      At some point there is a "flag" with the tag "Alle mot 1" (all against one). It's a norwegian television show that is a different kind of live quiz show. 1 person is in the studio, he gets told an exercise that is goin to happend, - in this case, Magnus will climb the rope. The question is for example; How high will Magnus get? etc. He make a guess,- then the people that is watching from home can guess aswell with an app. If the person is the studio gets closer than the peoples average guess he wins the round. And if the peoples average is close they win.
      He also thank NRK for the footage in the info under the video. They're the host of the show.
      All in all he's probably not allowed to talk about why he's there=)

    • @Iberium
      @Iberium Před 4 lety +139

      @@kamron_thurmond Remember that proper technique becomes more difficult the higher you go. The rope quickly gets too heavy to pull up with your foot as you try to squeeze it in between both feet to stand on it as you should. He mentions this at the end as well. After like 20m most you can do is squeeze your legs around the rope.
      I do agree though he could have prepared more and he was dangling only using his arms way too often trying to figure out footwork.

    • @nikolabeleski7003

      Kamron Thurmond I don’t think so, he’s already had his whole life to sculpt upper body strength with what he does, and sure he can get better with improved technique but that final 9 is a hell of a lot to gain. When you near the top ends of a spectrum the difficulty really starts peaking eg, Thor deadlifting 1kg more than Eddie hall at 500-501kg. There’s potential for him but I’d argue it would take a lot more than just a couple of weeks

The four masts went up two hundred feet into the air with securing rope that also went up 150 feet on each side. One day, several of us had this idea to compete and see who could climb to the top the fastest, when just as we started our climb, the First Mate spotted us and screamed at the top of his lungs to get the hell down! He then told us of some kid who stupidly attempted the same and got up to around 50 feet before losing his strength and sliding all the way down. He had to be taken to the hospital with severe rope burns between his thighs. All I can is...Thank you sir for having saved us all that day from a similar fate or worse!
