He’s 100% correct. Once you go green, there is no going back. I recently quit smoking, and took up plants instead. I have a new, healthier addiction. Thank God.
niiice!! 👏👏👏
Hallelujah. 🤗🤗
Congrats on quitting smoking!
Thank you all so much!!!
Congrats!
"Ex plant killers who want to turn their life around"😂 😆 ahah I think we pretty much all start there🙈
Sophie S. I agree. We kind of all go through that experience. Lol
Christian Esguerra yeah hahah RIP my very first Phalaenopsis orchid that I lovingly planted into a pure dirt mix 😳🙈💀 poor thing did not stand a chance 🙏🏻
😂😂 I was NEVER into gardening/house plants. When I moved out on my own (at 19) my mom was like, "Here you go" **hands me a huge Pothos & two Amaryllis** I was like "okayy....? Ty??" Lol surprisingly I didn't kill them💪 Decade later, my house is a friggin jungle! LOL
Florence Perez That’s awesome. When I first moved out I had one plant, from that I got from my mom. The Jasmine. ...if she can only see my place now. Haha 😆
Yes I want to try a real plant.At 45.
I am a plant nut! I root EVERYTHING! I've picked little cuttings that needed trimming on my dog walks, and picked up broken petunia stems at the garden center and put in water. Fun and often amazing.
Loved your tips and I have a few more:
1. Be careful not to put Aloe in direct sun. It gets sunburned easily (move as soon as the stems change color; may come back). And I killed a huge, gorgeous jade thinking it would be nice for her to enjoy the summer outside. Bad idea!
2.Spider. You can cut off a baby (or if a baby falls off), put its base in water (not the leaves). In a few weeks you'll have roots and a new plant. I've given away many plants that way.
3. I have rooted assorted Pothos in water. After ample roots emerged I planted all the varieties together. So far, everyone is very happy.
Keep the vids coming!
I love how excited he is about his house plants 😍
Can u also do a video of nutrient deficiency diagnosis. Like what signs to look for. What does a plant lacking potassium, or nitrogen, or whatevs look like. So we can care for our plants better.
Yellow leafs or browning tips.. or stunted growth theres no hard and fast rules for every plant it's different for every species but a general rule is find out if it's a winter or summer grower and always firtilize with something like fish emulsion, miracle grow dose work but plants like natural things worm castings work too but it's best to research based on the plant or genus a 10 minute Google search will give you all the info you need and ALWAYS use a well draining soil except for special cases like a peace lily or something that basically likes to drownd lol good luck! 🌿🌿🌿
@@masonplank6627 lol you're not wrong about peace lily's
when you have every plant he suggested LOL. guess im not a beginner anymore, gotta stop lying to myself hahaha
Theo G haha. Lol...are you a plantaholic now?! 😆
Yayyyy
Haha same
Ha!!!
But truth!
Bruhh saaaaame, I cant stop...
Wow 7:01 That was the prettiest Spider plant I've ever seen! So many babies hanging around!
I love spider plant
They get like that when they live outside
SMH, I almost killed my spider plant last year when I forgot to bring it in when it froze! It took me a year to get it back around and now all the leaves are turning brown on the tips. What am I doing wrong? It looked good 2months ago but going down fast!
@@donnaoberdorf750 i saw in another video that the type of water can cause that... try watering with distilled or rainwater was what was suggested
So gorgeous! Whenever I see them in stores I'm like, pass not a cute plant. This changed my mind. I NEED a spider plant now 🤣
I'd suggest the money tree. I have one that was given to me by a roommate that couldn't look after it (I was the only person in the house watering it lol), and it was my first ever plant. It has survived several moves with me, and has been in many different lighting/living conditions with no issues! He's a big boy now
Here because Jenna marbles made me want to start buying house plants 😂❤ thanks for the awesome vids
Lmaoo same
Gurl sameeee
Struggle 😂😂😂

Thanks for the vid! Beautiful babies, I love seeing my girls thrive and hope to keep them alive 🌿☘🌿
Thank you for the video, this help me a lot. I'm a beginner, and im so excited to know-well all the plants like you.
