The epitome of sex, charisma, class, geniality.A truly unique human being. We miss you David and we love you.Never. never forgotten.Thank you for being among us and leaving a one of a kind legacy.
He was one of the coolest, the best ever. We loved Rebel, Rebel and danced and rocked out to it all the time baby!!! RIP David Bowie. I had tears running down my eyes when I heard of your passing. 69 years young, man. Your music will last forever!!!
A man in his mid fifties schooling milenials on the art of "mysterious" sexuality. It's incredible how well he did what he did. No one else could have gotten away with it.
Oh my god! This is the best live video I've seen in my life! He's so talented, I really didn't expect it to sound so amazing! This is even better than the original version.
Just A Fab version and Somehow made even more Riveting with Funkiness . David was so Gifted at Reinventing Himself that he is Still sorely missed but and Angel now ❤️ RIP David .
Just a Great Song by one of The All Times Greats! Up There with The Beatles,The Stones and Mick Jagger! David Bowie Left us way Too Soon! I want to Learn this Song for my Open Mic Song List! Even if I need a Year of Guitar 🎸 Lessons and Practice! RIP David 😊
I've been trying to think what made Bowie such an outstanding musician-not performer, necessarily, but purely as a musician. Once you take away his huge personal charisma, his style, his fashion sense, it's hard to say. He's certainly not a virtuoso-not in the traditional sense, anyway. But I think he has a lot of self-knowledge and an incredible instinct for musical taste. He knows exactly what things he can & can't do, and he's very adept at using his full vocal and emotional range. There are supposedly gifted singers with 3 and 4 octave ranges and perfect pitch who don't use them half this effectively. Every performance, live and otherwise, is emotionally sculpted with real intelligence. The end result feels like sorcery. It's very difficult to explain just what's so good about this, but it really is a fine performance.
I loved what you said. As a virtuoso, his alto and bass ranged at a five, sopranos are a seven. There is no other vocal register. Sometimes its the peculiarity and something else of the voice that reaches the ranges of emotion that no metrics can quantify. Bowie is that. And Dylan and Cohen and and and you.
@@thebillryan In some senses his live performances did not match his albums musically, because when you listen to his albums and the complexity of the arrangements and use of stereo was incredible - you could not replicate the complexity live. That being said, his energy and passion was incredible and more than made up for it.
He wrote and played that INCREDIBLE guitar riff this song’s based on, It’s incredibly musical. BTW...VERY few guitar players can play that riff properly
this is why the universe gives us people like this.. they are supposed to be remembered forever !! from what I read he was a true gentleman, good Dad ..good friend. and just a gifted artist.... what a life he has led and a legacy he has left behind forever and ever......... ☆☆☆
David Bowie arrived 1/8/1947 - BlackStar arrived 1/10/2016 - So the Monday after reading about the death of David Bowie I read Sammy Hagar (The Red Rocker) as he spoke about how David had influenced him so much and he really wished that he had met him. …So I replied to Sammy that “You did Sammy, you have met him, as once you hear David Bowie and he enters your soul, you know him and you will never be the same again, ever! - - - - I then mentioned how strange it is that when there is someone you've never met before passes, you can still feel such a loss. ….David stayed up with me many a lonely night over the last 45 years - making my bad days better - my nights brighter, all while making me a better musician. ...What a talent. - What a career. - What a loss. - What a soul and thank you for sharing it and thanks for touching mine. -J.D.Gragg ps; We all know there is a footprint on the Moon - now we know there is one on Mars, David Bowie's.
As I just replied to Suzie, I've just been back now to have read you and I am so arm in arm with all of "us". ...I used quotations as WE were a special group of people just to have understood David the way WE did. ...I think about him daily it seems. ....I too tear up about him. ...I guess it will be a long long time before I am over him. ..I'm not bi or gay, but I never looked at David that way as it was his music that just took me away and placed me in the moment. ...ps: I sure appreciate all of you. ....It is the ALL of you that makes me feel so NOT all alone. Thank you for your words - you have lifted some of the heavy-heart. -J.D.
Es ist schön seine Musik zu hören.Ihn sehen zu können wann immer man möchte. Eine Erinnerung die immer bleibt.David Bowie ich vermisse Dich trotzdem! Was wäre wenn? Du hättest noch so viele schöne Songs singen können! R.I.P.🙏🏼😭
Well, he was looking a little ragged in the mid-'90's. He'd been drinking a lot. But he certainly shaped up nicely once he quit drinking alcohol. Alcohol is an incredibly hard drug on the body when consumed in excess.
I love this version, his suit and just him in general...greatly missed ⚡💜
How come he was more handsome older than young? Like a fine wine.
only david bowie can do a proper tribute to david bowie. he blows the original of his own song out of the water.
Dave Mustaine live better than his recordings
I think there was only one and he passed away this Christmas.
and he does it with style!

