I don't know who needs to hear this but how many wars has the suppliers been in? I always thought a good action is the element of surprise would be a good thing. Like not letting Putin know we're sending tanks and training! I don't know just a thought.
Even if they don't show this on media, the Russians will still know. Just like the Americans will know, these major powers has one of the best intelligence agencies, and Russia has the best one during the Cold War, the KGB, now the FSB.
It's a very fine line they are walking. On one hand they have to tell because democratic governments must be accountable to the public and transparency is needed if not for other reasons at least so that people in the west know why retaliation takes place in the very unlikely scenario putler goes nuclear. So yeah, they can't just send/do things without telling anything like in North Korea or Russia. I think the Russians underperformed substantially during the invasion, but now they are locked in what’s effectively a peer conflict it’s them who are currently inching the Ukrainians backward, not the other way around. One can hope that will switch around when the spring/summer offensives start from the Ukrainians.