Recovering plant killer here. I started a watering schedule for a couple plants at work. It was a pleasure to see my plants grow! I want to bring the joy home now.
Christian, I highly enjoy watching your videos!! I agree, that the Pothos is definitely a good plant for beginners. Especially, the "Golden Pothos." They grow pretty fast, and i water mine about 1 a week or every two weeks. I have both of my pothos near a window so that it can get the green and yellow variegated leaves! Keep the video's coming! happy planting!
jessica sills Thank you. The golden Pothos. I definitely want to add that to my collection. 😆
Omg i find low water plants to be sooo much harder! I can't remember to water every other week, i like to just water when they are dry! Lol I am an over waterer in recovery :( thank goodness for my peace lily, polka dot, and pathos...
Carrie Tafoya haha. I know what you mean. Sometimes I’ll look at my zz plant and wonder when the last time he was watered. 😆
Put a weekly alarm on ur phone it might help...
Carrie Tafoya buy a moisture meter. I got one and it’s saved many of my plays from over watering. Lol.
That sounds like me. I love plants. But I have to be careful not to over water .
Use an app like Vera or Planta to track your plant's watering needs!
I think you made some great choices. I love the idea of using snake plant for a room devider.
Thank you that’s really helpful I’m a beginner who loved succulents.
Thank you for explaining the topic well, a nice voice,, you go straight to the point the reason I SUBSCRIBED !!!
great job been growing house plants 40 years good advice loved your presentation.
Being that your plants are healthy and prolific. . . that's pretty much testament to how much they adore you. Really enjoyed the presentation and you've inspired
me to pick up some new ones--when we're not in self-quarantine. Enjoyed your video and have just subscribed. Anticipating watching more. Thanks!
Darryl

I Also have lucky bamboo, fittonia, chin cactus, bryophyllum, haworthia, maiden hair fern, and m experimenting with a Gloxenia indoors. So far so good.
THANK YOU. really want some green in my house. not only for looks but for the health benefits.
I know literally nothing about planting but I'm really interested to start learning! Thank you for the suggestions 😊
You are killing me with "every other week or every 2 weeks". That's the same thing. Thx 😁 for the video tho. It was very helpful. I'm trying to learn to take care of house plants properly. Thumbs up.
Mombot 101 Haha. Every other week, every 2 weeks. 😅
Mombot 101 I was thinking the same thing, with the every other week...lol But great video overall. Very helpful. Seems like a nice guy too.
Mombot 101 not literally. Literally, “every other week” means “every other week”, which could be the 2nd week or the third. He’s not wrong.
@@norwegiannignog2470 ok, let's agree to disagree.
@@norwegiannignog2470 Every other week means every two weeks. Literally.
I caught this and it made me laugh too! 😊 he's super sweet and helpful, just made for a quirk ☺️
I love indoor flower too and I have one of a kind flower but now I know what flower to easily to care thanks for sharing.
Could you make a video of the amount that you water your plants? Do you measure the water, do you stick them under the faucet , do you water them till the water runs out the bottom etc
I've read that for spider plants not to water too often & When you do you should put the pot in a bowl or pan so the water can't simply run through. You then let them sit a couple minutes to let the roots absorb some water & Then let as much drain out as wants to. I'm worried about over watering mine. My plant looked great & never seemed happy after watering but the soil seemed pretty dry. (I'm concerned it never gets enough light when it's not sunny all day)
Thank you so much your plants 🪴are so beautiful, I wasn't sure how often I should water my plants so Thank you for letting me know
I’m so happy you posted this! I am going to a really cool plant store in a day or so which has tons of rare and common specimen! 😊 great video thanks! 👍🏼👊🏽

Very nice collection and plants are looking very healthy, keep doing 👌👌👌🌸💐🌸💐
So helpful! Thank you!!
