this series is genuinely better than some fully fledged anime series's.

Yeah, it may be an advertisement for their current lineup of cars, but it also functions as it own little story that is surprisingly well developed for what essentially is a 5 minute short. Tells you about the cars, had cameos from some of their older cars like the 86 levin and 86 trueno(somethingthatwas very much needed) , and gave the characters some personality, especially that sassy girl with a fantastic insult under her belt. I still wish this had 10 or 20 minute episodes but for what it is, it's pretty good.
Also, I like that in both this and initial d, the person driving the celica gt4 is a bad person.
I always look forward to their new episode

I think its so cool how much this series calls out most car manufacturers, and shows how Toyota combats that with the not just with GR lineup but with the other cars too. I blame the loss of the manual to production, logistics, and buyer issues, because Toyota clearly tried to keep the manual in the base corolla for a very long time.

Oh man, they even include the AE86 in it! I gotta watch more anime from TOYOTA as well as Acura. Maybe Nissan will get its own anime show that focuses on either Skylines or Zs. I don't know if Mazda, Subaru, and MItsubishi will get their own anime show. Also, GReat anime show!
