I bought a (full size) mechanical keyboard from WASD two years ago, with Cherry MX Clear (and custom layout) and love it. I'm never going back to normal, "squishy", keyboards again. Thinking of buying (or making it myself) a smaller (like this one) mechanical keyboard, to bring with my laptop etc (I use the Dvorak keyboard layout , and my laptop is Qwerty).
@@rich1051414 I like Browns and Clears. I got Browns first, and later Clears. I go back and forth. The Browns are nice because you get that nice clack at the bottom-out, which the Clears discourage. But the Clears have a much stronger tactile bump.
@@jpeter20 If you like bottoming out, just get reds... Personally, I don't like bottoming out. Any switch will bottom out, it doesn't make them special in the slightest.
Just came across this video -- great review! I've got one of these in black with triple color backlit keys (red, green, and blue). I'm not a big fan of the backlit, but the switches are fantastic. I have to admit, I'm really digging the beige/greyscale color of your model. It's 2017 now -- how is this keyboard holding up for you? Still a good alternative to the Alphasmart Neo?
First of thanks for the review! I love the look of ducky’s and the Anne pro 2 but nothing is better than a keyboard with the vintage look like the v60. Any one in the comments know how this keyboard holds up over time because I can see myself getting one of these!
Very cool Joe, I have a mechanical keyboard that is in the style of a typewriter with the round old Remington style keys and it makes me want to use lol a Typewriter. But when im forced to the laptop and able to be a desk jockey, I prefer it to the laptop keyboard. It's neat all the different ways we writers can spend money on the Alphabet ❤ OMG 😱 look, its a short comment, lol ❤️
Hey Joe, awesome Video. I want to buy the same keyboard, but have some questions about the quality.. How does the keyboard hold up? Do you still use it? Is the quality still good?
The great thing about KBP Paradise is IMHO the variety of switch options they offer, including Cherry MX, Matias(next gen Alps), Gateron, White Fukka(Alp clones). @6:45 Rubber o-rings are for pussies. Real men use the raw deal :D @8:48 Is it front printed? Front printed keycaps ain't no gimmick. That way the font face cannot fade away due to heavy usage.
Legend has it that he is still drinking aero press coffee to this day.
Yes!
Thanks for this, Joe! Great video
Nice Video
Looking forward to more content like this in the future

You won't like browns either after you get spoiled on clears.

It's now the main keyboard for my desktop PC. Still holding up fine, no problems.
@@Joe_VanCleave What about now, in 2019? Are you still using it and how did it hold up?

I'm still using the same keyboard, it's held up well, no problems and still feels like new.
@@Joe_VanCleave thank you for the quick reply 👍🏻. Will order it
Can we set the number keys to be media playback keys?
This thing in bluetooth...would like it.
You should do yourself a favour and flip the spacebar for the ultimate typing enjoyment
i ‘d like your coffee,man..
is it possible to use this keyboard on a Samsung Galaxy Tablet?
I just tried it with a Dell Android tablet and it didn't see the keyboard.
it should work if your tablet has USB OTG, which not all android devices do, and also assuming the keyboard doesn't draw extra power, like for LEDs.
can someone link me this keyboard?

are you sponsored by aeropress, or just really pretentious it?
Strictly an opinionated, pretentious coffee snob, but no sponsorship.

Why tease with that coffee? And the lip smack....ugh!
does this keyboard have hotswappable keycaps?
