India has a special place in my heart. I'm 33 now, but when I was 21 I first discovered VahChef's youtube channel(The top Indian cooking show on youtube). I've been cooking his traditional recipes since then, and I've seen all of his hundreds of videos. You guys won't be able to tell by my comment, but having you two finally try the snacks of one of my favorite cuisines on Earth brings so much joy :D. I hope you guys have a blast exploring the extremely unique food in India on your trip!
Edit: Asafoetida is called "hing" in Hindi btw. The container in my kitchen has a VERY strong smell, kind of like a MUCH more pungent onion+garlic. You add a tiny bit to hot oil in certain dishes, and the smell of it frying is very enticing. Sorry, I had to nerd out with my passion for Indian ingredients :x
Your passion for Indian food is so adorable.
It feels great to know about your passion for learning how to cook Indian food...lots of love from India 💕😊😊
Wow! U know so much! Yes, I love the hing tadka too! It always gives the food a very special taste. But my favourite place to use hing is Dal Khichdi.
Hing. I hate that thing. Thanks mom!!!
@@Maryorra u are right. Tadka of heeng in desi ghee over dak khichdi n sone pickle, raita n papad to go with it is light but great comfort food.
If there is an art to spices, Indians mastered it many years ago. Their food is delicious! I come from England and we Brits love Indian cuisine.
Of course you're British lol omfg
That's why they came for trade and never left lol!
#peace
PS: Come visit us. We're nice people 😀
Also India used to dominate spice trade through sea.
We used to earn huge amount of gold bcz of spice trade.
But you couldn't master it ( and will never ) even after STEALING it. 😂😝
@cringy onion I'm getting there ;) On a scale of 1-10, I can handle a 5, and I'm trying to work my way up.
okay, did anyone else feel sorry for the cute doggo poking it's head for food 😂
Edit : thanks guys for so many likes
I mean the dog is relatable
I knew sum1 may have commented on that, i only came to read comment about that dog...
Yeah😁 whenever he heard cruch his eyes became big😁

"Shiv shambo/ Indian raga " ( it is a classical dance video representating bharat-natyam form out of the eight classical dance forms of Indian).
"choudhary/ coke studio India " ( it is a song video representating the folk songs of the state of Rajasthan ).
Look for the videos on CZcams.
Thank you.

@@preetikushwa7032 sorry but wrong video lol
A lot
Alot is not a word
Thank you for praising us
I'm an Indian girl, living in Tokyo, and this video gives me hope that I can find Lay's Magic Masala somewhere here. Going to start scouring every Indian store now... lol
Best of luck😂😂hope you find your snacks😂😂
chocolategirlo, I found Indian Magic Masala lays at a seedy little store in Shinokubo. I think the store was called Nasko Food Court (I'm not sure) but it's super close to Shinokubo station and easy to find. They don't always have that flavor but they do always seem to have Spanish Tomato Tango. Hope this helps!
@@tealiquidsoul5467 Thanks so much! I'll check it out next time I go to Shinokubo. 😊
I had them in India years ago. My favorite chip for sure. We now have them here in the USA at the Indian grocery stores. So good! Good luck finding them.
If all else fails I'm sure you could order them online!
Okayyyy I'm feeling weird cause all these snacks we munch on everyday like it's nothing and this Japanese duo is making these snacks feel like works of an art. 😭❤️ I'll eat Samosa, lays, chakli etc. With respect from now on 😭🙈❤️
So true bro
I feel u bruh 😅
And here u now!! After eating chakki and all that's.
