Just tried the demo and i must say its better than i thought! but in its current state it feels very clunky and not fluid at all but if they keep on fine tuning the game so you dont feel restricted and can combine all moves with ease i think they can have something pretty good. i have just watched the live action movies and seen some of the cartoon show but im always exited for a new licensed beat em up. btw that second boss on Normal duplicated himself into 10 and i almost lost but i got out of all of the punches and punched him off screen and won haha.
He-Man should be done next.

It's not bad it's a good start but needs more improvements and varieties with animation types, voices, enemy types, vehicle types, moves, weapons, pacing and set pieces.
So basically everything XD...I agree...is not Shredder's Revenge for sure.

@@Blas4ublasphemy Well it still could be a beat'em'up like The Punisher or Cadillac & Dinosaurs where you can pick up a lot of weapons but, I'm sorry to say this, this looks really, really ugly like a fan made game in 2007 or a 4 bucks game on Steam....For an IP like GI Joe is simply
unacceptable.
In the G.I. toy line/cartoon, vehicles were a big part of the property. There should be plenty of vehicle driving stages in this game.

Transformers like this would be another great game. I was always baffled growing up as popular as Transformers was in the 80s and 90s that they didn't ever make an arcade game for it
Finally a GI Joe side scroller in the lines of TMNT and Shredders Revenge. Hope to pick this one up on Xbox or PlayStation so that I can play remotely on my handhelds.

The animation obviously needs work but I'm honestly already in love!
This is a promising start, but as of right now, the animation and game play feel very stilted. Outside of the character designs, nothing about this houses much of a GI JOE vibe. They need to get voice actors that can approximate the original cast. The guns are a nice touch. There should be more of them. If it stays close to this, it will effectively be an Open BOR title. Hoping they polish it and add much more!

Looks good so far. Hoping that they tighten up some of the animation. It would have been nice to have the music from the cartoon or some variation of it, but I guess those rights to that might be a bit expensive to secure. I noticed that the theme didn't change when the level boss appeared, they just slid in like the regular enemies. Hoping that they will get some kind of intro and dedicated theme music in the final version.

I’ve heard a few people bashing the gameplay as being extremely limited, but this doesn’t look too bad for a beat ‘em up. 🤷♂️
if I am being honest looks way too early. The Quality isn't as great as the TMNT games. They really need to add more polish and game play elements to make this fun. Go back and watch and play the TMNT Shredder's Revenge. The music is the only thing I would say that is good.

I am Really looking forward to this game, but right now it looks like it still needs a lot of work. I Love the character designs, the colors and the backgrounds, but the combos and the animations need to be smoother, and those kicks don’t look good. There should also be some grabbing punches/kicks. Also, the bosses should say something or make a gesture when they show up. They ll developers should study TMNT Shredders Revenge and Streets of Rage 4, and take the best of them. Overall this looks Really Good and it’s Very Promising, so I am Really looking forward to it. Thank you for sharing!

This is awsome, why do you get what appears to be old “Zip drive disks” when you kill bad guys lol
Looks cool.. Noticed the "reflective floor" was glitchy.. For example the red lights that would turn off and on were reflecting weird, even though they shouldn't be reflecting at all! That and the turrets didn't have a reflection. And anything with an orange light was reflecting weirdly on the floor as well.. But minus this glitch, game looks cool. Love to see 4player co-op!

I’ve always had a huge soft spot for side scrolling beat em up arcade games
Excellent video, this game has the right G.I.Joe aesthetic but it looks incredibly rough and the franchise doesn't really lend itself to a beat 'em up. Maybe a tactical, turn based game with larger scale enemy units or a 'Metroidvania' where you assemble a crew and go on missions.
Looks fun will definitely play through it when i het a chance

I'm glad you said it's going to come over various consoles because I got my fingers crossed that's coming out for the PS5.
It looks fun and I`ll most certainly be grabbing this, i`m an 80s baby, its a must have lol. I was just hoping for more heavier combos and I dunno, just more impact when hits connect. Also If they can just polish up the animations and make everything a little more fluid this can be a real gem. The joe roster is also ridiculous, hopefully there are a ton of hidden unlockable characters as well as dlc later on to play from Cobras side, and lastly there better be online coop, none of that local nonsense.

eh. I love that the characters are there, and that they represent the cartoon. It seems clunky and same same. DOTEMU should have done this, and handled it similarly to Shredders Revenge. I wouldn't buy it even though I love GI JOE. I was huge into it as a kid. still love it. this doesn't look like that much fun.

These sprites could have been better. Needs voice clips from the classic actors. Music could have homaged the 80's cartoon.
Hoping for a physical release on the switch. Strange they didnt give Duke a rifle. Double Dragon proved it can be done correctly.

I do hope to see some major changes in this,ok i get it that they are still in the beginning and all but needs some polishing to do.I don't wanna see something that made by hasbro games just for the kiddies because i see this kinda vibe here,like a pretty cheap indie game made to be given away for free or something or with very few bucks! Its better to late the project like the other company did with toxic crusaders in order to see something closer to the game i mentioned now.I waited also to see a different music to the boss but it is the same music repeated as well.The game gives big vibes from the data east's the avengers from back in the day,lets hope in the end will worth to see the final result!

Needs more polishing. Glitches when soldiers come flying down. Boss needs to get knocked down. No way Baroness can stay on her feet after Duke goes to town on her 😂

Music sounds great, but as much as I want to be hype about this release; it still can't shake that amature Beats of Rage or early GBA beat em up look to it. Nostalgia over a beloved 80s I.P i grew up with; isn't going to sell this one to me. Not this time.

After having a great example to follow which would be shredders revenge this game should be much better than this even in early stages Duke punching a tank just doesn’t look right at all hopefully they improve on what they have so far
