About David Bowie:
David Bowie redefined musical genres and the potential of live performance for generations of music lovers. Creating and discarding a variety of personae and restlessly challenging musical boundaries, Bowie released timeless albums including Space Oddity, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust…, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station, "Heroes,” Let's Dance, Heathen, The Next Day and many more. Blackstar, Bowie’s 28th and final studio album, was released on his 69th birthday, January 8, 2016. David Bowie died on January 10, 2016, two days after the release of Blackstar. His body of work, his influence on the worlds of music, art, fashion, film, theatre and beyond, and his legacy of innovation and reinvention will live forever. 2022 kicks off with Bowie at 75, a celebration of his 75th birthday with the Brilliant Adventure box set, the previously unreleased Toy, the 50th anniversary of Ziggy Stardust and a series of special events.

Watching David Bowie perform this classic has made my day. Rest in eternal peace, David. You are so missed. Thank you all for the upload! ❤
Same here, it was such a nice surprise to see in the notifications
Agreed!!! He is so dearly missed ❤
C’est tellement ça, éternel David tu nous manques terriblement ♥️🙏🙏🙏🙏
Def missed😢
I don't usually get super emotional with celebrities but fuck...this one got me. I wanted more music and and another fantasy movie with a song so bad.
THIS MAN FILLS MY SOUL EVERYTIME I HEAR HIS MUSIC! I SAW HIM LIVE 22 TIMES ON 2 CONTINENTS! TO ME HE ALONE IS THE BEST MUSICIAN IN THE LAST 100 YEARS! HE NEVER LET'S YOU DOWN! RIP STARMAN, AND SHINE ON!
Beato Te!io solo una volta a Milano, le sue mostre tutte❤⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
I'am so jealous 🥲 Never get the chance 💔 My mother teach me to love him, in my childhood and teenage times i was too young, but as older i get, as more i love him and today i try to get his hole stuff to let him and my mother live for ever 🫶🏻
Oh, that's so cool. Must've been a blast! You should totally share your experience on CZcams shorts. You're so lucky. ♡
Love seeing David Bowie giving his lifelong friend Peter Frampton the spotlight on the opening of the song.
Hey you should look up a band called The Doublejumps if you like David Bowie
The Glass Spider Tour really deserves re-evaluating. This show's versions of Rebel Rebel, Jean Genie, Sons of the Silent Age, Fame and Time are absolutely epic.
I saw the Glass Spider tour in Atlanta at the Omni and it was incredible, I don’t care what anyone says.
Saw one of these shows in Hamburg, Stadtpark. It was kind of a farewell tour. Bowie claimed to play these tracks for the last time live and then to start something new. In all honesty and despite being happy to have seen him live once in my life and despite that Bowie is always great:
a lot of what he did earlier and a lot of what he did later is way more interesting. He felt a bit lost and uninspired during the mid to late 80s. Nevertheless nice to have the chance to re-watch a part of these gigs.
@@dirkpehrke9909 ...I went to this tour as well , I've been a Bowie since I was about 14, I'm 59 now and I agree except I'll say this era is less inspired as it was horrible lol.
@@dirkpehrke9909 What you'te describing is the Sound and Vision Tour in 1990.
@@mangasky7 No, it was 1987 in Hamburg, Stadtpark. I still have the ticket.
Rebel rebel your hair's alright
I wish i'd seen him live once
I wish you had, too!!!! An evening spent with Bowie live is a FOREVER memory!!
Me to mama
Saw him 4 times live,sorry.......
@@pseudonym5136 ...Me too :)
This song is an eternal classic tuned to the 80s.
The Glass Spider tour was excellent. I can't believe how long ago it was! Wow! 1987! Those were the days…...👌💖
Happy 50th anniversary to this masterpiece!! 💗⚡️
Hot Tramp, I love you so! ❤
I quite literally got a David Bowie inspired haircut today (bleached and everything). I recently started listening to him and his music helped me find my identity and who I was and that it was ok to be different. His music parted a cloud into the darkness ive been in for the longest time. I've drawn him several times as well, watched Labyrinth for the first time yesterday (and loved it) Thank you Starman for bringing joy to all us weird kids. Rest in eternal piece ❤💙
How old are you? Im curious bcs you are new fan.
@@user-ly6zu5yo5gim a teenager
Been listening to him since 2022 and I feel this, as a young Bowie fan (15) I find he inspires me so much and always will have a special place in my soul, his music will fuel many generations
Mr david bowie Starman unbelievable and unbreakable icon everlasting forever more than life itself
One and only David Bowie
One and only... everyone...😊
I unashamedly love this tour.
Please let us see his seated descent in 'Up the Hill Backwards / Glass Spider' and let us watch him being thrown around like a sack of grain by his dancers on “Fashion”.
😂 I want to see that too
Já to chci vidět taky!
GS was hated by some 70’s fans, not all fans. GS tour was stadium tour all over the world, biggest tour in 1987
@@user-ly6zu5yo5g Even Bowie hated it by the end - the great mother spider set was burnt in a field in New Zealand out of resentment. The laboured theatrics of this show were unsustainable, epitomising 80s decadence. Out of the absurd grandiosity emerges a brilliant collection of camp performances with a diamond dogs-style aesthetic throughline. If we can never see Bowie's art of early 1974, at least let us see its obese, Jungian imitation in 1987
Bowie casually adding the great Peter Frampton to his tour band...classic. This was such a great show. Miss you, David.
Saw him live 73 , 74 twice . . always in my heart