Bowie is brilliant and irreplaceable.
Love Bowie!!!! His music and genius will live on!
My FAVE Bowie song!! 🌹
He wrote that brilliant guitar riff, and played it on the single.
Seems only a few guitar players can play it properly 🤪
This is my favorite Bowie song. What stage presence he had. RIP Major Tom.
David Bowie, the very definition of a rock star! He's the rock star's rock star!
or an artists artist. Either way he wasnt for your average person
My fav bowie song, and one of the best riffs ever.
That's the great Earl Slick on guitar.
Pretty sure Bowie himself played the guitar riff on the recording.
Bowie played guitar- including that signature riff he came up with- and bass and drums(!) on this track. Astounding
For sure. My fav too. For 5 decades!
0:46 - That beginning low bass note, and the lower next one, always get to me. They set the tone for the entire song.
RIP David Jones (AKA David Bowie). You were ONE of a kind and not afraid to show it. We love you and you will be greatly missed.
I believe he set some kind a handsomeness standard for all the men .. he defines classy
yeah
couldn't agree more and I'm not gay lol
Luc ky yeah artists nowadays just go around half naked in their clips but not 1/1000 as sexy as him wth
+Kenzi Ben Exactly!!!
Such a simple riff to play but his delivery is Genius, class!
He was one of the coolest, the best ever. We loved Rebel, Rebel and danced and rocked out to it all the time baby!!! RIP David Bowie. I had tears running down my eyes when I heard of your passing. 69 years young, man. Your music will last forever!!!
I still can't wrap my mind around it that he's gone. Rest easy Ziggy.
but he hasnt gone...
Watching in 2018... The way he end the song, he just wave his hand to the public and turned back... So magical and theatrical. He was unique
Killer version - love the guitar intro in this one!!
God, I have no words, everything about this performance is just so perfect!
A man in his mid fifties schooling milenials on the art of "mysterious" sexuality. It's incredible how well he did what he did. No one else could have gotten away with it.
Alice Cooper also got away with it.
The 70s and 80s were full of androgyny. It wasn’t just Bowie.
I know someone who can in their 60's.....
Pete burns too who actually sang a cover of this
David!!! He was lightyears ahead of his time esp with this song! Hes sorely missed ❤RIP
I'm jealous of Jesus because he can listen to this live every day 🤣 ... God bless Bowie one of the greatest musicians full stop!!!!
Predivno!Nadogradio si moju biografiju! Hvala ti, bio si nesebičan i divan, kao moj brat!
I feel that
One of the best versions of this song ~ Rebel, Rebel
He was 56 but so fckin sexy, how is this possible???? luv him
+_ Yu because he's a rock god!
+_ Yu There is no age to be sexy, talented, remarcable! Simple... there is no age, and will miss him...
+_ Yu i,m almost 60...and also sexy..
+_ Yu : He kept his weight in check and he is a sharp dresser.
When was the last time he sang his song?
Never have I seen such a cool performance of a song.
David please come back. There's no one like you.
Oh my god! This is the best live video I've seen in my life! He's so talented, I really didn't expect it to sound so amazing! This is even better than the original version.

No man behind the curtain - just pure talent.
They're not making these.
There is almost NO NEED to be this good
What I love about David is he evolves without seeming to evolve.
Un uomo... il suo tempo... la sua arte... la sfida all'eternità... grazie David , lo hai fatto e hai vinto la sfida di una vita...
il suo limite ...
Best live version of this!
Just A Fab version and Somehow made even more Riveting with Funkiness . David was so Gifted at Reinventing Himself that he is Still sorely missed but and Angel now ❤️ RIP David .

Such a sophisticated style and sound to his voice RIP
A true shape shifter. How many other artists can change their persona so many times and stay relevant so long. What a huge loss.

Gorgeous Bowie.....Blue Suit......Rebel Rebel.......Hell Yeah!!!!!
RIP David!!!
RIP Starman!!
Most rock stars from the late 1960's and 70's look like 40 miles of rough road. He got better with each decade.
Well, he was looking a little ragged in the mid-'90's. He'd been drinking a lot. But he certainly shaped up nicely once he quit drinking alcohol. Alcohol is an incredibly hard drug on the body when consumed in excess.
Nancy Metrick sorry not music why's. Vocals maybe😎😎😎
RIP David thank you for your creativity and music.....
come back David....we all miss you
Love, love, love, love! Constant innovation, love you DB!
RIP Starman. Condolences to your loved ones...that would be all of us.
