Benzino was in charge of the Source Magazine. He kinda took over the magazine through extortion tactics. That's why Eminem references him bullying and bossing people around at the magazine. He also mentions Dave Mays who actually is the creator of the Source Magazine. Benzino's real name is Raymond. Every time he mentions "Ray" he's talking about Benzino in the diss. Benzino was a part of a rap group called Made Men, and since he ran the Source Magazine, he had the reviewer give their album 4.5 Mics. Which is why Eminem is saying only people who get the highest ratings in the Source are Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas and the owner of the Source, Benzino.

Great reaction! Benzino became a part owner of the source but he continued to push & praise his own albums and others irv gotti ran his way (like made men & murder inc). Em's MMLP was at first given only 2 or 2.5 mics (1-5 scale); which was later changed to 4, and all this is mentioned in this one Track (btw great selection!); which explains the beginning of the beef (INVASION I-III), plus GATMAN & ROBBIN (50 & Em) all mention aspects of this. The source ended about 6 months after the beef. Benzino had to sell his part, but the SHADY AFTERMATH Record label beef left the magazine in dust...along with many others. 😂😂

I like the one to Rick Ross, Ol jail guard ass was in his come up and ran loose lips on MTV said a rythme like monkey to calling Em a honkey and mentioned he weren't worried about Em on wax maybe I make a diss on him ....then Em dropped "despicable" just to humble ol tator head up and it did exactly that.....but the beats in the song are dope as fuck and it was cut throat ,like here's a taste bitch if you want the smoke.....you should check it out
