      Dave Parsons: But in the US, such nonsense has become so common that didn't even surprise me, or do I doubt the veracity without independently verifying it.
      We need to have real sanctions for lawyers that bring frivolous lawsuits for clients. In England that happens -- barristers can be suspended from practicing for X months, for example.
      The risk is some judges might make a mistake, but as long as that can be appealed, it should be an improvement for our already overcrowded court system.

    I worked in restaurants for many years. Closing one day per week is a good policy for many reasons, though very few restaurants do it.
    The "off day" is a good day to do minor renovations, deep cleaning, and other projects. Good for employee health, too.

      Kyle Smith: I worked in a place like that as a teen. (Blue laws and religion impacting businesses, like being closed on Sundays were a LOT more common in the southern half of the US in the 70's than today).
      It was really nice to know you would NOT have to work Sunday, especially after a grueling busy weekend with very busy Friday and Saturday nights.
      I think that today profits overwhelm something as prosaic as being closed Sunday on the principle of the thing -- or taking better care of employees.

    I remember nearly 15 years ago the only chicken sandwich I could buy was Carl’s Jr., Wendy’s, and McDonald’s crispy chicken sandwich which was so basic while the beef burgers came in a ton of varieties. Now everyone wants a premium chicken sandwich

    It’s because a chicken patty has more meat than a smash burger. Give people protein and they’ll be more satisfied with the meal and be more likely to come back

      It’s because we can tear into a chicken “patty” and tell if it’s a real piece of meat or not. Can’t do that with ground beef. Customers want real food.

      @@brianholloway6205 there are like 7 types of essential protein (human body can’t make) and there are very few not animal based food sources where these proteins are balanced. Like unless you are very deliberately making sure that you eat rice with your lentils to get whole protein you are probably malnourished. All animals (humans included) will continue to have an appetite until they have eaten sufficient protein which is one of the leading theories on the obesity epidemic (commonly available foods are high in calories but low in protein)

      HSelf: If they were correct that the owners only tend to run a store or two and actually ACTIVELY manage the stores, then they can PAY ATTENTION to what goes on and insist on good customer service, and enforce that by firing bad employees who won't shape up.
      Far too many chains have owners that only care about the profits and so many stores go to hell re things like customer service.

Those animals cause the damage to your environment and mine. The UN found that animal ag contributes more to climate change than all transportation combined! They urged mankind to switch to a more plant based diet ASAP!

    Zaxby’s needs to run their staff through Chick-fil-A operations training. Their food is good but very expensive and they almost always eff up your order for $12-$14.

    I think it’s the quality, service, and efficiency that really sets chic-fil-a apart. The food is always hot and seemingly fresh, the drive thru is very efficient, and the employees are friendly and pleasant. Those fries are also something special!!

      d p: If the service is consistently good, that's a rarity in fast food places. The problem with many such places (when I used to eat that stuff) is that they're wildly inconsistent from visit to visit, re the behavior / competence of the employees the customers have to interact with.

      @Eduardo mine is unintentional while theirs is very likely paid for advertisement done and researched by experts in marketing and psychology to make sure unsespecting viewers crave for fastfood. In fact one can argue that i am a victim of this same marketing given how it made be become a walking internet billboard not suspecting it until you pointed it out to me.

    Beef is stupidly expensive (really gotten absurd). Pork is still expensive (ever order bacon in a restaurant?). Chicken is cheap and versatile. It's not rocket science.

      @@PHlophe in my country the cost of chicken breast went up and become higher than wings after the pandemic and to this day stays as the most expensive part per weight. I can buy wings half the price of the breasts. The problem is half of the wings are bones so i am paying almost same for the meat per weight.

      Where do you live? The cost per pound of chicken breast is definitely more expensive than drum or wing. Perhaps you’re considering the bone, but if you look at the bone structure of any aves, it’s hollow and light.

    Im shocked that Chic-fil-a is so much higher than Popeyes. Especially here in the Northeast Chic-fil-a has a very limited precense on the market compared to popeyes. Like I only have to drive 30 mins for a popeyes but over 3 hours to access a Chic-fil-a

      CFA has definitely made their target the south and mid west overall. These areas are less concerned over the fried aspects and are generally more predisposed to view a chain of their religious view positively.
      They’re huge in the STL area where I live.

      You’re right about CFA’s presence in the northeast. I’m from the NE & I had never heard of CFA until a few years ago & had my first one probably 3 years ago. I was shocked when I heard they’ve been around for several decades, I was shocked. There are now about 3-4 I can drive to and they’re all about 25 minutes away.

    It is so funny, of customers eat more chicken because they think that it is more healthier than regular meat. It is simple.
    If you make turkey sandwich , customers will buy it because it is even more healthier than chicken

      ​@@Isaac-gh5ku Depends on what you define as healthy. If you're having white meat of either the calorie and fat counts are pretty similar, dark meat jumps a bit more for chicken. Turkey also needs a bit more to it to make it flavorful unlike chicken, meaning likely higher sodium counts. Turkey will almost always be better than beef, but grilled chicken isn't all too different than turkey health-wise. It's the fried stuff that makes chicken unhealthy and that's a lot more common than fried turkey.

