How Popeyes’ Chicken Sandwich Changed Fast Food

  • The launch of Popeyes’ chicken sandwich in the summer of 2019 was an inflection point for the fast-food company. After a lighthearted Twitter feud with rival chicken chains, Popeyes’ chicken sandwich became an overnight success and kicked-off what industry analysts call the “chicken sandwich wars”. But can a simple chicken sandwich save a company that once filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection?

Agreed. I would never consider Popeyes an option before I was made to try the spicy chicken sandwich. It's a decent size too. But it's still just chicken in a bun and I don't go there but once or twice a month, max.

I am thinking about a new type of restaurants: eating-spots
in eating-spots, food keeps changing, chefs also rotate
this is opposed to current restaurants,
thanks to this rotation of food and chefs, eating-spots are more powerful than restaurants,
along with that, there is an app,
people vote for the food that will be cooked in the next days,
menu is influenced by the live input of the people via an app.

Really proud of them. I went to New Orleans last November and had to try Popeyes cause I’m corny like that lol. KFC is very popular overseas especially Asia that’s why it’s still #1. Chic-fil-A is way to expensive for my liking but they’re customer service is impressive. Solid video.

What makes Popeye's better is they're not sacrificing business and respecting other people's wishes to not take Sundays off for religion. Popeyes is an experience. You're gonna wait 30 minutes in mine no matter what. 3 cars or 30... you're gonna wait half an hour.
You ordered a 5 tender piece with mashed potatoes and a biscuit? Well it's a 50/50 shot one will be missing. Don't think about asking for it back. They'll throw shade and say "what you didn't get enough with the 5 tenders?"
It's all worth it though. Them pickles hit different idk.
