This knife looks splendid and well made. It will surely be a really good help at a camping site.
@@perolozac01 amonia is used to darken certain wood wich contain tannic acid like oak or walnut for instance, i assume its walnut what is used for the handle here i might be totaly wrong thought
@@bronchiosaurus2766 judging by the wood pattern, crevaces and color i would say bog oak.

Is this blade already heat treated? Even high carbon steel will lose its strength during grinding process which will make knife's edge quickly dull, overtime it also reduces the effectiveness of sharpening as well
Depends on how it's ground. The heat has to concentrate on the edge material enough to alter the martensitic structure of the steel otherwise the blade will remain sharp and undamaged as intended.

That is ferric chloride, or FeCl3, commonly used to etch knives and circuit boards.

What do you do with all these knives. Also. Can you make an iorn dagger from Skyrim. You did super well with the mehrunes razor.

What is the solution you soak the blades in to make them dark?
Also could you do a video showing us the holder that helps you guide the knife when grinding the bevel?

I think the solution is Ferric Chloride
I wonder if you’d bead blast the blade before you put it in the acid if it would make the finish more durable?

травил скорее всего азотной,или борной кислоте.
Абдурахман Магомедов клинок травил похоже в хлорном железе, у него такой желтовато коричневый цвет
