@@makchot3263exactly. I think his tactics would be largely outdated in the 2020s. The quality of the “lesser” sides has increased significantly since. For example Ralph Hasenhüttl of Southampton, recently he was able to nullify Pep’s city despite their world class players and tactics. I think retiring in 2013 was perfect for his legacy

its actually simple formations and simple tactics but SAF values more of team cohesion, disciplinary and understanding each roles, thus the effects are high tempo, enormous passing combinations and movement of players, resulted high chances of scoring from defenders to strikers, no dependency of one or two players which exposes its weaknesses of his simple tactics.. its nothing sophisticated, simple as that, thats why post SAF eras this heritage of gameplay fading just to be written in documentaries only, very sad.