    I've always stuck to McChickens when I was younger and still do,I like beef, but Hamburgers were never really my thing. My only concern is that chicken sandwiches are becoming more expensive as a result of the popularity, and their inexpensiveness was a decent pro before.

    They sold Chick-fil-A at my high school. It was kind of symbol that a poor kid like me had some money. Plus it tasted amazing. So still eat it twenty something years later.

      With all the US programs to support "the poor" and what even minimum wage is getting to be, it's just not at all credible.

    Popeye taste just like most small fast food & food truck crispy sandwich in uk and France..was surprise after I tasted it that it was what was making all the craze. Turn out what was familiar taste to most European was new to american

    We eat chicken more on average because it's cheaper. And that's when you buy it at the store. Chicken is cheaper than beef. These fast food places sell you chicken, but it's priced as much as a burger. Meh, I made this comment in response to 9:58.

      @TheBooban It's about the same amount 6-8 ounces depending on the restaurant. The shape of the chicken and the extra bready crust makes it look way bigger than a burger.

    7:44 - *McDonalds* sold a *Southern style Chicken Sandwich* years before 2019. I did not realize back them it was made to compete with Chick-Fil-A.

      Yes they did I’m glad you mentioned it! The chicken has never been the same quality as chic fil a. McDonald’s tosses the chicken in the same oil as the fries and half the time it’s over cooked. I honestly prefer the mcchicken over the premium sandwiches at McDonald’s

      Yes I remembered it. I actually tried it because back in 2007 the lines for the 1 Chick-fil-A in my town always had long lines. So I tried the McDonald's version and was content. Then in 2012 I tried Chick-fil-A for the first time since the early 90s. I was blown away by the size of the sandwich and equally satisfied by the taste. I kicked myself for not trying this a lot sooner.

    Popeyes is always hit or miss. Chick-fil-A I have yet to have a bad meal. Chick-fil-A can have 10 times the cars outside and still flow faster than any other drive thru and manage to always get the order right.

    So my family and I Got stuck in the Philippines during the Pandemic and we were craving Popeyes Chicken Sandwich......well Philippines is known for Jollibee and its chicken and I tried to suggest to them (the nearest franchise near me) that they should do a chicken sandwich too.....2 years later they now have one and it's really good. Hope this "war" goes on and maybe In N Out might join in lol......

      It's because they're very judgemental when hiring. If you have any tattoos showing on your arms they will not hire you. I tried last year they denied me only because of my tattoos which are Roman numerals for my brothers birthday and mine

    Every fiber of my schooling says chicken is FARRRRRRR more sustainable a meat than pork and beef. 9 outta 10 times my stomach and taste buds prefer a quarter pounder all the way w/ cheese...

      I hear ya, but also think taste is highly subjective. Biodiversity is important, cattle (or perhaps more accurate, wild buffalo) have their place in the North American ecosystem, wouldn't you agree?
      Domestic cattle bread on cut & burn forrest not so much..
      It'd be best on the env (and likely our bodies) if we didn't consume animal flesh (including poultry) all together.
      My point was society as a whole would likely benefit from trying to reduce consumption of the most water/land intensive livestock.
      I also think it's shocking the percentage of centenarians that consume mostly vegetarian diets. Big Meat constantly markets to us in the US and not many talk about it.

    Chicken is pretty much widely accessible, from grocery stores to wing places and places like KFC, Popeyes, Zaxbys and everything else. Don’t know what to have for dinner? Stop and get some chicken. Don’t know what to cook for Sunday dinner? Chicken. And look at how many ways you can prep it…fry, bake/roast, boil, grill, sauté…It’s all about versatility

      @@uweschroeder Sorry, my bad on the wording if I am incorrect on it that it is breaded. Many fried chicken recipes show dipping the chicken in a batter mixture. Batter is just as crispy as the best fish and chips are made throughout the UK. In the US, when I visit friends in upstate New York, there is a restaurant that deep fries calamari with a very thin batter fry on the outside, and it is SO good! You don't experience that nauseous feeling from eating more than you should have fried food.

    Loves chicken. An excellent lean source of protein with less CO2 footprint (some says it's even less than soy based protein, like meat substitute). And the versatility you can cook it, you will never get tired of it.
    It's irony how back then chicken is considered as poor man's food.

    In the late 1950s we had fried chicken once a week at most. Always on Sunday at noon (dinner). Daddy always ate the back.
    We boys wanted a leg. Momma always got a thigh. The liver, etc. was a day or two later. My daddy's family were sharecroppers, but
    we were actually upper middle class by then (Daddy went to college on the GI bill and was an engineer) but we never ate out. Until
    Kentucky Fried Chicken built a restaurant in our city. Daddy had stock in that company and we took home a bucket after church pretty often .....