And respect for samosa c'mon ...Life line bhai humari life line
They're a couple uwu
MURUKKKKU... 😂😂 When u said that in Japanese accent I died bro 🤣🤣
As a south Indian...i respect you very much for trying Murukku...one of my favourites
When you visit India, please try the street food. Indian snacks are better when freshly made. Indian families rarely eat packaged snacks when we get together. There are lots to try like Pani puri, jalebi, samosas, pakora etc. You can google them of course. Lots of love from India. Hope you have a great time whenever you visit India. 😊
Ankita Khataniar Go to restaurants AVOID street food unless you want a Upset Tummy. Street Food = Food Poisoning
Actually we are pretty used to street food. Less stomach upsetting😀
@Sushil Kumar yeah that is a classic sweet. I love rasmalai
yeah but not every street food is good in all over indian but some places i have seen very tasty street food where davids been here channel and bestfoodreviwshow channel showed it by food experts of india so go through food experts only
@@tomato9138 I would also recommend to ask a local preferably a youngster, about the best stalls. Every locality have their own "famous" food stall, where the locals go almost every day.
Indian magic masala is my favorite flavor of chips 😍
@IndianGamer yes I am 😁
My favorite is American style onion 😍❤
@@hb.9355 mine toooo😘😘😘😋😋
Same!! Blue one😍😍
@@anulekhasaikia6466 same bro 😍😍
u guys should try freshly cooked samosas... packed ones dnt have that impact
they are unhealthy too
The ones that these guys had was from a brand called haldirams, they are a good brand with some really tasty stuff
James Debbarma so true

So cool that you're going to India! I love Indian food and the people are so nice! Sending, as always, much love to you both!
I love you Guys..... I come home after a tough day and I see you both trying out food. Being an Indian makes me nostalgic since I am in US now so I had to comment. I watch your videos to decompress and they help me cheer up. Keep up the good work. I am a fan!
Hey don't worry everything will be fine. Have faith n focus on great positive things. Love you

Asafoetida is a type of resin from a type of plant in the celery family, and you can pronounce it "assafetida" because it stems from the word "Fetid" because of the spice's Fetid or pungent odor 😊
So much love from India guys...
All us Indian otakus love Japan & it's culture... it's beautiful...
Good to see Japanese try our snacks.
You said muruku so perfectly...
Your profile pic shows perfect expression of your statement.

One thing I love about your food tasting videos is that you can differentiate most of the ingredients in the food, even without checking or knowing what's in it. Not many people can do it as well as you guys, and that includes other food vloggers. Love your videos!
I'm from Indiaaaa!! I am sure you will have soo much fun in India.. Also, there is great, great food and quite cheap too.. Please try pani puri when you go.. may be google it first..
😊
Excellent work..and thank God you didn't say it smells and takes like curry...you definitely know your stuff... welcome to India.... visit South India for mouthwatering non veg dishes, North for chicken Tikka, Butter chicken and range of veg, west coast for fish , and the East for excellent cuisine, never seen on an Indian menu , abroad
..they are not prejudiced..so it nice😄.
I just love your accent man. And the way you talk with so much mannerism and respect , western guys would never do that. Its such an Asian thing to do. Thank you for reacting. I would love to try some Japanese food. Been fan of Japan since I started watching Anime then I started watching songs and movies and last vlogs. Your country is beautiful.
I love Japan🇯🇵 and japanese culture🎎 I wish to visit Japan someday☺
Proud to be Indian 🇮🇳👳
I Luv You 💖
I Love you dear😉💖

Same here
That's the cutest pronunciation of "Murukku" I've ever heard.
Justin's face is everything!!
The Bourbon biscuit originated in London, UK in 1910 and remains one of the best sellers here. It's my absolute favourite biscuit
But Merlin, he liked the samosas more, which ain't British !
@Jayant Chandel There was no need for him either to proclaim his Queen Elizabeth heredity of a type of biscuit and neither for you to defend him..
Btw it was still nevertheless Indian bourbon, not UK one. If UK bourbon was so famous, then videos should have been floating about it, not the Indian one. (Indian bourbon tastes much different than UK one )
I'm an Indian fan and I'm so glad that you tried these. Thank you for your honest opinion!!
Bourbon biscuits are really good
Woa I was eating bourbon biscuits was this the
Most welcome! As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I clicked it. Nice video 👍. Also try Haldirams khatta-meetha(sour-sweet), Kurkure masala munch, Britannia little hearts, Parle jam-in biscuits.
