      @@perolozac01 amonia is used to darken certain wood wich contain tannic acid like oak or walnut for instance, i assume its walnut what is used for the handle here i might be totaly wrong thought

    Phenomenal work on the guard. Really great fit and finish overall. Was curious about the notch in the handle and what the inspiration for that was.

    Is this blade already heat treated? Even high carbon steel will lose its strength during grinding process which will make knife's edge quickly dull, overtime it also reduces the effectiveness of sharpening as well

      Depends on how it's ground. The heat has to concentrate on the edge material enough to alter the martensitic structure of the steel otherwise the blade will remain sharp and undamaged as intended.

      That is ferric chloride, or FeCl3, commonly used to etch knives and circuit boards.

    What is the solution you soak the blades in to make them dark?
    Also could you do a video showing us the holder that helps you guide the knife when grinding the bevel?
    Did you buy that tool or did you make it?
