- How to program a Dorman Keyless Entry Remote for select Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge models.
In this video, we walk you through the simple steps required to program a Dorman key fob to a compatible Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, or Jeep vehicle. This quick and easy process takes just minutes with the included OBDII port scan tool. We recommend reading all instructions prior to attempting programming.
Please note that all key fobs must be present and reprogrammed when programming new key fobs. If you do not have an existing key fob, you will first have to have a new fob programmed with a separate scan tool.
The instructions in this video apply to the following Dorman keyless entry remote part numbers:
Number 13776 for Chrysler 2006-01, Dodge 2010-08, Dodge 2006-01, Jeep 2004-02
Number 13777 for Chrysler 2003-02, Dodge 2003-02

Worked perfectly and at first try on my 2002 Jeep Liberty. I didn't have the old fobs available so just using the one in the package.
2001 Dodge Durango 5.9. instruction video says to present hope unlock button for 2 seconds while the instruction booklet they came with the FOB says press and hold the lock button for two seconds. So which is it? Follow steps for both buttons and still has not paired

I needed the 13378 and can't buy it anywhere. Asked dorman and they said I don't know when it's going to be in its on back order?

Hello Daniel, Dorman does not offer a replacement key fob for this car so I do not have the specifics available. I do believe a scan is required

This would require a bi directional diagnostic tool. A basic code reader will not do this

So it was defective. The second one worked, but only for two weeks...

Hello Andrew,
When programming a new remote, the car will delete all previous remote ID's so you will need to have all remotes that you want programmed present during the process.
Does this process take more then 10 tries? Should I continue to keep trying the programming? I have not been able to get it to work after the 2 minute wait.

This thing is infuriating. I ordered one that didn't work at all. I then had it swapped by Amazon. It worked find for two weeks.. then quit unlocking. It would only lock the truck. I then put in a brand new battery. Same issue persisted. I then programmed it again and it does nothing.