Great video!!! These are good for improved air quality and sleep as well. Question. When repotting, do you have to put a bottom piece with holes below the soil? Thanks
I grew a jade plant into a bonsai and lemme tell you it's pretty great once it's really grown. Looks so amazing. FYI : took about 10 years
I started with 1 jade plant in a 4 inch pot and it morphed into a jungle. Now I have 5 that I overwintered, I might have forgotten to water them, but they are fine. I also have haworthia that are very tall and slender that are making pups all over! How are these living, and my spider plant looks so sick?
I so desperately want to successfully grow a jade plant. This is my 5th try 🙈
@@The1Emma86 stop trying so hard then. Jade plants kind of thrive on neglect. My bonsai has grown on its own
I'm a beginner plant guy and I realized I have 90% of these before even watching the video. I guess I picked right! I love taking care of my plants and I can't wait until they're bbig enough to propagate and give to my friends :-)
Love that all your planters where white! Mine are too! They bring out the vibrance of the plant!
So does lime green or turquoise
Hi Christian, i just found you today and im amazed by ur interest in plants..especially tropical. Enjoyed ur video. Rico frm Malaysia
Crazy on all your plants..all the best
Hi
Your plants are beautiful..
Especially that big guy..awesome
Your spider plant has so many babies 😍 lovely plants xx
I love my snake plant. It does well in the house.
My pothos does well, but lost the marble coloring due to the low light, but it's growing.
The peace lily does well, but I alternate one in the house as the other two rivers under the tree in the back yard.
My ZZ plant has to be reported yearly.
I like your spider plant. I really like your stand.
Great suggestions!!!
Thanks for the tips. The snake plant is beautiful.
Great informative video, thank you!🙏 😀
Well explanation and healthy plants. Love this video
Nice plants for beginners. Good job!
Thank you for keeping it simple just subscribed!
Thanks for the tips!!!
Love the spider plants.
Your video ia on point, 👍
All of these are so pretty. Going to start my little green family today 🥰
Yay. Congrats on starting your plant journey and green family. Excited for you. 😊
For me, the snake plants, pothos, and aloes are the easiest plants ever! Great video! I enjoy all ur videos 🤩🤩✌️
Malexah Mor Thank you. 😊
Since you do well with the aloe you should go grab some succulents :) succulents are in the cacti family. Here in florida I don't even take care of my aloe & it just grows & grows
Hi, I did had succulents and they died. I have Echeverría, an spiky aloe, and a cactus. I don’t know what I did wrong, probably too much water and not much sun😢 the only succulent that I have and lives happy in my house is the HAWARTHIA, I truly love hawarthias ❤️🌱
Love these! I’m just now getting better at not killing plants so I’m branching out...pun intended 😂
Thank you for sharing!
I've heard spider plants tolerate low light well & ideally like 12 hours of bright indirect light. (not sun shining straight full on them, but more beside a window that has that light) I got one 2 weeks ago that has several shoots with dozens of tiny pups so I'm eager to learn right away to keep the mother happy & propogate these nice babies. NASA research for air cleaning & oxygen producing lists these in their top 10.
that “ tadaaa” is so cute im soft
Amazing video, thank you!
A new plant parent myself! Been struggling a little to find stuff because SO MANY of these plants are toxic to pets, and my GF and I want to get a cat in the near future. I am happy to have learned that Spider Plants, as well as Peperomias and Hoyas, are not! Looking forward to growing my collection!
Thanks for the ideas.
Wandering Jew Plant is also a great beginners plant. It is so easy to start new plants with it as well as you just put some of the stems into water and they root. Then just transplant them into soil.
Nice video, now I know my own house in the future will be looks like
was looking for indoor plants ideas, and found your channel. Im hooked. mostly because i have most of these plants but its outside. any tips for plants for office?
Very beautiful plants and I enjoyed watching the video

Nice one Christian! It's pa-those BTW. Let's see, spathiphyllum (peace lily), coleus, chameadora elegans (parlor palm), raphis palm, tradescantia (wandering jew) are some more. Your plants always look so healthy and robust; love and good care!
