  • Here is a quick video that shows an issue I came across while removing the carburettor on this little Yamaha 3hp outboard. Once you see how it's done it is quite a simple process. Hopefully this helps someone :).

    Youve detailed the correct factory method for accessing the carburetor. The bolts you identified at first hold the reed block in place, that would mean thorough gasket face cleaning and a new gasket upon reassembly

      I think it's running 50:1 but from memory it's meant to run 100:1.

      And other sites are saying 100:1 too. Sounds odd. But everyone says it.
