    Pineapples are tropical fruits rich in vitamins, enzymes and are one of the best antioxidants which boost the immune system. Moreover, they are great air purifiers, in-fact they are ranked ninth in NASA’s list of 50 Air purifying plants. Research also suggest they improve sleep quality and help reduce snoring! Apart from all the benefits, they offer pineapples taste amazing and look beautiful!
    Pineapples are very hardy and easy to grow plants, they require very little care and attention. They can grow with very less amount of water as well, they have tough leaves and so they do not lose much water through evaporation.
    It is important to have a good draining arrangement so that excess water can drain away quickly. As they belong to the bromeliads family, pineapples do not grow big roots. They can happily grow in pots and tubs, or else you can directly plant them in the ground as well.
    The leaves of pineapple plants are very spiky, so make sure to put them in a place where they do not cause any trouble, also take care while handling them. Pineapples require 18 to 24 months to fruit, depending on the quality of the plant, the climate, and the care is taken, it also depends if it was a pup that was planted or a crown top.
    Pineapple plant flowers once and produces a single fruit. They produce suckers or small plants around the main plant while it is flowering and fruiting. The mother plant slowly dies out after fruiting but the sucker will grow on and eventually produce new fruit.
    Growing your own pineapples in a slow process and requires a lot of patience, but the joy of watching your plant flower and fruit is simply beautiful. Once you get the first few pineapples, growing them will become much easier and faster!
    I would recommend you all to go through the video and give it a shot at growing your own pineapple at home. It is super easy and equally fun all the way!! So get down to it!

    I have been growing my pineapple 🍍 for 33 months. Still no sign of a pineapple. Any ideas?? Do I need to continue to be patient. It’s in a 5 gallon pot and I live in Charleston South Carolina. I bring it in during cold spells and set it during warm spells during the winter. Any ideas?

    Hi. I lives in Hyderabad. Here temperature is quite hot. So can I place the plant inside my house to get the good result or shall I place it in balcony?

    • @gardenangel384
      @gardenangel384  Před 3 lety +1

      If the temperature is extremely hot then you can keep it indoors where it will receive atleast 4-5 hours of sunlight.. pineapples can tolerate heat at its blooming stage
