I'm in Davao, Philippines.. right now it is $0.40 per kilo because it is season right now. During our August feastivities it is eat all you can durian for 2 dollars.
lovely ! i'm dying to taste these exotic fruits. the pod when cut seems more like the "chinese-tung-oil-tree-pods". also not as messy as the jack-fruit of India, easier to cut-open and reach the delights.
Ah! The look on your face when you smelled it, same as me! 😁I bought a Durian yesterday for $8.50! This particular Durian is called Monkey brain Durian. Unlike other varieties, Monkey brain Durian isn't that easy to find where I live in Vietnam. Thanks for your video🙏
Also some advice, the music is a bit loud and distracting, best option is to just the raw video or very faint music, make the voice of the video more apparent. But I loved this video very informative, and It's nice either way
I started opening mine along a crack. I couldn't get it open enough so I just grabbed a hand full, and yes mine is frozen. I'll have to check and see if I can get fresh. The fruit had some tranlucent look to parts of it as well as some slightly brown. Not sure if this is normal. Oops, I opened mine in my apartment. The rest of it is in the frig. The taste wasn't bad at all. I can't describe the taste but will eat some more today. Also it wasn't too smelly to me.
SuperMarbelle frozen durian is a lot harder to open, you should let it defrost before opening...in which I think you did. Try not to buy the one that is cracked open because the durian might be spoiled. Good luck and enjoy :)

They look similar but not at all alike. Very different flavor and Jackfruit's skin isn't as hard/sharp as Durian.