These snacks are Over the counter snacks, available at all stores in India. Their market share is < 5%
But real Indian snacks is way way different and in fact not available in pre-packed form, over the counter. They are available at dedicated snack stores, that just sell few types of snacks & nothing else. For all varieties in a particular region you may have to visit more than 4 - 5 stores. Snacks also change tremendously region wise.
Believe me if you ever tried Gujrati snacks (all), Marathi farsan like Chiwda, Sukka Bhel, Mixture, ram-dana chikki, peanut chikki, Tamil snacks like tapioca chips, sweet potato chips, banana chips, Original Marwari bhujia (Not Bikaneri bhujia, but original marwari one), mewa dalmoth, Northern snacks like roasted Chickpeas, roasted peanuts, roasted stamped rice, etc your level of understanding of Indian food will change completely. They are the major snacks that Indian people eat.
In fact most of the real snacks do not contain very high spices and are less salty. Many of them are actually sweet-ish.
Warning : I'm telling you, it is dangerous to try good quality Tapioca chips from Tamil Nadu/Kerela. If you have just 1 chips, you won't be able to control yourself and end up eating 10 large packets, until your stomach can take no more.
Hahahaha, seriously though. Tapioca chips are addictive. Pepper banana chips are a close second.
I simply appreciate how you mentioned snacks from different regions!!! Thank you ✨
I am genuinely excited for you guys to explore the world of Indian cuisine and especially in India. Though I am no longer in India I do hope you guys visit Gujarat and try the local food.
Please remember that each region has a different take on some of the common foods (so try them all :P) and never miss a street food stall!
Bourbon (not pronounced the American way - it's "borbon", not "berbon") are a popular biscuit in the UK. It's our equivalent of Oreos.
So polite and humble. Thanks for this video :)
My favorite was Justin chan! He’s soooo kawaii! ☺️ I actually would’ve picked the samosas too! They looked chock full of yumminess! Thanks for sharing boys! I love Indian food so much! Especially, tandoori chicken, saag paneer, dal, and garlic naan! 😋
I also like samosa and dal makhani with crunchy paratha .
Umm... Actually it's palak(spinach) paneen and saag is different dish 😊
when you go to India you should try Dosa they are a type of pancake
Going to India this year!? When??
I love Indian snacks but so salty. Goes great with beer ;)
"Moong Daal " namkeen , fritters , masala papad etc
I don't drink beer. But I like them with Coca-Cola.
both (beer and CC) are bad for your body and mind... and soul. I hope you realise it one day.
Japanese indo relation is great indeed
Huge respect keep spreading love guys......
👏
Justiiiiin ❤️ I love seeing him sneaking around, following the food, lol. I’m really enjoying seeing him poke his little head in with this new lower filming set-up! :)
Inside the samosa packet there was a tamarind sauce pack
Ya.. I was thinking the same :)
Hey guys! I'm so excited to hear that you are traveling to India! I have always wanted to go so I'm looking forward to your vlogs when you go. I have never had Indian snacks, just a few Indian dishes. I would have LOVED to try the Samosas. I have never had one before but I have heard they are delicious! You both looked like you enjoyed it. Also I love the addition to Justin to your videos! His little head poking up as you open/taste the snacks is priceless.
Love you guys. This one was fun to watch, just like all your videos. You also need to try all the non-packaged Indian snacks when you go.
This food review is soo relaxing and fun to watch.. It really is a stress reliever😊😊
You two are so adorable. I have very high regards for Japan and Japanese people. Lots of love from India.
Asafoetida is like a dried latex from rhizome plant. It's usually added to the curry of other food items. It helps in digestion.
This video is so cute ! I'm visiting Japan at the end of this month and excited to eat authentic Japanese cuisine. X
Why don't you tried Dark Fantasy Chocofillls!!!!! It's really awesome!!(^^)
@@user-hz9he8bq7u I too am an Indian and how can you become a scientist in such a young age!!!😊😊😊
World of Anime oh my god yes!! Just biting into them makes me experience euphoria.
@@anjanasrivastava1010 you know what my name is Anjani!!!😆😆😆😊😊
Because they have better chocolates.

