight back. In his early days of fame, he finally had an outlet, and he had a lot of pent-up resentments. And what numbnuts would just let someone spit on them?? Jump off the stage to deck someone spitting on him? Yeah i would too. So would you, dont cap.

@@mtraven23haha no cap detected. 16yo me thought that was the coldest bar ever. Not to mention ICP was in the WWE at time under the "Oddities" stable with Luna Vachon, that giant guy, and John Tienta (RIP) the former Earthquake. And of course they brought midgets and went full stop early 1900s circus act making fun of the socalled 'freaks'. I could never stand icp and even if I could've their fans would've ruined it for me. Their whole record label was into occult garbage and they all rapped about fantasizing murdering and torturing people.
My adopted cousin through foster care at age 3 only knew ICP songs because her parents found that appropriate for a girl still in diapers. Oh and Freddy Krueger movies. Some people are really just that sick and twisted, willing to ruin their baby's life. She's 22 now and it's heartbreaking knowing she was schizophrenic before middle school ended. That just should not happen unless a person has been mentally tormented past their capacity to cope. And he parents should be rotting in prison. Debase and rot your own brain if you so choose but when it comes to a child, that should never be tolerated. Especially while snitches cop down from 1st degree to involuntary by snitching on their friends and receiving 30 months instead of life. Makes my damn blood boil

The best thing about Em's 2nd and 3rd albums is how much you can HEAR the polish in both the production side AND in the booth. It is literally a clear case of "staircase career" advancement. 1st album was amazing on its own.... but the second one had Dr. Dre sounding SO CLEAN on the beats, and Em in the booth with his topics (at that young age and level of rage)... then the 3rd came out and it was like BOTH Dr. Dre and Em were firing on ALL cylinders and couldn't be topped ..... which is basically what happened with "Shady Records" for about 10 years with Em, 50 and D-12... WITHOUT the typical "air play" that most artists at that time NEEDED to reach the levels of success that they were reaching. I mean, D-12's "Devil's Night" and "World" basically got NO "air play on the radio", and yet were both PLATINUM selling records.

Im pushing 40 and i still think he's the best rapper to ever live.
I think i was 12 ? somewhere around there when my buddy made a copy of his infinite album on tape LOL.
Anyway, Em says some goofy fucked up shit in a lot of his tracks but this one sticks out because literally everything he talks about really happened.
And hes a wizard with wordplay, hence the name of the song being his REAL name , because he's talking about REAL events.
    1. Britneys album was $16 back in that time to buy on CD
He didn't necessarily dislike these people personally, he just had vision and saw the way the music industry was headed and even though we don't have boy/girl bands today , the hip/hop scene IS pretty much all jibberish and flexing jewelry while drinking expensive alcohol ( hence the reference Cris poppin & wrist watches )
2.The "clowns" who spray Faygo rootbear , he's talking about ICP (Isane Clown Possy). Shaggy(Faggy) 2 dope and Silent Jay(Gay).
You might know them better by their followers who are (were) called Juggalos.
They tried to get attention by dissing EM on some tracks but it backfired.
Literally. D12 really did see them in some club and played a prank on them and shot em up with paintballs while they ran away scared for their lives.
They even reference this in the movie 8 MILE , just using different characters but to anyone who knows, that was another "SHOT" at them.
He single handedly ruined whatever joke of a career they had going for themselves and even before and since then its just common knowledge not to fuck with this man publicly if you like your job in the music industry.
    3. His mother did Sue him for 10 Mil and he really did have an opiate addictions that lasted for years.
A buttload of other people sued him as well. More notably the guy he talks about in "Brain Damage" , the kid that was bullying him.
If you want to hear him going off on that topic and his insane fans as well , listen to "The Way I am" , "Stan" & "Who knew".
    4. XXL really is a magazine and at the time they just tried constantly to portray him as an obscene villain.
He obviously didn't give a fuck. No such thing as bad publicity.
Btw.. if you're into Hip-Hop and you're already racking up these views , you should go back and listen to all his albums.
    Old and new.
Some of the stuff he's released recently just shows how much hes grown and PERFECTED his skills.
He never was just a controversy figure. From day one the guy was one of the best and now, history just speaks for itself.
He single handedly holds the record for most copies sold to this day. Don't get me wrong, i got love for a lot of the OGs and a few of the newer crowd that still sticks to the core of what this music is actually all about , but at the end of the day EMs is number 1. He's been #1 for a long time.
    I don't see that changing.

