    Spider plants also known as Airplane plants can be easily found with most plant lovers. They get their name from the baby plantlets which form on their dangling stems resembling like a spider on the web! They look amazing and are as hardy plants as the Pothos, easy to grow, and easier to maintain!
    The three major things you need to look out for, in terms of spider plant care are:
    1. Temperature: The right amount of sunlight plays a vital role in the growth of your plants. Spider plants in particular favour indirect sunlight. They can thrive in most of the environments, provided a proper air circulation is present.
    2. Adequate watering: Watering your plants as per their need is one more thing every gardener should look out for. Over or under watering your spider plant can hinder your plants' healthy growth. Maintain a watering routine for all your plants.
    3. Fertilization: All plants need nutrition to improve their disease resistance and promote growth. Make sure to adequately fertilize your spiders about once a month but do not over-fertilize in any case.
    Apart from being a beautiful looking indoor plant, spider plants are excellent air purifiers, which have the ability to absorb carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, and xylene from the atmosphere. Spider plants are non-toxic plants making them pet friendly and can be kept around children as well.
    I have tried covering the propagation as well as the care part along with some great ideas to make your plant healthy and happy. I hope you like the video.

    पालतू जानवरों की तरह पौधों को भी विशेष देखभाल की ज़रूरत होती है। जिस प्रकार आपका पालतू जानवर बीमार हो जाता है और उसे उपचार की आवश्यकता होती है, उसी प्रकार आपके पौधे को भी उपचार की आवश्यकता हो सकती है जब वह बहुत अधिक उर्वरक खाता है या यदि उसे बहुत अधिक या बहुत कम पानी दिया जाता है। यदि पालतू जानवर का तुरंत इलाज नहीं किया जाता है, तो बहुत छोटे कारण से आपके पालतू जानवर या बच्चे को खोना संभव है। यही बात पौधों पर भी लागू होती है। पौधों को दैनिक देखभाल की आवश्यकता होती है ताकि आप हर दिन पौधे के स्वास्थ्य के बारे में जान सकें।

    Angel, I noticed that the leaves were rotten down to the roots. They were easily pulled off. This kept on happening until the plant died. Was it a fungal infection?

    • @gardenangel384
      @gardenangel384  Před 2 lety +2

      That’s because of over watering. No proper sunlight and irregular watering patterns

      That's exactly the same thing that happened to my spider plant 😞 I threw it away, being a full-time student, working a full-time job and a part-time job, I was barely home, my apartment was always dark and I sometimes forgot to water the plant, so I threw it away, sadly I am too busy and on the go to properly care for a plant.

      You water it too soon might as well adjust it to 1 week . Spider plant dont like a wet feet

    • @gardenangel384
      @gardenangel384  Před 3 lety

      Change the place of the plant and keep it near a bright corner for indirect sunlight! Brown tips indicates that you are either over watering or under watering your plant .. water only when the top 1inch soil is dry .. between 4-5 days .. if the roots have rotten already due to over watering than you can repot the plant and clean all the rotten/ dead roots

  • @JayashreeShreedharan-dq9hi

    • @gardenangel384
      @gardenangel384  Před 3 lety +1

      Exactly!!! You should only water your plant when the top 1 to 2 inch of soil is dry otherwise over watering will damage the roots

    • @gardenangel384

      After the soil check, if the top 1 inch soil is dry , you can water the plant .. water it thoroughly unless you see water seeping out from the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot.

      To be very honest , it’s very easy to maintain spider plant ! Firstly, before buying, check whether it has any brown leaves for tips... always pick healthy plants from nursery.. use the correct potting mix and give your plant some time to adjust with your home environment .. don’t keep the plant in a place of direct sunlight for more that 2-3 hours otherwise it will damage the plant .. and water only when the top soil is dry !