It all sounded fantastic! Would be so interesting to try all of these! Look forward to hearing more about that trip to India! 🤠
Can't wait until you guys go to India
At 7:51 look at the dog!! So cute!! It's like "Give ME ONE!!!" Lol!!
In 2004 A British backpacker in Sydney ordered a curry from UK which was sent frozen&got in Guinness Book of Records. Indian food is yum,but the Brits are known for great curries.Do take probiotics for India, the somosa snack is quite inventive&the festivals are really out there,I must go back one day,Thanks again
You guys are so awesome after watching your snack videos I always want to make a trip to Lawson’s
The poor dog 😥
If I were there I would have given the whole snacks to the dog. 😘♥️
Lol same
Human food is actually not that safe for animals. Dogs and cats are lactose intolerant. Which is why dogs and cats in different places get diseases and die early.
You shouldn't give that kinda food to a doggo
dogs can't digest fried stuff
I know humans food are not good for their health.. but I was talking here emotionally.. when they look with their innocent eyes.. it just melts my heart.. I have a pet bunny too and I am an animal lover. 😊
i always have to eat lunch or dinner when i watch you guys or else i would be snacking away everything i have at home xD
This is great. I forgot how much I liked the international taste test stuff. Great video I've been thinking of going to some of my local Halal shops here in Japan and making a video for my channel. What was your overall favorite region of snacks?
Justin's face when those chocolate cookies came out 🤣😂
Yum! I love snacks! Everything looked really good!
Very real reactions. I appreciate🙏🙏🙏
I am so so happy you are enjoying Indian snacks ....as Indian I can understand how feel ..as I always enjoy Japanese snacks like this 😍😍🥰🥰😇😇😇
My all time favorite snack comes from a local Indian import store here in Michigan, it's Haldiram's brand spicy peanuts, which are fried peanuts dipped in a crispy, spicy chick pea batter. They are amazing, especially with a nice cold beer.
It is really great to see you trying Indian snacks, cuisines, and perfecting the pronunciation. I wish you have a wonderful time when u come here, and I will be happy to show you around. Do let me know if you come to Bangalore. Bless you both.. amazing to see you both enjoying Indian food so happily. 😃
Konnichiwa to India..a warm welcome to you both😍🤗
Really interesting and I always enjoy the internatonal snack tasting.
I am having kurkure right now because this video made me crave for it... just dropped by to comment that😁 by the way, I am not Indian 😁😁
What fun to try Indian snacks! The samosa treats looked like they were really nice. Everything looked like you really enjoyed it. I know you are looking forward to visiting India, and it's so fun to start trying some food treats now! Sending hugs to all three of you now, Justin included! :-)
@TabiEats the Samoa's had asafoetida in them which is a kind of reisin obtained from trees, used as a flavouring agent
Lol 😂 I the dog looking at them eating at 3:51
Dog: give me some food dorks..u gotta treat me better
Hope you enjoy your trip!!!
I love when Justin is watching 🥰
Yes the samosa's look yummy, I had masala chips in the past, tasty and the chocolate biscuits looked tasty as well
I really like these guys. I'm gonna subscribe. I'm from India and I love Japan.
I enjoyed your video. I really would like to visit japan in future. Thanks a lot guys. Excel on 👍👍👍👌
I want to try those masala chips! Sounds soooo good. And the murukku. Sounds like good protein.
Murukku means Twist. It takes the name from shape!! You nailed it.
Wow very good. Love from Chennai, South India!
Poor doggy! Hoping that you will give him/her some!!
アメリカ東海岸ネズミ王国のある街に在住です。これを見ていたら急に食べたくなりました。二人の食べっぷりとコメントがすごくいいです。早速近所のインドのスーパーマーケットに行ってきます!
Bourbon was my favorite biscuit sandwich growing up. It can also be found in Indonesia, although it is not as popular as in India.
Mmmmmmm. I want a snack now. Thank you for sharing 😊
All those snacks are making me hungry!
