    Thank you. Didn't know any of this. My front tire filled up just fine; back tire hisses when I try to pump it. Now I'll look more closely at it and see what's up.

    Thank you my man! Should be top of search results. I do the first mistake every year especially as the bike shop did not align the tube straight

    so just to be clear ,air does not come out of the valve even if u dont have the cap?

    • @DrCrankysBikesforKids
      @DrCrankysBikesforKids  Před 2 lety +1

      Correct. It could stop a small valve leak I suppose if you tighten it enough but that is not its purpose. It's purpose is to stop dirt getting in and clogging the valve.

    This happened to me as well but My bike pump isn’t workin when I tried several times . I used a one23 bike pump which comes with a football pump but when I try pump my bike it’s comes out from the football pump not the bike pump.

      Sometimes you have to loosen the end of the valve head on the pump so the tube valve can fit all the way in. Also remember to put the head on in the "release" position then put the valve head lever back to lock it on the valve and seal before pumping. Good luck.

    Hello. I have a 350 air attack pump. Im not sure but I think the inside of the head of the pump might be broken. The inside that pushed down the inside piece on the tube so the air gets in. I hope you understand. How can i fix it?

    • @DrCrankysBikesforKids
      @DrCrankysBikesforKids  Před 3 lety +1

      That pump will only do Schrader (car) valve tubes. If you want to pump presta valve tubes you'll need an adapter.
      If doing Schrader valves check the pump head is fairly tight - the ring on the pump head rotates to tighten or loosen (or even open up the pump head to check). You can buy new pump heads for about $20.

      You might try a fork with thin tines or a valve core remover from an auto shop ($2)

    The air comes straight out through my pump quicker than I can pump!

      @DrCrankysBikesforKids  Před 5 dny

      This could be a hole near the valve in the tube. Or your pump is not correctly sealed on the valve.

      Probably a puncture. Replace or patch the tube: czcams.com/video/oFZILoaxIa4/video.html and czcams.com/video/NJfP0a5m1g8/video.html