Honestly it is a lot more complex now to drop something of a non conforming nature... so it is kind of impractical to be actually over a certain extent going against the grain of societal norms and traditions not longstanding but rather the decade or even decade and a half worth of years with consistency having becme the long past taking a foothold but more or less. Pretty much presumably permanent for etter or for worse regardless but yeah man also to easy to be cancelled nowdays and that has more of an irreversable seemingly irreversable fwiw impact now...
With the former Inbev and Annheisserbucsh getting still for awhile now the shaft from both ends of the political spectrum in the usa at least from seemingly what is portrayed but does not somehow seem to have effected the prices...

Just found your channel bro, love your reaction. Eminem is like a huge wormhole, you can fall into it and won't return for years.
His life is definitely one of pain, suffering, dedication and triumph. He had everyone against him from his mother, wife, magazines, media, parents, politicians (he even had secret services sent to his house on behalf of two different presidents).
Marshall Mathers LP is an all time classic and has some fantastic tracks, it's one of the few albums a can listen to from start to finish, without skipping.
I would recommend 'Criminal' and 'Kill You' for some hard Em, but there is also some strong Slim Shady songs on there as well.
If you decide to do a longer reaction, try doing 'Kim' and '97 bonnie and Clyde' (in that order). They are both connected, and the second song was actually recorded before the first, making the whole thing mind bending.

This is from the Marshall Mathers LP back in 2000. Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J are the 2 man group Insane Clown Posse that Eminem was beefing with early in his career, and he’s talking about Jennifer Lopez who Diddy was dating at the time this song came out when he says you little groupie b**ch get off me go f**k puffy. The cancel culture is real! I was only trying to answer your questions and had to edit this comment to post it because of the lyrics about what Eminem said about Jennifer Lopez.👀

Em does a lot of talking now about how he doesn't think he's changed and how he doesn't like when people talk about how he used to be; but anyone who listened to The Marshall Mathers LP knows that the Em of today has gone soft. He's a hell of a lyricist, and he's a technically amazing MC. Nothing against that.
But the Em of today doesn't have half the balls that he used to. He used to live by the name "Mr. Don't Give a Fuck", and this album showed it. The only thing he censored was the shit that would get him actually sued. Now Em self-censors so people don't get mad at him. Mr. Don't Give a Fuck gives so many fucks about everything and anything now. It's disappointing.

Dont believe that shit. Eminem is a goof off the mic. Slim Shady is the inner demon we dont let see the light of day, but he's also the type that woulda been a wife-beater instead of standing still catching hands from someone.
Slim is the fantasy we all have of beating the brakes off our bullies.
The bit about Too Dope and Violent Jay (Insane Clown Posse) is cuz to promote a gig, Eminem suggested that ICP might be there... he never cleared it with ICP and they had an issue with it. Then they putnout a diss track "Slim Anus" on the same beat as "My Name Is". This song "Marshall Mathers" is on his 2nd label album (MMLP in 1999) and here he's clapping back at everyone that had an issue with him because of his first label album SSLP as well as ICP and others.
In Eminem's own words, SSLP was supposed to just be dark comedy but media took it serious.
And yes his mom sued him for 10M. But lost mostly. The big blanked out chunk in that verse was some choice words name dropping her lawyer.
And dont get it twisted, Eminem is only a thug on the mic... he came up in battle rap, he knows how to leave it all on the mic, and when it comes to killing on wax he dont hold back...
He did get bullied a lot as a kid... Slim Shady was born from this... it became his outlet.
But same as most of us there's times when passion gets the better of us... and he's been in touble a few times, most prominent of which was for pistol whipping a dude he suspected was hooking up with his wife. Frankly, I'd have done the same.
