  • I've seen this question pop up in a few groups I'm in so I figured, as a Street Bob owner, I would talk about why I went Clubstyle with my bike.

    The best street bob look is the one you have planted in your head. Go for whatever you like and be creative with it.

    I've noticed that those of us who spend more time on the highways eventually become some form of club style for its functionality

      Big facts! It helps a ton at higher speeds and highway riding. Thanks for tuning in! 🤘

    I've ridden with a similar fairing/windscreen for a few years & like it. All the wind & bug protection without the weight that the batwing/shark nose have.

      @lifeofjustinjames  Před 2 lety +3

      True! Helps so much with Wind and bug protection. Before a fairing I used to have so much bugs on my helmet and me

    I never see street bobs with ape hangers but I have them on mine and love them. I agree with the bumps, just got my bike and ran into that my first real time riding it. Definitely going to have to fix that ASAP! Looking at chopping my fender/struts next but keeping enough fender to do a step up seat. I've yet to see one with that combination.

    Great video bro. You dropped the secret; its your bike, do whatever you want. The more someone rides, your bike will talk to you and then worry about updates. On that note, first upgrades should be shocks, seat, and handlebars. The M8 is perfect, really no reason to be cracking open the engine and messing with it

    I like the look of a riser without the fairing but I will still get the fairing for my street bob just in case I know of a long trip. But for city rippin I personally like the naked look with just a 6” riser

Can you give me details on your riser and handlebar setup please, and does your setup makes the handlebar lower/higher than the original mini ape setup? Thanks bro and safe riding!

    The things that keep me from liking the fxbb as a club style platform is the low ground clearance, peg position, the lack of two rear shocks, no central guage cluster and the single front brake. A bobber is a low riding minimalist, the club style is a plush cornering monster. They are completely different bikes. Have one of each.

    The Street Bob wether Dyna or Softail is th eperfect choice to build into just about anything. Why buy a more expensive buk ewhen your gonna rip it apart and change everything. Personally I run 06 Bob, so far it has T Bars, T Sport Fairing, Big Radius 2 into 1. Waiting to be fitted I have a pair of Harley Reaper Alloys, an FXDX Tank and plan to black out the remaining alloy / chrome parts. Probably gonna swap the HD Leather Panniers out for Peli Style Cases or Leather Pro's. Seat wise I run the standard single seat but also have a Sundowner which I may get re made into a Step Up style or maybe buy a CC Rider Step Up Seat as i'm on a tight budget. Would love a FXRT Fairing at some point but don't have the cash at the moment.

    • @lifeofjustinjames
      @lifeofjustinjames  Před 2 lety +1

    i ride a fxdb. im on the highway every day rain hail or shine. I thought of transitioning to the club style look, but im not a stunt rider, Bobber all the way, its comfy enough for touring with a few mods. i dont get why people spend thousands of $$$ for the club style and wont even pop a wheelie.

    I see a lot of young riders of late go this route, and they all look like the same bike, Fairing, step-up, 2-1 and tbars the club style starter kit lol..u want an "Aggressive" ride go full Bobber it has more individual style my cost more but how often u see a kid on a full bobber? "Club Style" is just kinda Soft, easy, and a generational thing now days. Every Bike looks the dang same with the club style starter kits lol..there like the ford mustang majority of people has one.
