I think it is absolutely beautiful, and I understand you having to be the last one to touch it, finish it. This is art, it's an inspiration from your heart, put into a sculptured wall, which makes it art. Not unlike Michelangelo and the Sistine chapel, he did have a helper, but he had to go over the work. I know that his helper was not half as pretty as yours, she really has an infectious laugh, very nice girl. This wall is a labor of love, and all of your muscles are supposed to hurt. Just like the trees you see the individual beauty in each and every piece, which makes all the people that are watching this inspired. Thanks for making the videos, I really enjoy watching them. Man, I really love and admire your spirit. I am really concerned with the structure, though. A building should have at least three stiffened walls or rigit connections on the pillars. You have neither of those things. When the sides are closed, the whole stucture could twist and collapse, due to strong storms. Please contact a structural engineer. Godspeed

A tremendous amount of work compressed into a 23 minute video. Would it have been possible/quicker to clean the surface of the stones as you did your cement work instead of cleaning them afterwards? I agree with your helper about wearing masks. Did she say that her father has not worn one for 45 years? Thanks for sharing.

I think you're wrong about using larger stones even though the smaller stones make more work. The result is stunning and you've created an entire wall of art as opposed to a wall that just holds up the roof.

out of curiosity - i like the stone/glass walls .... do they add any structural strength (they're not tied into the logs... the small screws don't count)?
In the end, everything will add to the structural strenght. But they are not build to be a structural pillar like a concrete pillar. It just has to be strong enough for the lightweight roof I'm putting on top

I like the art part of the house but with out wire mesh for strength aren't you worried that it's going to fall apart eventually, I'm guessing after all that hard work you would want this to be a permanent structure. Good job though 👏 👍

Hello and thank you for these inspiring videos ! I am wondering if you dried and seasoned your logs and lumber before using them in your structure ? Wood that is not dried properly before use can shrink, warp, twist, or crack and cause pretty big problems later....what did you do with the trees after cutting them down...did you bring them to a mill to have them cut into lumber, or did you buy lumber that was already seasoned and dried ? Did you uses screws, nails, or pegs to join your boards ? Just wanted to learn about how you did some things. 🌲🌲🌲🌲

The wall looks great! but good to know that it takes sooo long to make that, in case I am tempted to do a similar thing :-P. In retrospective, besides using bigger stones, do you think the process could have been sped up somehow? All the best, you rock!
I mean, these spaces were really small and I used rubble stones. I think any type of square-ist stone would speed it up. Having a bigger gap and use bigger stones would definitely speed it up. but still you'll need small ones to fill in the small gaps...