These r dry mini samosa n doesn't have potato , at least I think so , but even if it does then try it with tea , all these snacks other than chips taste best with tea to calm down the spices ... Asefotida is another spice used in India , it's used by many ppl as replacement to onion n garlic , it has earthy smell n taste . Its very strong n goes well with Indian spices n dishes .
Those lays Spanish chips looked yummy.
Loved your upload n reaction 👍👍
Love from India 🇮🇳❤️🇯🇵
Guys try to visit after September, coz it's gonna be toooo hot before it. Even we can't go out of our homes ... And you can try Western States of India like:-Manipur, Arunanchal Pradesh ( you would feel like home)....Himachal Pardesh for best Side seen...Southern States for travel...and If you wanna learn India's language, you have to learn 1200 languages😄
Asafoetida is a gum that is derived from a plant grown in Afghanistan and Central Asia. In its raw form it's very pungent but on cooking it gives umami taste to Indian savoury dishes, curries and dal. Helps in digestion too
Your video is perfect for my beer guys!!! Salud!!!
despite being from different countries, the Asian culture altogether has many common and pertinent features which can be visible from your videos, prominent one being accepting foreign culture.
Love you guys. this the 2nd video of your channel i'm watching.
Very interesting! I love chips but the Samosa looked amazing!
I can buy the samosas here in my city. They are good, but they can get greasy if you eat too many at a time.
@@Jigglysaint these r different ones... Filling is made of dal, dry fruits n spices as these ingredients hv more shelf life compared to potato. These r not that greasy.
that's not actually samosa though, the original samosas texture is much more soft than this one... plus the stuffing is different
@@writeintent3936 I meant I can buy these specific samosa snacks. I'm well aware of the differences between actual samosas and these. They still are a bit heavy for me regardless, so if I buy them again, I need to not eat the entire package at once.
@@Jigglysaint oh ok!
Indian snack!! Interesting 🤩
I try them as well, especially the one with cocoa flavored cookie 😺
Common name for Asafoetida is Hing. Indians use it for Tadka a.k.a Spice Tempering in India.
The snacks look yum. I like muruku the best. Can’t stop eating once started.
Hey buddy 👋 I feel proud to be Indian and yaa Indian dish have both spice and sweet items , may you guys like our snacks 💞💞
8:21 and I have always wanted to go to Japan and try those mochi buns and ramen and rice cakes and hot pot.......
I like how the guy with glasses reacts to everything. Pretty hilarious.
This video now popped up in my recommendation, I immediately opened it and now I am really feeling great. Japan 🇯🇵 has a special place in my heart (since childhood) because of the awesome Japanese games (esp NES) that I have been playing for more than 20 years. Japan games have made my childhood awesome...and plus many Indian loves Japanese animes (esp DBZ, DBS, Naruto (and Shippuden), Death Note, and many more...) My favourite is *City Hunter* and My favourite NES game is *Ninja Gaiden* from Tecmo.
If you someday visit India and if you then visit Delhi (capital) there are many street sweets esp in *Old Delhi* area such as *Imarti*, *Jalebi, Faluda, Chuski and Kulfi (in summers), Ras Malai, Rabdi* aaaannddd many more :) Or *spicy yet tasty stuffs like Pav bhaji, Golgappe (also known as Pani Puri), Chhole Bhature, Bedmi (they are more in old delhi region), Raj Kachori, Bhelpuri etc.* There are so much to explore...
Finally, love this video... *I am planning to visit Japan for higher studies and despirately will eat Ramen Noodles, Rice Cakes, Dorayaki, Mochi and Dango*. 🇯🇵♥️
Justin is sooo cute 😍😍Never had snacks from India! These look tasty 😋
I love Japan and Japanese people♥️♥️ Love from🇮🇳

You are going to have a blast with Indian food. I recommend trying authentic street chat from Tip Top or Prashanth Corner ( that way you won't get sick). Delhi and Lucknow are famous for street food. Mumbai is amazing too (Try Vada Pav and Pav Bhaji ). South India is totally a different ball game.. you will love it!
