When I was a kid and got sick my grandma would bring over a new motu figure for me to help me feel better! My mom and I still laugh to this day she would carry a list with who I had and didn't have. The only grandma who knew all the motu characters!

    Nifty video! Thank you!
I love that MOTUC "tweaked" the original designs a bit, added extra details and so forth. All those "Vintage Purists" complaining about added details and MOTUC not being 100% slavish copies of the originals got really irritating after a while. Demanding the Four Horsemen Studio to cut back on creativity and detail is just madness.

I used to get sick on almost every birthday. I usually had to wait until the following weekend for my party. But my grandmother would always give me my present on my actual birthday. This was how I got the 200X Castle Grayskull, He-Man, Skeletor, Tri-Klops, Man-At-Arms. Great 5th birthday. My little brother was born not too long after and had a tendency to break my stuff, including my MOTU stuff.

I love the Doomseeker with this guy. I know it's painted to match Tri-Klops but it also kind of looks like Wind Raider colors. Maybe Tri-Klops used a Wind Raider "model" as a base for his Doomseeker?

The first handful of figures (Tri-Klops, Beast-Man, Hordak, Man-At-Arms) are IMO examples of Classics at it's BEST. Not only because they were core characters but just really awesome figures. My friend Jason would order mine along with his order to save on shipping so I always looked forward to seeing him because I got to hang out w/ my buddy but also because he would often have a new toy for me! =)

Always preferred Tri-Klops as a barbarian, sword for hire. Never did take to the samurai motif on the 200X nor the inventor aspect. I think the hidden eyes on the classic figure was a such a cool if a little creepy surprise!

Any chance we can get a video explaining the breakdown on how the He-Man rights are split? I’m always confused on how Mattel didn’t have all the rights on what was an in-house property. Also, what rights ended up with DreamWorks. I know you weren’t there, but I’m still confused on wether or not Mattel was involved with the new She-Ra.

Tri-Clops here came out real nice, I always wondered why he came with the extra accessory since I was not all that familiar with the 200x version. A question I would like to know is what was the production run of the an average Classics figure?

Tri-Klops was a decent classic figure. The added details under the mask, the EXTRA 200X knives sculpted onto his back and the 200X Triklops spy bot went a long way toward making him a fun figure.

I'm a little confused about the helmet on tri-klops coming off. Are the details that were sculpted by The Four Horsemen meant to be viewed or would you be breaking the helmet permanently if you were to remove it from the unit totally? Those details look insane but I don't think I would want to sacrifice destroying the figure.

    • @spectorcreative1872