London. Brilliant 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The one… a true, unique talent… still hard to believe he’s really gone.Great track!!
I remember when this tour hit town (Sydney) it consumed all the TV and radio oxygen. The hype was huge it's all they talked about for a whole week as he did a few nights..
Happy 50th Birthday 👨🏼🎤 Rebel Rebel 🥂🎉
I saw the Glass Spider Tour in Atlanta, Thank you for this. I am 73 years old. David Bowie, I've been a fan from the start. I continue to be a fan in 2024.
A mighty inspiration to many young gay guys on the fringes of society. Sending out love across the world ❤ 👍 ☮️ !
Te quiero David Bowie
A day with a Bowie premiere is always a great day 🖤 Don't believe for just one second I'm forgettin' you ⚡
Сочный парень навсегда в моем сердце!
I was only thinking this morning that I still miss him.
Moi aussi 😉
I miss you old friend @David Bowie. I went into the city because my girlfriend was going through something difficult. She loved Bowie, but she also knew I kept my life and worlds separated, so she respected me. Unlike many others, I want proof and shove it; I never offered to take her to a show as a guest. Certain friends respect me and things I will and will not share to date.
I knew someone she loved walked in due to the sight on her face, but I thought no way in a living hell of all places I don't even know this pub nore you. I looked over. It was anything but packed; it was quiet other than the music. It was David Dave, aka Bowie. I live in N.Y. raised born, or the Tristate area, so it's never shocked me or impressed me who one may run into. He ordered a drink, looked at me, and smiled, hand up a bit as hello ( I lost count of how many of his shows I attended), and my girlfriend kicked me as if I needed that. I knew his look and gesture, so I excused myself and said please don't faint, or I will be embarrassed. I will always remember the words we spoke and how he looked.
I knew something was right. See, if you know anything about me, you'd know I never say Goodbye unless it is the finale or I am at a funeral. So many know never to say those words to me I have lost too many and that is what I related it to. As he had a brief liquor and was leaving, Dave came over (my poor girlfriend was holding it together like a tree in 100mph winds), Kissed my forehead, said hello to her, and said listen to me clearly; Kiddo, do not change for a soul you're a good girl human being Helen was right before she passed. No additional saving Conrad's ( my adoptive dad) ass time to spread your wings again, live love again, and keep dressing yourself. You seldom see any of us with a ho. You're correct. Keep those manners and everything you learned, even in the industry; we treasure so much art.
Kiddo, always remember the clubs you were in as a youngster. They allowed you in studio 54 CbGbs and many, additionally remember those tours from each of others. Goodbye, precious youngster, until we meet again, New York, another innocent kiss on my forehead, and he was out the door. It didn't hit me. He said Goodbye until I was driving home, music blasting in, thinking, why did Dave say Goodbye? He knows not to, only to wake up to a call telling me he passed before the media found out. He rarely, if ever, just walked into any place. It was impossible to just be Dave (like him and many others It was impossible to just be Dave (like him and many others in that day and age. I am very private even though many assume I am not; I am highly). It wasn't like the late 70s or 80s and I was still a young young child.
I hold Bowie close to my remembrances and soul, and I truly wasn't a Bowie fan; nevertheless, specific tunes of his hit me hard, and this is one out of idk 30. Yeah, rebel - rebel. Loved his wife dearly and daughter and loved his privacy he's missed dearly. This was a fantastic tour MSG and a few other he invited myself and late husband who passed at 29 in 94. There are many good eggs in this industry and many many many too many toxic ones who don't care about anyone (even their own fans some can be very scary). Not Dave who I first met when I was 8 walking in quickly to see this CBGBs begging the driver stop as he brought me home from every show I worked on Broadway. I was hooked and found exactly my scene at 8 years old.......... I miss way to many friends and am grateful for the tracks shows just to hear their voices ... seems like voices are the first one forgets
As a teen at her first concert with friends the Glass Spider tour was was awe inspiring, so thankful that I will always have memories of seeing David Bowie in concerts over the years, Forever missed, always remembered.

My favorite concert!!
This song was the opening song at Nippon Budokan on the Reality Tour.
It's a song of memories.
I was there!
Great version. It wasn't yet on the setlist of the very first Glass Spider Tour show, which took place in Rotterdam on May 30, 1987 (we got 'New York's In Love' instead). We did hear it on the 1990 Sound + Vision Tour (great versions, especially in Nijmegen & Maastricht) and a few times during the Reality Tour, when he opened the show with it. Good times.

@@thetragicyouth An entire Show at the Tower Theater was filmed on Video Tape!
Proof:
Brett Morgan, Indie Wire Magazine: „Everything was transferred over to my office, digital. We scanned every document. I’d asked our staff to organize things chronologically, but there wasn’t a table of contents. I would know what year I was going to go into that day, but suddenly the “Diamond Dogs” tour comes on and I’m like, “Oh my God, I didn’t know there was footage of the ‘Diamond Dogs’ tour.” And now I’m watching the entire Philly “Diamond Dog” show, and you want to turn it and put it on CZcams. You want to share it with the world. I watched every frame. I didn’t want to miss anything.”

What a champion
